  1. It's not the size that has been the issue, ships are fucking huge, you can put ships on ships, it's that the power needs have been too great for what a ships powerplant can deliver.
  2. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.NamcoNetworks.PuzzleQuest2Android&hl=en Now I have a phone that's pretty decent at playing games I'm finding myself more inclined to shell out a bit on them. (apart from the F2P stuff, never really been my cup of tea to pay for "coins" n shit like that. I'm fine playing Tiny Tower the free way).
  3. That actually looks to be the early version given it seems to be firing the "hypersonic bricks" rather than the newer (though kinda old now) missile shape projectiles. Which I can't still get over the fact they started with bricks instead of missile shapes.
  4. Touch wood is like a kind of "avoid the bad luck/hope it doesn't go wrong now I've praised it" thing. Dunno "knock on wood". And yeah you'd touch wood/noggin when saying it.
  5. I'm at my aunts, it looks like your regular smooth/gold type coffee, and for the most part tastes like it. But it has some kind of smokey after taste that I don't know if it's part of the coffee or due to her taking up smoking again. But it's in a sealed container and she smokes outside, so I dunno. Only two tea bags left, may have to pick up a small pack of tea or coffee for myself tomorrow.
  6. It generally depends upon the game. It can range from pretty much just vanity items, to a few quests being locked out, only having one character, other limited features, to needing to pay out or be limited to the clothes and quests your dude was born in. EA's Battlefield stuff has generally suffered from Pay2Win syndrome, so maybe expect that a bit. But for the most part they'll probably just copy Turbine/Cryptic set-up since they've had some of the best results from going Free2Play. (Turbine were one of the first, and their success is what has spurred many others since)

  9. Eeep. Over here we have BBC1 with live n highlights (depends on the time), BBC2 n BBC3 running live, and the BBCi/Red Button service with other sports, as well as iPlayer Olympics site with streaming n rewatching of past events. Oh n Radio 5 with coverage too. I don't think it's humanely possible to have any more coverage than what BBC have managed. Though they have had a complete internal revamp over the past year with there website side of things in preparation for it so at least one thing related the to Olympics has gone off with nary a hitch. (touch wood)
  10. PSA: Those daily indie bundles from Summer Sale are all on sale again if you're interested.

  11. So rumour on the grapevine is that bethesda have picked up STALKER. Which is good n bad news. Good in that it means the project lives, bad in that it may just end up as russian fallout 4.
  12. I'm playing Puzzle Quest 2 on my phone. It's like finding crack on the Play market. This will not end well for me.
  13. FFFUUUU. I'm gonna be at my aunts until Friday/Saturday. I expected to be off home like tomorrow.

    Kinect

I understand your reasoning for suggesting they do that, and it likely will have come up during R&D. I'm just explaining why Kinect can't.
  15. No I don't. I keep calling it a Beatle song. learn ye singulars n plurals.
  16. It's going to be three films :/

    Kinect

But a handle would be in your hand, thus obscured. And Kinect tracks hands already.
  18. I HAVE NEVER ONCE SAID IT IMAGINE WAS A SONG BY THE BEATLES. AARRGGH.
  19. Yeah I rarely did it until Revelations where you could get all sorts of stuff off looted bodies (but then again most of you lot never used bombs). Have they explicitly stated that looting isn't in it? I know most of new stuff in the ACII spin-offs are dropped like bombs, tower defense, hook blades etc, hence needing to point out that assassin groupies are back (from Brotherhood), but Looting came in on ACII.

    Kinect

But you couldn't map it to "whatever you want" though. Kinect works by taking your pose then matching it up with an internal database of skeleton poses then passing this onto the game to do whatever it wants with it. Add in "a tennis racket or whatever you want" and you make the pose database pretty much useless, thus requiring kinect to have to actually work out what pose your making on the fly, and it struggles with the concept of "on the fly" as it is.
  21. Well that's the joke with "Hey Jude" isn't it, that the chorus is composed of "Hey" "Jude" n "Na". Also John Lennon was a Beatle :/
  22. Just to absolutely n utterly clarify crystal clear: Main point is that Hey Jude just didn't really fit in any way. Pretty much any other performer(s) and song would have been better. Second point is if, IF, any other Beatle song was to be used Imagine would have been an appropriate choice (imo). Third additional point which came a bit later on is: no law against covers, especially of deceased band members songs(which technically as McCartney is solo performer his Hey Jude was a cover).
  23. Question: When the hell did covers become a "thing you do not do". He could have covered any other song, just not Hey Jude, it was pointless as an Olympic song. I'd say the Beatle has a fair bit more reason to cover the song of another Beatle than the Arctic Monkeys.
