Can someone fill me in why there's pubs in NA named after an Irish kissing stone? What's the history on that one? Or just a case of the Irish immigrants?

Oh, we just have machines that can put spin on the quantum particles how we want. That's relatively old hat at this point.

I agree with TFG n hot heart; generally a pub does food, a bar would do a bowl of chips at most. Bars tend to be open until later, pubs open throughout the day. Bars are found at town/city centres, pubs...everywhere. Drink selection is pretty much the same, though pubs wouldn't run some of the more exotic cocktails (though you'd be wanting nightclubs for stuff like that). As for brewery that's where the beer is made(brewed), you'd only go drinking there at the end of a tour, if that brewery had them. There are brewery owned pubs though, there's a Black Sheep pub in my grans village. But a fair chunk of pubs are franchise ran (like the aforementioned Weatherspoons/"Spoons", which my cousin runs one.)

That may explain stuff like the level of genius, but the Daleks would be much more interested in having a timelord than a smart human. I think if you were to go through you'd find a fair bit of set re-use, aswell as actor re-use so maybe best to not dwell upon it all. Of course Moffat does like leaving stuff in to hint at later on. I think quantum teleportation is one of those things where scientists know it works n how it works, but not why it works. Hence step 4 being omitted. Bit like anaesthesia.

Cabinet reshuffle. Jeremy Hunt is now Health Secretary. As Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt was one of the guys probed in the Leveson Enquiry as part of his work in the BskyB bid. On the Health front he's pro-homoeopathy, and has voted for reducing the abortion time limits in the past too. There's also some stuff floating about that he's not very pro-NHS either but I can't find much solid on that one. It'll be fun to see how quickly he advances Camerons plans to dissolve NHS, or at least sabotage it beyond repair.

Been on a bit of a binge of late with the What Ifs. Superman Inc: Superman ends up as Darryl Suderman. Becomes a top athlete and bussinessman. It kinda sucked. Especially as with most of the Superman what-ifs he ends up as Clark Kent/Superman anyway, which pretty much becomes the cliche at this point. It implies an over arching destiny that he will always be Superman, even if it's a brief spot of something else. Superman - Darkside: Superman lands on Apokolips and trained by Darksied as his ultimate weapon. He ends up destroying New Genesis but in process exposed to Source Wall and is given his destiny as a saviour. Was pretty good (and doesn't quite hit the "ends up superman" cliche either) Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow - Covers Supermans last days. One of the classic, if not the first, what ifs. Son of Superman - Superman is long dead and the government has subverted the law and order into control, of which JLA are accomplice (and on pay check). Along comes the son of Lois Lane. It was good but not stellar. Currently reading Superman: Last Son of Earth - Jonathan Kent (the astrophysicist) discovers an asteroid heading towards Earth. He and Martha send their child off to space where passing through a wormhole he lands on Krypton. It's quite good as you get to see Krypton a fair bit more.

Pretty strong opening. I think the main issue was that it didn't really play much with the concept of an insane Dalek, given we have had this guy in the past and he was cool: They mainly just seemed broken and dilapidated. The Old Folks Home of the Daleks more like. edit:

Yup. I just found it simpler to use 360 pad though. Also a slightly annoying frame rate drop in menus which I'll have to trouble shoot. Currently just after the first Mark mission. Having minor flashbacks to the damn horse.

Oh that is quite long. I think I'll watch it later. As for Lightning, she was pretty much made to be female Cloud, so there's that. Also she does go missing, hence the plot of FFXIII-2, so you have "Lightning Returns". And yeah kinda neat they've finally said "yeah we're ending this trilogy". They've still got several other FF titles to finish off as well though. Proper FF games too, since from what I've being reading of this (though I've seen nothing first hand) it's more of an action game than a FF JRPG type.
