So The Bucket List was on tele last night so I watched it again. Still a good film. Was inspired to make this just at the time no access to forum so here we are now. Now if you've seen the film (if not, do. It's really good) you'll know a bucket list is a list of things to do before you die. I thought it'd be fun (or morbid, depends on your perspective) to knock a thread up for it. So yeah just a list of say 10 or so things that you'd want to do before you die. Maybe as realistic, out there, or vague as you like. (e.g film has; laugh til you cry, go skydiving, and witness something majestic) Run my own business/invest in a start up. Go into space (preferably another planet) Complete my backlog Leave a lasting mark Own a Jaguar E-type Get my vision corrected Die on my own terms in the UK (aka not in Switzerland, if you know what I mean ) I'll probably expand it some more. Especially if some of you guys have some cool ones to steal. (oh yeah, dupes are a fine, not like stuff needs to be unique)

Stiger just got an android so I intro'd him to a few nice Apps. One was Pulse. A really shiny RSS reader. I really recommend it, quite a pinnacle of apps in general. Oh yeah it's multi-platform and has Google Reader support, so it can use those feeds. Doesn't interfere with Google Reader though which I found nice, so it doesn't count them as read if I load em up in Pulse so I can go back to them in full when I'm on a PC.

It's pretty pointless and should maybe go in a "Fucking IGN" thread. Now anyone with a bit of inkling on what goes in PC's and what goes in consoles is quite a bit different. Main one being that consoles use PowerPC and PC's use X86, second being the OS, Windows concentrates on much more than just games. Apart from HDD's pretty much nothing in a Console is the same kind of kit as in a PC. So yeah they made a PC based on the specs they think the Wii 2 will have. Then proceeded to use this as a basis of how much a Wii 2 could cost, and what games it could run. They fact they branded all the components in their shopping list suggests it's a bit more than just a Wii 2 article. So yeah the Wii 2 will have 8X AA, full HD playback. They even posted iamges as: Instead of 360 on left, PC on the right. Also completely failed to take into account that many PC games aren't much heavy lifters because they're pretty much almost at max on the console. PC can breeze through most console games. Also calling it "The Wii 2" completely forgets that Nintendo have never done a sequel device. New name everytime. Closest being NES - SNES n DS n 3DS. Sony are the 123 guys.

There's an update up. It's to prep the PS3's for rejoining the PSN network. You'll need to manually update, it's at the top of the Settings column on XMB. New films are by new people with new cast though. Seems new direction and feel too.

So is Neilhimself going to be doing anymore episodes of Doctor Who in the future. That one had some pretty great moments, really wrapped up some canon neatly and greatly. And was all around pretty nice except for the Ood dying Also we want to start a tally up on how many times Rory dies. He's "died" 3 times this series already. We're only 4 episodes in and one was a two parter.

Quick question: Anyone currently bitching on the results maybe link folks in to vote on it? I did. It helped push some of the older games up, their attempt at moving Halo down.

I played my housemates copy of Warhawk just 1 vs 1 with my sister for a while. Was fun. I'd definitely be up for having a shot at Starhawk in the future. iirc Warhawk was on dedi's too which is always an awesome thing to have.

I first plated it on a mates copy. Saw it today for £5, so picked it up. Hell yeah CEX Exchange.

Well supposedly the game has great controller support, so it seems they've had the console version in mind for a while. As for the DLc: With the way the first Witcher worked out, and they way Witcher 2 is shaping up and how it's getting released I just kind of assumed it'd be the old fashioned free DLC stuff. CD Projekt are in some kind of time bublle, unaffected by anything else going on in the market n just operating as if it's the 90's early 00s.

They got a patch to Playstation players without PSN. Hmm. I wonder how they did that? PSN isn't tied to the patching system. All games have been patching fine without PSN. PSN is just used for trophies/PS Store/messaging. Don't need someone to login to know what game they have and if it's outdated.

This is adorf. Also update on Pagedanced. I've got a basic hospital built. Military is still zippo. I've not found iron still, but I did find silver. So yeah my guys are gonna have some very fancy equipment. I've expanded my farm a fair bit, had it slow down for a while due to lack of potash, but managed to make an ashery. I've got so many gems I've built their own stockpile room. It rivals the size of my ore room (though I will need to expand my ore room soon) Speaking of ore, I have got Zinc. Zinc coming out my ears. I can't make weapons of it, but I can make pretty much anything else. Also my dwarves fucking looove my dining room. Always hosting parties there. I can't find the masterpieces though. Butchering and fishing I need to figure out. I feel my animals are kinda doing nothing, I want to figure out how to milk them, breed them etc. Oh yeah Linklonk was possessed, made a grate. It menaces with spikes of buaxite and chert. It has an image of a feather tree in schist. My clothier is in a fey mood moment, he went to his bedroom though which I feel is a bad sign. Also I made it to year 2 Also for anyone who went "whut?" during reading any of that: 5 days ago I had never played Dwarf Fortress. It's not as hard to pick up once you kinda realise how it plays. The main issue is just having to go back n forth with the wiki to find out new things you can do. Also wrestling with Dwarf Therapist. edit: oh yeah an update on people: metalcaveman is married to Notch and has a daughter. Neostarr n Malicious are legendary miners. Malicious has a grudge with Mason. MrGoh has a lover, one of the farmers. edit2: Metalcaveman n Notch also have a Son. edit3: as suspected I have an insane clothier.

Aye go on. A masonry dwarf is possible. My main advice for starting out is don't be afraid to hit k n check on any items you're unsure of and use the Wiki extensively to check stuff out*. There's no story elements so nothing to spoil in checking the wiki, it's pretty much required.
