HDR is one of the worst artistic "techniques" ever.

  1. ITT: The last two people didn't completely read the article
  2. If you're wanting a list of sites just check: http://board.pressxordie.com/topic/24-game-news/
  3. I had it too. Till kicked ass (which makes me wonder if everyone had it)

    Trade Shows

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/11/pax-organizers-surveying-about-european-expansion/ I'd be up for it. Also amending OP with Blizzcon times.
  5. Oh, I thought you were going off the pre-release stuff Yeah the specs posted were minimum specs. (sez so)
  6. Game still supports DX11 dude Just not this pre-release. It's certainly not going to be DX9 only, that'd be the console versions. The first Crysis was DX 9 n DX10.
  7. You know I wonder if this is a purposeful leak. The inclusion of keys says no, but I guess they're not too hard to remake with a 50 day window, however they get it out early it'd quell any fears of what system it runs on etc. Or for the more glass half full empty, they blame low PC sales on this leak blah blah, Crysis 3 becomes console only. I mean I've already seen quite the aversion to Crysis 2, myself included, over it's multi-platform status dragging it down quite a bit. But makes it easier to say it sold low cos of pirates than admit you scaled back. Still I bet you the final release it'll be 360 version as usual that hits torrents first.
  8. Supposedly a pre-gold release copy got leaked. With the entire campaign and multi....oh and the multiplayer authentication key. Hope to fuck they fix that hole up before launch or we're gonna see one hack filled game when it launches. (And no I don't mean we'll be able to use Kinect with it) http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/11/an-actual-crisis-crysis-2-leaked/ I err... may hunt it down and report back.
  9. MNC once again messed up so I'm once again playing Deus Ex. It's not bad. Also the whole 16-bit colours give it a cool look.

Killswitches, killphrases. It's all the same.

  10. An MGS fan huh? I dunno if he's still playing it (he seems to have moved onto Jade Empire) but Jalaman has been streaming MGS4 as of late, could be worth a watch for you. Also nice ending there
  11. Yeah I think the guy that ran Bunedoggle shut up shop. It was costing him quite a bit as more n more gawker commenters signed up instead of gawker just supplying one. Then poof in swept gawker n installed comment notifications. But yeah, it was pretty buggy. Either from it crashing on his end while he was away or just from Gawker revamping stuff on their end. Still for what little commenters remain seems folks are getting the word out on this place cos we're getting quite a few folks joining up. Shame we may of missed most of them in the early exodus. edit: btw http://www.observer....acebook-matters That's from the day or so of the io9 n Jalopnik redesign laucnh. Now look on Kotaku articles now. There's a shiny T and a shiny U there. I guess FB wasn't great enough on it's own .(I guess Facebook not accepting the new gawker links might be part of it )
  12. The shortlist for the main games isn't up yet, but the shortlist for the public vote is: http://www.bafta.org...10,1646,BA.html Galaxy 2, Red Dead, Hot Pursuit, Mass Effect 2, Blops, Heavy Rain, Reach, FIFA 11, Dance Central n Limbo. At least we got in one game. Shame it was a kinect title. Anyway it's a public vote so you can go here: http://www.baftagame...ards/index.html Vote on your fave game and be in for a chance to win 360, Kinect and a bunch of games.(I know, you'd of needed to have those already to vote) A glance at Twitter suggests that RDR and ME2 are the main chance for winning. However MW2 won last years, so don't hold your hopes up. Here's last years winners: http://www.bafta.org...10,1017,BA.html I'll post the results and any videos up when it's done and run a post on PXOD. about 9:30 for Miyamato getting the BAFTA fellowship. Which means I beat you all at my challenge of getting a shot of Miyamato sad (google him, he's always smiling) 18:00 for his acceptance speech. There's a fair bit of fluff on how awesome he is inbetween that.
  13. Unsure how much I put in the beta, quite a bit, but since launch I've put in 13hrs. Edit: btw I still stand by my main issue with this gaming being it's half arsed Steamworks implementation and PC port. There are apparently only ...0 servers up(there was 2 but then I refreshed). Also some steamcloud usage would be great, store my settings. All they've done is port achievements from the 360 version.
  14. I dunno they are both of the best selling games of 7th gen. I guess just not as well loved around these parts
  15. Oh Hello WTF as well. Sorry, seems I ended up on page after n missing you there
  16. I know it hasn't been out for 2.5 weeks, it's been out for nearly 2 months. How many months do you suggest I put into this initial hump, cos tbh if 2 months isn't enough then that's doesn't look so good on a game.
  17. Okay, now Manly linked that small refresher, welcome on board. Should be fun to have you.
  18. http://en.wikipedia....e_Bandai_Pippin They had a shot at it. 42,000 console sold. and a price of
  19. These specifically (btw I think I've just found out where Gawker got redesign useablity tips from. When did Flickr change to be so awkward?) Arms specifically look pretty damn bad. There's not a huge difference imo. Anyway it's the animations they tended to have issues with, so it'll be interesting to see how they've dealt with that.
  20. Well AppleTV is already out, hence me saying the price is similar. Apple TV in UK is £101, OnLive Micro Console is $99. (There's no UK device/service yet) edit: Apple TV in US is $99, the price is the exact same. Which is a bitch cos £101 is $160 (and we don't get half the stuff for it like Netflix n co)
  21. Engadget have a report that the latest beta for iOS suggests Apple TV could be getting gaming support: http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/09/apple-tv-gaming-hinted-strongly-in-ios-4-3-beta-code/ I can see it getting something OnLive-ish tbh. Apple TV is more than an OnLive Micro Console but not by too much (and with added features on top of the actual Apple TV kind) Whether it'd be iOS games, Onlive, Apples own OnLive or a bag of hot air remains to be seen. Thoughts?
  22. Actually it doesn't look too great. The environments and humans are an improvement over Oblivion, but the mob's look crap.
  23. They threw up some screens n concept art: http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/02/11/nothing-says-i-love-you-like-a-screenshot/ http://bethblog.com/index.php/2011/02/11/skyrim-concept-art/
