Yeah, Total Recall and Blade Runner likely to be the ones to read.

Wrapped up American Gods. Reading it on Kindle meant I wasn't aware how thick it was until Kenshi showed me his copy. It has some neat ideas, but I feel the starting took a bit too long to get going, and spent a bit too long in Lakeside, and then wrapped up at the end a bit too quickly and neatly, especially with the epilogue stuff just tying up "loose ends" that the story was left with. Now moving on to "His Dark Materials" which passed me by as a teen, though I vaguely remember watching Golden Compass but don't really remember much but something about a polar bear fight, and something on ripping souls from kids as an energy source or something. I hear the series is quite good so yeah quite keen on this. Then maybe some Philip K Dick after.

I think The Bureau would have done better if they'd gone with their original ideas, but instead scrapped the XCOM name n made it its own thing, and just had Enemy Unknown out for the whole XCOM-ness. Instead they tried to stick to the XCOM name and ended up with a really warped and twisted development that really shows in the final product (though I think in general there was some pretty bad stuff going on at 2K cos Bioshock Infinite ended up with similar development hell issues too where much of the game got gutted n changed around by time final product was out.) Original game was essentially 50s sci-fi -shock game (no surprise given Bioshock 2 studio)

So this is a bit different the usual. Oh for the Americans since they're not exact lookalikes: Blue tie = Conservatives (David Cameron, current PM) Red tie = Labour (Ed Milliband, current leader of opposition) Yellow tie = Liberal Democrats (Nick Clegg, Current Deputy Prime Minister) Purple tie = UKIP (Nigel Farage) Oh yeah, general election up in May so expect more like this. My money is on a coalition government again, but tbh it's pretty up in the air who'll be the majority of that, and who'll end up on the side. Probably end up with it being UKIP if Tories get the majority vote again. Not sure who Labour would side with though. Probably UKIP too. Lib Dems are kinda fucked this time around, and I'm not sure Greens have much of a swing atm, 5% could be 30 seats but in reality that's spread across the nation . But UKIP potentially weakens the two main parties and maybe to the point that while it'd be an abysmal 5 years could end up with a Lab-Con (or Con-Lab) government. Holy shit, just found out Britain First is actually a politcal party rather than just a Facebook page that occasionally crops up on soon to be acquaintances n distant relatives wall.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/04/07/warner-bros-film-rights-five-nights-at-freddys-video-game - makes sense. Wonder if they can do three in a year.
-
Probably snapped up the rights on the cheap. It's a rapidly growing franchise. Best to get in at the ground floor just in case.

Scott's probably rich as hell now. I'm super jealous but I can't hate the guy for it. He found a niche, he doesn't charge too much for the games, he's modest, and he donates a generous portion of his newfound wealth to charity. Good for him, I guess.

What gets me is how Adam somehow survived millions of tons of steel, concrete and ocean collapsing on top of him. But I guess I did get most of the Praxis kits, he probably was pretty beefed up by then.

http://www.gog.com/news/witcher_expansion Two expansions, around 30hrs of extra content, announced.

So errm, how are the study group together in Community at this point?

Final trailer. Only a few weeks left.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the GOG-Steam thing is only a small handful of games that they allow you to get a GOG copy if you have bought a game on Steam, not the other way around (it'd run pretty counter to their main goal of everything going DRM free)

Yeah in Scotland it's law. I had to ask about it when the machines all were asking if you've used a bag n it'll be 5p. Kenshi assumed that was a UK wide law.
-
I tweaked the "ate" to "are" (sorry I wrote it on my phone at first). Not sure if it makes it any clearer. I guess 5p is a unit of currency here might do. On the drink driving thing, I'm not super sure on English ones but turns out as of Dec you basically can only get away with half a pint, and even then...
-
Scotland has a law that means bags are 5p. We don't have that in England. (also stricter drink driving laws)

Just watched latest episode of Flash and damn it's pretty sweet. It's a pretty dang cool show, some good cast and characters in it. Latest episode was a blast (lololol). Also I imagine the writers had a lot of fun.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/mar/31/bloodborne-dark-souls-creator-hidetaka-miyazaki-interview Interview with Miyazaki in Grauniad that has been doing the rounds. Might be a nice read up for those of you into this and the Souls games.

Housemate has started watching that cos it popped up on the end of one of our Flash episodes as "up next".

Yeah that's so far my only time using the mount. Just got on it for the super cowboy photo (I'll be honest, I can't wholly figure it out, my mount icon is always blacked out)
-
Oh I know it's not in the game, but yeah the marshes mentioned where soldiers are going missing are the same as prologue ones for DA:O though. Anywho, here's my cowboy Herald:

So while you're all off playing Pillars of Eternity I'm here playing Dragon Age Inquisition. Housemate has it on Xbox and really pushed my itch then it went on sale. So far so good. It plays different to DA:O in a fair few ways n some I'm not keen on (e.g not having a single click auto-attack is kinda annoying, double so as I think my mouse is starting to give out). There's like a lot of the base lore I can get from playing DA:O, though missing out on DAII kinda means there's chunks cropping up (especially I'm to understand Varrick is in DAII cos Kirkwall gets mentioned in a lot of his dialogue with other party members). Party members I currently have the core alongside ...err Viviene the mage, Balckwall the Warden n err..Sera the ...whatever she is. A rogue in class but in everything else not sure apart from some low class sort of masons type order? I was a mage in Origins so a lot of new Mage type stuff in DA:I (as in lore wise, not mechanics) throws me off at times. Inventory is painful to use (the complete lack of any filtering/ordering is a real PITA n means having to read each item when I'm trying to sort shit out to dump). I'm also suspecting things in my inventory that might not be expected to take up space are cos I'm almost completely full. But without randomly selling off stuff like recipes to test a theory (which might also mean not able to craft that item) I can't tell. Other than that quite enjoying it, much larger than DA:O, especially considering I've so far only got Hinterlands, Val Royeaux and err the oasis place (which I think is called "The Oasis") visited so far (got the marsh unlocked but unvisited, I'm to understand that's where Ostagar is). Fast Travel is much better too. Though I do at times miss the buildings of DA:I to go around n explore (though with the camera I'm not sure it'd comfortably work. It's a bit clunky in some of the smaller caves/structures you visit). I might go through some of your lots posts now I guess I'll understand more stuff.

If the key is illegitimate then maybe Origin shouldn't accept them in the first place. As it is it's loaded up fine n dandy n installed not long ago I presume it's a legal key. Of course if you mean if EA decides it suddenly doesn't want to become a global company and retroactively, and more than likely within the EU highly illegally, decide to clear out accounts with games that do not originate from the country where the player is based, then that is where EA needs to figure out why the fuck they're selling keys and different price points globally over the world wide web. G2A actually have a thing called "G2A shield", should any of the above happen then yeah they'll refund you. Pretty likely a good little scheme going on since it's so unlikely n yet folks like to rattle up the FUD which means G2A can get a little bit of money(it's 1 Euro) n payers get a little peace of mind.
-
I've bought several things through them with no problems. I know some developers like to bitch about sites like G2A n co, but hey that's the global market we live in. They can always maybe not put their games on sale in other countries at lower prices.
