Few days late but here's something that Apple definitely have as non-standard that makes things fun for everyone else:

And stores how much n costs how much? Is it aimed at commercial, consumer or even archivist sector? I understand the properties of quartz but that article has bot all on how it works as a storage medium and not even a brief reference to Superman.
edit: The source article points out yeah it's primarily for archiving. Which means price would be high but I'd still be uncertain on capacity. Tape is pretty high capacity (And getting cheap still)

The link probably won't work if last time is an indication, but basically on the Play Store is a "25 billion apps" sale going on with a bunch of apps and games going for £/$0.25
Yeah the issue with games is they tend to have terrible balancing between music/SFX and voices and so I will tend to put Subs on where possible/required.
Yeah I'm with Ethan. I'd much rather watch an iffy dub in a language I was raised on than a potentially iffy dub in a language I don't understand. Combined with reading the film/show. If I wanted to read an anime most of them have a manga counterpart.
(Though I'm fine with snippets of films having like a russian/alien dude that's translated or what not. I have fond memories of my mum reading me Stargate)
If you zoom back in time to the "Games you've bought 2011" it's where I got DXHR from. About the same price and time after release too. This is the Int'l version too, unlike DXHR which was Russian, so no need to harass Maritan to see about activating the key for you.

Borderlands 2 for $25/£16 for today only. I'm sorely tempted (though all it'd do is expand the backlog). I'd need someone to play it with.
@ST: Pretty much.
Also after the "Next Time on Doctor Who" was on all of us bar Erin went "ooohh". So we got Erin up to speed yesterday with Blink (she's watched some episodes but not others). We said not to bother with the Byzantium one though, just hoping Angels in Manhattan is closer to Blink than Time of Angels.

PopCap Dublin have laid off a bunch of staff. But on the flipside EA are opening up 300 positions in their Irish customer support centre.
Thing is while there's nothing wrong with changing connector it is kinda silly that with Micro-USB becoming the universally accepted charger/data connection that Apple would change to something completely n utterly propriety still.
And yeah using apps with friends implies social connectivity, which is not really tied in with the specific apps but the networks they use. And sharing is shit tons simpler on Android since it's built right into the OS intents (instead of being tied to just FB and Twitter on iOS)
