Battra, could you please take a look in the mirror before you accuse other people of lacking fairness?

Obama is pure comedy: getting locked out of the White House, his car being too low and getting stuck on a speed bump, naming his limo after his wife, 58 states, leaving the podium to Clinton during a press conference etc. I mean, the media went ballistic on Bush when there's even more comedy available with the current clown.

  2. Wasn't that last years rumour too?
  3. 'Twas £15, felt it was a decent deal since the demo proved to be a popular attraction. Shame that it's covered in stickers :/
  4. oh talking of killing a flesh rory: Yeah I've seen the theory of FleshDoctor being the 1,100 year old doctor, but I'm thinking a trip through acidic mud to the TARDIS is in store for him. To be fair Bad Wolf wasn't exactly subtle, just at the time we weren't looking for anything like that. But yeah the hatch woman is a bit obvious and then there's the death of the doctor, Time Girl and Silence Will Fall. All overly in your face, but tbh it is a kids show, some stuff might not be so obvious to kids. Like Venice going quiet. As long as how it all wraps up in the end is satisfying then it's good.
  5. It works by using strobe lighting to make it appear like it's animated. Quite a neat trick.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvqpNhtopTU Well here's the youtube embed. It seems to give away an awful awful lot on this third one.
  7. Yeah the inanimate acid has more scare in it than "the flesh". So unless it turns out that The Flesh is wanting to kill everything then I don't see why their clones would. Maybe the next episode will explain that. I like the idea, and maybe The Fles h could have been worked into a more realistic threat, but yeah "you zapped one, now we hate you" is a bit iffy.
  8. You put SMB as number one so yeah I'm a bit surprised that it didn't make it though your other choices may have been it's undoing in pushing it down. You do have KOTOR on your list. As for me I either went for games that I've put dozens if not hundreds of ours into, so I must of enjoyed them, or I'm cool with going back n picking up to play again many times. SMB n Bioshock don't really do that for me.
  9. http://thumb-culture.com/2011/05/23/oblivion-5th-anniversary-edition-announced/ Looks shiny, though tbh I see no point at all in a console re-release. For one there's plenty of the GOTY edition floating around second hand, and for 2, no mods.
  10. HEHEHEH. Geralt now has a tattoo
  11. heheh. You don't see chell much. And the model has changed quite a bit anyway.
  12. Martin Freeman just let slip at the BAFTAs that Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be on. It was supposedly meant to be secret. I guess that solves the clashing of schedules for Sherlock.
  13. http://marvel.com/vi...son_1_episode_1 You need to do some tweaking if you want to watch it in the UK though. (these instructions actually work with other video sites, marvel is a side-effect)
  14. Ubisoft are currently in the process of making the worlds first AAA "factory". Eventually it'll be done under one studio, but would still be a huge project. (from what I understand the design is to be scalable, so they can do one AC game in a year, or churn out 3 games at a time or whatever they pick.)
  15. Yeah I saw. We didn't end up going. My housemate got a job at Cineworld a few months back, seems it's become one of those things of not mixing work n play since we didn't end up watching Thor either.
  16. Well if you're on the beta it's only >6 weeks and you'll have it without having to grab Canary on the side.
  17. It didn't save it. I changed it to easy, n died before it had got to an auto-save. So when it loaded up the game it had the old difficulty on instead. I didn't notice.
  18. Yeah that's from the dev channel/Canary. http://tools.google....lpage/chromesxs - it won't overwrite your current chrome version. It's its own program (even has it's own logo). If you want a peek at the far future then grab it and whack about:flags in the omnibar. Find the settings you want to twak, in this case it's "compact browser" or something similar, restart, then once restarted right-click a tab n "hide tabs". About:flags works in beta (and many normal) chrome too, just only the latest dev version has the newest options. On he beta release I suggest the experimental new tab page. And if you have multiple people on the same Pc, the Multiple Profiles option too. Also Gerbil if you un-maximize Chrome on any version it moves the tabs n _[]X on it's own line. I didn't have it maximized for the screenshot as I didn't see the need for it to be 1920 pixels long when the new features could be shown off in 1/3 of that.
  19. Didn't say you didn't go through them all. Just saying it doesn't point out that you kinda need to pick the first one first if you want to start with the tutorial.
  20. So I've recently discovered that while I had changed it to Easy, the setting didn't stick. So now I've changed it to easy and made sure it stuck and the game is going much more smoothly now. I think it needs a bit of polish in it's user-friendliness. It really does assume you've played the first one. I had to just stand about n blast off all my Signs so I could actually get the journal entries that would tell you what each does (In my first one I'm not all the way through them, nor did I use them too often). The visuals are great, though I disprove of the cartoon cut-scenes. The lighting at nice is really nice. Picking up items/search needs to be more acurate, I see what Johnny says about the targeting. Also I finally found the Alt power. It's R3 on the 360 pad and fuck me is it a lot better looking affect than what the first had. I'd say Witcher 2 feels very much a different game. Almost the same as Portal n Portal 2, but even more so. New engine, and a new Geralt. Part of what I liked on the last one was you were kind of incidental character. But now you're the kings bodyguard. It's moved a bit too much toward "saviour of the universe" cliche most RPG's fall in to.
  21. Havok is a Physics middleware engine. You can't make a game purely on Havok, still need something to latch it on to. PhysX is' Nvidias Physics engine, you'll see PhysX more on PC, though it can run on PS3 too. Havok is a bit more general use. Flash is used as part of Scaleform(which now you'll start to see everywhere once you know the name). Scaleform is another middleware engine, this time it's used as a way of building in-game menus using Flash then converting them to a system that the game engine understands. http://www.scaleform.com/gamesusing It comes as part of UDK too. If anyone is interested I can probably do a run-down of the various tech, engines n middleware used in games at some point.
  22. http://www.instructables.com/id/Clap-Off-Bra/ (And don't worry, it's pretty SFW. Instructables really don't like NSFW stuff. Most of it looks like this: Pretty non-NSFW
  23. Ah this is what became of Agito. I'd maybe be interested if it wasn't like Crisis Core.
  24. Beta is 6 weeks ahead. This is the Dev/Canary build. Which is 12 week ahead. That shot is from Canary, and I use Beta as my main build. It's pretty damn stable n you get a few features early as a benefit. I highly recommend it.
