Coming out on 7th August. Here's a PC features list. I'll be honest game was already quite pretty so it's not got too much to polish up on. It's the same engine as Death Stranding (hence the tall necks in Death Stranding, and Kojima studios "stranding relics" in Horizon) and that is apparently pretty good at running on PCs so I'd imagine this will be the same.

Bit the bullet. Currys-PC World had a pre-order off. Bugger is I hadn't updated all my details so it'll go to my old place -
There's defo a severe change in tones in the 2000s onward. Kinda miss the old style. Newer ones are bit...much. Just need a spaceship and booming orchestral score. None of this drawing stuff or shards of glass floating around thing.

Finished this. Still of opinion it "looks slick" but otherwise was really really confusing to follow. Almost feels like there's multiple separate plots that only "converge" because the plot said "and these two people were friends". It doesn't really explain why anyone is doing what they do, what their proper connections are, why people trust people how they do, etc etc.

I thought that was in P3? -
Recently watched Parasyte on Netflix. Was an okay show, and in a vein of my favourite animes actually a one and done story. Gist is parasites of unknown origin (suggested they are earth born, like literally created by earth, and not extra terrestrial) infect human hosts, main dudes however infects his right arm rather than brain leaving them both autonomous leading to whacky hijinks. It's a show that's not shy on killing off characters too. If you're looking for a show that's half-decent and finishes in just 24 episodes then here's a show for you. I'd say my only issue is the timeline isn't very clear except that one character gets pregnant. It might be over the span of a year maybe? Now watching B: The Beginning. Which so far looks slick but I'm only 4 episodes in so no opinion formed so far. Interesting it shows you who "Killer B" is almost right way (especially considering they transform so the show could have kept it elusive) Did start on Beastars but it barely held me halfway through an episode.

I think I have 1 and 2 from various bundles and such and really need to play them at some point.

Dude looks like Ardyn.

So this only took 4 years to come out Like Trumps first full term is almost up, and also an actual plague has riddled the earth.

So confusion abounds on the release of this but it seems for the most part it will be a spin-off release much like InFamous: First Light, Far Cry:Blood Dragon/Primal/New Dawn. Which is kind of neat, but wish Sony had been a bit clearer on its positioning.

Always down for more Horizon. Currently on a replay, including with Frozen Wilds which I bought ages ago and never got around to (I'm really bad with DLC/expansions like that) Certainly a lot tougher than the main game, but some neat additions. Also a friend is playing through for his first time and it's been a fun thing to chat about during lockdown. He's rather enjoying it (as some in Discord will have seen :P) Also this comparison is too easy to make: Speculation so far is

My dad is way behind on his consoles but he's always had a soft spot for Gran Tursimo. Used to have the wheels n everything back in the day (so fun to play other games with :P)

Felt like I didn't do too bad. So HZD2 doesn't seem like it'll be launch (there's no release date on it; even a "Holiday 2020"). The "Forbidden West" made so much sense too, I'd heard it bandied about in the past as a potential subtitle (it does get mentioned a few times and come to think of it I think that's where Aloy does say she's going at the end of the game). Not super sure if Astrobot is a VR game or not. Like the previous Astrobot games have been, but tbh it didn't seem very VR-ey. So not sure if that completely counts. Shame no Motorstorm, did kinda like that game. In fact there wasn't really much for racing games aside from Gran Turismo.

PS5 console. It'll go flat too.

I'm not sure they're a particular leader that'd want to stick their neck out against the police. Pretty sure I heard of some guy who did that for civil rights n he got shot. From seeing folks post city budgets with police getting exorbitant amount of money it seems clear to me the "defund police" is to massively reduce the spending. Especially to focus it on other places of society. US cops have access to military grade equipment; that shouldn't really be in the budget. In fact the budgeting should be under heavy scrutiny too. Not really super sure on the US situation (apart from having regular police and sheriffs) but a community panel would imo make sense. With strict diversity* guidelines too (though no doubt that'd be buggered with gerrymandering). America is the country that tore off the shackles of being a colony to an empire to come up with the government system it has now, I'm sure "changing the police force for the better" is quite a bit smaller scale goal. A police constitution maybe. It's clear police are a thing to have, but it's also clear the current system is rotten and designed to work against the majority of people. Also not every crime requires people to go in guns blazing. And not every time someone wants police it's for a crime but they're just needing some help. *I did do a search for "NYPD Equality Report" and just got a page that was making statements like "The NYPD is the most diverse police department in the country" but no actual equality and diversity reporting: NYPD (multi-billion budget, covers millions of people) - https://www1.nyc.gov/site/nypd/bureaus/administrative/equity-inclusion.page Durham Constabulary (not a bloody clue on budget but not billions, covers half a million) - https://www.durham.police.uk/About-Us/Pages/Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.aspx Which reading the report shows there's a less representation in the local police of ethnic minorities than in the community. For NYPD I wouldn't have a clue, which considering they're a public agency should be disconcerting. Though given other day there was a reddit thread that led to people explaining equality forms to Americans is hardly surprising.

