  1. Got locked out my room earlier (thankfully landlord was still available) and my first thought was to how I'd always wanted to take up lock picking and how useful it'd be at this moment. So did some search around, this is meant to be the better beginners kit. And from what I understand you can mill your own as you get used to what you like (and handily my dad has access to a laser mill). So yeah, that's something to do over summer. Could be a pretty useful, or at least unique, skill to have. Alongside the computer stuff. DIY would maybe be more useful, but tbh I can't be arsed and it seems my brother might fill that niche. And since my housemates love to use it on more than their PCs I've also got a new can of air. This time a much cheaper brand.
  2. Okay first of all: don't dismiss folks by saying they just don't "understand". Second: There is people?

    Help!

Log out, log back in again, make sure not to tick the "be anonymous" button.
  4. Well first of all let me throw you from the ISS, then we'll work on getting you that ship.
  5. http://www.minecraft.../store/loot.jsp I think someone is taking the piss out of Valve edit: don't spend too much if you have epilepsy.
  6. They have a huge billboard up of it on the high street, so I assume it's coming out here soon. Might watch. Heard good things. Though I'm not a huge zombie fan.

    Trade Shows

http://www.vg247.com/2011/03/31/publishers-complaining-gamefest-being-so-close-to-euroexpo-will-kill-show-budgets/ Forgot to update the OP on this. But yeah, I can see the GAME one being quite dead. EG have the semi-guaranteed audience. And most devs now seem to be hating on GAME for their choice of date.
  8. That's if it's local co-op multi. That's not been mentioned either.
  9. Don't know. I emailed them a while back on it and got no response. Might be EA that needs asking. Though Valve do control Steam so. Yeah it needs explaining I think.
  10. Or the alternative: will make use of your high specs if you have them. DICE won't shoot themselves in the foot. But if they can make it run on high end kit n look great, then that'd be pretty sweet.

The animation, and the way the HUD moves around you is pretty fucking amazing. And yeah if it's a reasonable price and we can get some guys together I'm totally up for it.
  12. Well yeah. This isn't some service where there's only one store supplying the apps dictated by some arbitrary policy. That would be stupid. Wonder if Amazon store will get it. (shame we have yet to get that)
  13. You guy's really have even the slightest doubt that I was serious?

    Steam

I have kinda tried doing that here/steam group. Don't always not what games folks are getting though. And can be shady with paypalness n such. And apparently Impulse get the price conversions down to pat. Also they're saying how conversions change has gone from 60cents to a straight dollar. That's over a period of 3 years. They just need to balance the prices like every 6 months and I think folks would be happy. Not keep the same conversion from 3 years ago when the first enabled local currency. And it's not just a currency conversion thing. The digital games will quite often come out more than the physical version. And that's down right shady. And sod publishers setting the prices. Publishers say an RRP. The stores are up to them on following it or not. Tesco clearly doesn't give a shit, why does Valve have to release at RRP? Oh want to know a bonus? Largest chunk of pc gamers is in Europe (with Germany being the home of PC gamers pretty much) so slightly higher European prices means vast returns on their end.
  15. Oblivion had hands down the best voice actors in any game. They were so good even Patrick Stewart couldn't compete n was only able to do a few lines before bethseda wrote his character out of the game to avoid his attempts dragging down the rest of the game. The vocal range was amazing too. The way between conversation options Old_Woman_7c could go from a croaking hag to a high class duchess type voice was frankly amazing. For all Nolan north get's praise he could only do the one voice throughout Uncharted.

RTFA It's not exactly meant for us. Certainly not main PCs. Maybe uber-stylist phones. But you'll probably see it in like store displays. Say a 3DS on display, behind one of these screens (maybe touch) displaying all the things it can do n stuff. Heck you could layer the screens up and have actual background programs or to create a multi-plane faux-3D effect.
  17. http://board.pressxordie.com/topic/80-idevice-app/ There's this thread with folks having issues with things for the iOS app.

    Steam

That's Doug Lombardi. And to that I say: Bullshit. I imagine folks who pay in € ain't happy with it either. http://www.ausgamers.com/features/read/3037280
  19. I don't think that OJ has sugar in it.
  20. Oh yeah, anyone heard of this shit with the PSX4droid getting pulled from Android Market. Mere days before Xperia Play release. Hardly a coincidence. It's pretty fucking dodgy (though I guess the emulator kinda was too). But I guess Sony are a OHA member, so do have a fair bit of sway. And potentially Xpera Play like devices and the PS Suite/PS Pocket on Android phones could really heavily tip the scales in Androids favour. (not like the scales aren't already tipped in their favour mind), so you can understand Google bending over backwards to appease them. Still it'd of been more tactful to pull it at release than days before their competing device n app comes out.
  21. http://news.bigdownload.com/2011/03/30/new-nvidia-geforce-beta-drivers-boost-dragon-age-2-pc-performanc/ Might be worth a shot for some of you?
