  1. I might have strong back. The manaul says that carry is 200, but I have 305. And that's not a carry over from an old save. Oh 5 is from my gloves.
  2. Anyone here know CSS? The theme we have on PXOD does some fancy CSS to make one specfic twitter widget look nice at the expense of others looking gash. It'd be nice if it was fixed.

  3. If you're omnipotent/present: sure thing. Appropriate. (You can stop before it hit's the weird version. seems no one posted the regular version.)
  4. Well as I said in the Witcher thread Manuals used to be in-car reading for coming back from town with the latest game. In-game tutorials are kinda handy and do break down the barriers for getting into the game, but they do have the side effect that if you know what you're doing you're having to blast through this crappy bit (RTS games have always been terrible for this "Right click to select a unit" "I KNOW!!!") I think what would be best is that the tutorials are a separate starting chapter, nothing story based just like "boot camp" or something. You can go for it or skip it, also if it's separate you can take a refresher whenever. Nothing worse than cracking open a long left game and going "what the fuck was I doing? What was the shoo...oh that's the rocket launcher..woops". Some manuals are pretty crappy. Regardless of in-game tutorial or not they should still have a decent amount of info in. Even if it's an in-game PDF-like manual.
  5. My little sister playing Super Mario DS. I'm giving the allusion of being pyschic cos I'm telling her she'll die soon when the music starts speeding up and also knowing she's picked something up. The current sounds suggest she's moved onto the mini-games though.
  6. 50p from a carboot. Was thinking I might come away with nothing. Shame it's £5 to buy the first 3 chapters from the publishers site. Damn you Prologue Pass. Oh wait no.. the book industry isn't that fucked up. Oh there was also a copy of Syndicate for I think Megadrive(was stacked in the same pile as) Was debating getting it since it's supposedly good, but I can't play it so I passed. Same guy had 5 copies of Abes Oddysse. It's a good game but not that good
  7. I've yet to make my Geralt. And watch or listen to the bonus content. The music disc doesn't seem to want to play. Does it need an actual CD player?
  8. Well I'll be pumping out a review soon (woot it runs on netbooks) It has an introversion vibe (if I didn't know better I'd of guessed it was one of their games). It plays like chess in a way. I'm not too good at the thinking of chess, just know the rules. Certainly an interesting take on the turn based strategy game. I'll be more in-depth later. I'd say if you're into that kind of game it'd be worth it at current price (on the basis it's 2 copies for the price of one) but I'd wait for a price drop if you're not sure. btw with the code they also said the free copy deal is only on for a shortwhile longer. Originally was only a pre-order deal anyway. oh I'm deanbmmv if anyone wants to add me.
  9. Excaliburps look up the first post of the "internet pet peeves" thread. http://board.pressxordie.com/topic/890-innernet-pet-peeves/
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIfh_gQJS6s Here's next weeks. First of a two parter. Part 2 is in August. (A fair few have pointed out the military symbol is an Omega. Omega was a big bad Timelord of old. And he was banished to the anti-universe, so the timelock wouldn't effect him. Also the first time it popped up was the soldiers from the one with the Byzantium n weeping angels.)
  11. I will point out this is the wrong thread. And also that Thursday is basing his opinions from the scraps of information that the trailer gives off(which it would be a bad film if it assumes you've been an avid follower of the comics to be able to watch it). Brits aren't as heavy into their comic book lore as Americans, and captain america isn't exactly a character with strong marketing chances abroad. It'd be like being aghast that someone doesn't know about Dr Who beyond what a couple of the latest trailers tell them.
  12. When I get back on proper I'll have a "Winning" post for the housemate thread due to the "hand towel as a bathroom mat" guy moving out.

I might just have a no-holds rant on my roommate as well. I've been trying to restrain my frustration, but there's sooooooo much more about him.

  15. That's only on old ones. These days they're pretty intelligent and divert mains power right to the laptop once the battery is charged. Older models would just pump it into the battery then from the battery to the laptop, fucking the battery in the process.
  16. http://venturebeat.com/2011/05/25/how-many-ways-can-thqs-space-marine-game-rip-off-gears-of-war/ May as well go here. Not making a "fucking Venturebeat" thread just for this. I know I've put it in a Status, but I want it saving for posterity.
  17. They're pretty much the de-facto storage format in most if not all sony electronics. And they sell more than enough to keep SD at bay.
  18. The RAM isn't too huge a loss, at least the CPU n GPU are intact cos they were sweet. ()Just for comparison but the NGP now has on-par RAM with the PS3. Though half the VRAM) The loss of internal storage is a huge kick in the teeth though, especially if they go with Memory Stick. Because internal space would be needed for saves and DD/DLC n such. And Memory Sticks aren't cheap. It'd feel more like they didn't remove it to save space, but to sell more memory sticks.
  19. I can see it. Though I note you're using Twitpic, and that will soon go. Amazon hosting doesn't like hotlinking. Just stick it up on the TAY gallery. Anyway if we're sharing: I stopped after it starting getting too expensive. I do pop on forgeworld now n then though. (And yeah I'm pretty brutal with my paints and I also went with the default colour scheme. If I was to do it now I'd be a bit more careful and a bit more experimental.)

Yeah I'd certainly have a few things to say on the last 3 topics. Same with Goh though, last frighting game I had a peek at was watching someone play Condemned. Won't be around for this weekend though (check forum calender)
  21. I got it for disc version, it was a 15.8MB file. The alternative theory is that Steams DRM needs stripping in such a way that it requires re-downloading the entire game.
  22. Kieron Gillen just piped up about it too. https://twitter.com/#!/kierongillen/status/73869820185153536 http://twitter.com/kierongillen/statuses/73871452037853184 I've had it with other games too. I think it's some fuck up on the publishers end where they've pushed the wrong button. Given that Steam I think are the ones who foot the bandwidth bill they may step in and point out how to do it right.
  23. I was even younger than 15. I was just sold it as a Sci-Fi. Not a "Sam Neil gets his eyes poked out and the ship is coated in blood" sci-fi film. Can't say I have fond memories of it.
  24. http://www.en.thewit...unity/entry/35/ The first update patch strips the DRM from all versions as promised. Even if you dislike the gameplay you must surely love every other element of the game? Oh it supposedly includes a 30% performance boost. Grab it here: http://en.thewitcher.com/patch/ edit: And supposedly with Patch 1.1 you can now install all the pre-order DLC, so load up: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/so_i_heard_you_like_free_dlc_all_of_them_here_for_free_legally
  25. 1. We probably need a consolidated 40K thread. 2. I wouldn't want to be this Dean - http://venturebeat.com/2011/05/25/how-many-ways-can-thqs-space-marine-game-rip-off-gears-of-war/

You mean Heretic? Anyway I read it and..."Better to keep silent and appear a fool than open your mouth n remove all doubt". Harvest moon first came out in 2005 for the NDS. And even if it's older they still copied lancers with "Chainswords".

      "heresy!" as an exclamation.

When I got to the part where he compared thunder hammer to the hammer from Halo I wanted to smash my monitor with my head.