So adding/revising a few guesstimations: Half-Life: Alyx for PS5 VR. I kinda figure making it just for Valve index is a bit limited, and Sony and Valve have worked together in the past. Xbox Sex going to have some kind of VR implementation. MS on Windows have hedged their bets on "mixed reality" on Windows which is a bit cheaper than full blown VR so might be to use that. Like not sure it'll be announced right away per se but it'll have some kind of expansion port support for it, like a display port addition on the back or spare USB port (or bespoke port; like what the PS4 has). I think we'll get a new Astrobot game. I think they did well enough with that and it's sort of become a bit of a mascot to PSVR. Maybe (though it's in Ubisofts court...I think) a new Star Trek VR game. Discovery and Picard (plus all the other stuff coming up) will have amped it up somewhat. Polyphony Digital have made all of one Gran Tursimo game for PS4, and it was slammed for being slow. The SSD thing on PS5 is meant to be quite a selling point so I think they might do a new Gran Turismo with a thing being of almost immediately jumping into the games. I'd like to see a new Motorstorm, but kind of feel that with that studio disbanded it'll be unlikely unless Sony had secretly formed a new studio. Xbox Sex will be included in the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, but it will take 7 years for people to notice it amongst everything else included.

Agent A Got this ages ago, either super cheap or free on Android (heck even "super cheap" is free with the Rewards credit I get). It was okay in the visuals department, but honestly on the puzzle front it kind of sucked. A lot of the "puzzles" were collecting things and in some cases those could be like a tile hidden behind a rock that you're able to easily miss. And many were number based that weren't much of a puzzle just having to remember a long-string number. So in one case you had to order a hacking drive off a spy catalogue, so you had to remember the phone number for the company, and the agents account code (which iirc was 12 digits). And the phone, phone number, and account number were all in three separate areas. And it's randomised, so you can't check a guide to remember the number you've got to record it in some way (I ended up taking screenshots n switching between apps, no idea what you'd do on a Switch). Some puzzles were number substitution so not only did you have to remember the symbols, but then convert them to numbers (which in some cases are double digit; just to add extra stupid layer of complexity), but then remember the numbers to take back to the input. But yeah, remembering a 10-digit code from one area to a completely different area isn't really a "puzzle". That's just "remembering someones phone number" and I'm on a phone that does that for me.

Yeah I'd heard it. It's err...a bit bollocks/retroactive but a neat hand wave for why you are somewhat bullet dodging. But guess works a bit like Brett

Yeah I'm seeing a lot of chatter on the Horizon Zero Dawn front. HZD was already quite pretty, so can only go up from there. Plus Killzone Shadowfall was a PS4 launch title, so I think Sony and Guerilla are kinda happy with that arrangement (heck I think was a Killzone game also a launch for PS3...and maybe also one for Vita too). Horizon is one of their best selling games. I think it'll be "Horizon: Something Else" mind rather than "Horizon: Zero Dawn 2", just cos the first game is sort of subtitled. Like "Horizon: Gaia Prime" or something. Also we already know they're working on it; a lot of the chatter is the various hires they've been taking on. Watch_Dogs Legion has pretty much vanished completely and I don't know if it's maybe being reworked or something to be a bit less...current-affairs-ey. Mass Effect - reckon we'll see a remaster series or something. Maybe announced for current n next gen (also we on like Gen 10 now?) PS5 will be a free Epic store exclusive.

The dude is insane at this point. Seeing the actions implemented to get a fucking photo op with a bible (which he clearly doesn't read). You've got police shooting at and attacking the press. From an outside perspective it looks like an actual warzone. The level of police brutality is immense, and insane when it's a response to protests against police brutality. Seeing photos of rubber bullet wounds has made me realise I'd assumed it was like a step up from being shot with paintballs; some bruising but that's about it. Nope, it's closer to a slight step down from actual bullets. Especially when police are aiming head shots which can maim, blind and kill. I don't know where it goes from here. Like either Trump does get his wish of waging armed war against America and protests are basically put down with "shock and awe", or it hopefully escalates to the point the police are fucked over and there's major reform on police tactics, training, and response. Unfortunately of the two I feel the former might be the more likely.
