I think Steam is heading for a big revamp soon, and hopefully focusing on the store front cos it's poop. Big Screen mode is due alongside CS:GO (out in a week) and the regular programs are heading to Steam 5th Sept (3 weeks) and Linux is in works at some point soon. Mac release brought with it the 2010 redesign, so maybe a 2012 redesign might e coming along. Which would help with not having photoshop and such cluttering the game side of things (though there's hope given they finally allowed you to toggle DLC). They've had the EULA update too, so obviously they're in some kind of mood for updates (also of note is that their new EULA will more than likely apply to software through Steam too, it took 3 years to update to current form I doubt they'll replace it within a few weeks.) They're also due the new download stuff too, they've being gradually switching some games over, but none of the client-side changes are in place yet. Some games can be run without Steam, may be the same way with this. I think a big thing to note is I've never really bought software. I think Office 2007 on the "Steal of the century" and Paint Shop Pro..7(maybe, was years back). Most software I run is either freeware, FOSS or stuff that'd still cost £100+ even with a daily deal in summer sale (and I've had no need to buy them for some time). Stuff like FRAPS might suit to have on, or maybe video editing software like Vegas n what not given Steam has ability to tie to Youtube accounts but (afaik) no way to record and or edit footage (Source Filmmaker isn't built for that as far as I have gathered). Oh and: Called it! I pointed out it's worth noting that they'd been chatting with Adobe back when everyone else was focusing on ...I think he was talking the Linux version (before the "win 8 is a complete waste of everyones time" stuff)

Lord of the Rings War in the North. Kinda bummed that essentially you beat the main guy because . Though that's only the narrative, you still have to beat him (twice). I quite liked it, though I think it could have done with polishing in a few areas. Nice to have an Eagle along too, not really touched on much in other media (hoping for more in Hobbit). I'd say its main downfall is the two AIs that I think were designed with "these should really be played by people" in mind, so playing them in SP wasn't really worked on much. They don't really follow out the objectives when they crop up (like "defend the door"), just going in common "follow main character, slash up bad guys". And it's a pain to handle inventory with them because you can only throw items you pick up their way and hope it's better than what they have now. Which does mean for all I know most of the game they spent in low level gear (you can't control their levelling either). Oh and if they both die you're fucked. The revive feature can be blocked if you're attacked. And that means normally running to one side of the level, then running back and hoping the enemeis don't catch up with you as you're holding down . I'd have hoped for many a revive skill/spell and/or item to appear at some point (There's a self-revive potion, and I only had one in the whole game).

The ds3 driver you tried years ago that was all sorts of shit was likely motionjoy. They lacked driver signing so it was fiddly as hell to set up.

I'll point this out again: all that's official is MS are downgrading Metro to "codename" status. That there's potential trademark issues, and with Metro AG, is speculation on news sites part. Potentially they have no issue at all with ms use of metro.

They've actually being dialling up the updates lately.

Saw someone arguing we only won the medals we have because as host nation we get to bypass qualification. Because of course the people that went on to get Olympic medals wouldn't have gotten through qualifications on their own merit. Well generally depends if you're anti-royals or not. America did seem to care for their wedding more than us brits. Now the Daily Fail however. That rag is viewed with ddisdain. Americans seem to like reading it though.
