FMA:B more recently (Though not on Netflix). Non Netflix: Watched DBZ as a kid, n other stuff seen being Akira and Spirited Away. Other than that, assume I've seen jack shit. Oh and Card Captors (not Sakura, which we found out other day is a slightly different show to what aired in the UK)...and cos my gran had it on VHS (and I think I mentioned this early on) "The Flower Girl" which I'm to understand is super niche.

Well that's Series 1 wrapped up. Now I guess to wait for series 2 to be dubbed and added to Netflix. I should really only pick up finished shows. Gotta like that FMA:B was all nice and wrapped up by the time I started with it. So, what (dubbed) anime on Netflix is worth giving my time to? I note there's Deathnote, which is well critiqued and I might stick on next. Ghost in a Shell too, which I think is a film so a nice simple watch. I'm to understand Sword Art Online is a bit poopy. My other watch is a nice Casio solar powered thing which, as Mal has pointed out, is radio controlled. Always cool when you catch it resetting itself at midnight. Not sure what I'll do when contract is up n I move on to a new phone (since my watch is very closely tied in with the phone). I guess I'd have to look around, though Android Wear as a development platform seems to have taken off and the circle watches are nice. Come end of year I imagine there will be sales on the older stuff, and new stuff out to boot.

I just use the Chrome app, iirc the main bonus of the Windows app being: Not needing Chrome, and it does the file sharing natively rather than through the button on Chrome.

There's the answer then. If it's something they're working on, given the explosion of features it won't surprise me if it'll pop out any month soon. As for "move the call" you mean "how they'll answer it on PC/tablet", it'll likely only send it when you're on wi-fi (which I imagine will be the general scenario of both being on a wi-fi network while you're on your PC and phone in a back-pack or whatever).

Their site says it can do calls. I'll be honest I've never tried since I neither have my PC set up for that (I honestly wouldn't know at this point if my mic works I've not used it in so long), and also calls get routed to my watch by default which I think would override anything else at a system level.

See 1 is pretty much exactly how Pushbullet does. I guess yeah it means installing the app, though it does expand way beyond the browser (due to the whole Intents thing built into Android it ties in with pretty much app now able to "push" things to PC). Like for any Android user reading this thread I cannot emphasis how useful you will find Pushbullet, and it's super free. 4 is kinda swish, though honestly it's a pretty rare thing to need (I guess if you're in bumfuck nowhere, but bumfuck nowhere likely has no 3G either, never mind lacking wifi). Depending on your phone make (I'm on Samsung) it can be a swipe away to turn on the hotspot.

Listed on the features page for Continuity is: Shared web browsing. Chrome Sync has been a feature for years now across desktop & mobile Cloud documents: Yeah Google Docs is pretty much the forefront there. Answering texts n calls from tablet/PC, which yeah is a Pushbullet thing not built in. Mobile hotspots: Been a thing for Android from day 1. Pretty much the calls/texts thing is the only "not in the box" thing, and Pushbullet does waayyyy more than that (in fact it's a relatively newish feature, it was originally for doing small file sharing n notification sync. I know it got FB n Hangout support too last month too). It is ultimately a ecosystem choice. If you use Google Chrome and Google Drive and Google Hangouts and what not then Android is a good choice, and if you own an iMac and an iPad then iPhone makes sense there too. (Though to think on it housemate does have a Nexus 5, macbook and iPad. Quites like having Android for his phone, says an iPhone would be going way too down the rabbit hole. Same with our Graphic designer too (has an S4, no tablet yet, but rocks iMac cos stereotypes). For myself Google, being a web company, has the more platform agnostic ecosystem (to the point you can get Google Docs stuff on iOS, but not iWork on Android/Windows), so a bit easier in the long run. In fact not sure how Revans wife hasn't developed a preference at this point, surely she's used a friends phone/tablet at least once or twice over the past several years smartphones have been a thing?

"Continuity" Apple Pay and Touch ID are very much power user applications. From what Revan said, I can't those features being particularly in demand. Not to mention the fact that Continuity exists on Android (I have whatsapp, chrome to phone, google mail and Drive and keep and music all seamless linking between the two), Touch ID is available on the S5. I will concede that Apple has a good reputation for after sales support. (It's not a criteria I would use to decide a gadget purchase though). This is standard "need several apps to do things that work out of the box on other systems" sort of stuff that's common with Android. Wouldn't really call Touch ID & Apple Pay power user features. More like features that people just take time to discover. Chrome, Google Drive and Play Music are both already on vast majority of Android devices out of the box though. Same as "several apps to do things" on iOS being Safari, iCloud and iTunes. (Whatsapp is a personal choice of Thursdays, which is also available for iOS too).

Rogue was a game from the '80s. All games after it that were similar in mechanics (randomised rooms/enemies, permadeath, etc) were "roguelikes". I'm to understand at first the genre of games we know as "First Person Shooter" was originally "Doomlikes". A fair few games fall under "adventure", which doesn't tell you much. And technically Portal and Mirror's Edge are "FPS" games, just not at all like COD, Halo and co. Video game genre naming conventions are terrible, even more so as we head deeper into the world of having stories tied to them too.

I bought the Sububia app since PayPals deal kinda meant that it was only 11p. Been playing it today, it's quite a smooth little app. Nice to have some of these on your device since tablets are much slimmer n easier to set up for quick play in a cafe or pub somewhere. Did I post about the Witcher Boardgame App I got too? It was £4 from my survey credit, saved me £40 since we've figured it's not that great. It's kinda like Firefly with the slight difference being nearly everyone in the group has played Firefly, but not Witcher.

I'd be pretty disappointed that I had nothing to dunk in my tea.

As I said, if she's in the Apply ecosystem it's a bit of a no-brainer, might as well go with iPhone. Continuity is for the most part Pushbullet (which incidentally if you have an Android device you should really pick up Pushbullet) (Yes it runs on iOS too, but by all accounts it's heavily restricted in features due to iOS walled-gardeness).

Cos like giving yogi bear a neck tie was considered pretty cheap animation trick, but they manage to do even less at times. I can't advise on carrier (other than I'll be glad to jump back to EE once my O2 contract is up), but if she's wanting something simple then Windows Phone is probably better than iPhone. They're on an equalish level of simplicity, with the bonus of Windows Phone being not tied to the Apple ecosystem (unless your'e already in that, then there's not much of a question on phones, Though at this point as iOS has tried to match Android in features and Android match iOS in elegance there's not much of a difference of one being any more "difficult" than the other. My mum perfectly happily manages to use an Android phone and she struggled to set up video recording. And my dad is now on his second Windows Phone and loves em, they're quite "no nonsense" phones. Which I imagine "non-nonsense" is maybe what you're looking for over "simplicity". Simplicity means that an iPhone does great in certain tasks, but if you try something a tad more complex (and we're not talking running a web server from your phone, mainly stuff like "putting a PDF on the device") then it tends to make it waaayyyy more complex or costly than needs be.

Big Picture would be the "console-like experience", which is on every version of Steam regardless of OS (with the bonus of 360 pad support out the box for Windows, same with DS4 I'm to understand). I take issue with the fact that the Steam Machines pitch does not make it absolutely and utterly clear that they will not run the majority of games available on Steam without picking up a copy of Windows to slap on the device too (or buying another PC with Windows on to use the streaming stuff). The Alienware one, which seems to be Valves personal choice, even states "MORE GAMES" which is complete opposite of what it has
