  1. Yep, that's right. Lightning Greaves would be OP otherwise.
  2. If I have equipment that imparts Shroud, can I counter spells that target creatures by re-equipping it to the targeted creature?
  3. Stopped that one after episode one. Didn't snag me enough when I have so much to catch up on. And yes: terribly delicious. A few months with Kirino and she tugs you into her bedroom, all carmine-flushed and anxious. Tells you she has to show you something. Collection comes out. You accept her, of course; making her indebted to the person who accepted her(not really) heinous hobby. You say you're okay with it because she's special, that you won't condemn her like everyone else would. Slave obtained. Edit: Finally got around to catching up with The World God Only Knows. It got trite after a while. :\ Still hanging on, though.
  4. He's thinking of all the things he'll do to his sister.
  5. Because I wanted to keep them. Did you sell the STDs lingering on your fiery brand right after sticking it in some lass' gooey honey pot? No, you held onto them. It doesn't matter if they were useless, given you're immune to disease. Friggin' momentos.
  6. Once I read a book, I'd usually store it at the barkeep. You guys should get to downloading that new mod, by the way.
  7. I used potions fairly often. Many of them are near requisite. I never had any trouble with inventory management, though.
  8. I'm left-handed, by the way. I just got accustomed to a right-handed setup.
  9. I thought it was OreImo, but I wanted to be certain. So you're watching the web animations, then? I absolutely loved that one. Too much, I think. Too much. <:
  10. It depends on your build/game approach, really. When it comes to signs, I mean. Keyboards really aren't set up for lefties very well, are they? Wrt gaming. I really didn't use any of the extra weapons because they were, as you said, nearly friggin' useless. That was my real qualm with the items.
  11. Summon elemental x 25 > Arena.
  12. What is Oreino? I haven't heard of that one. I really need to catch up on The World God Only Knows so that I can start watching season two. I'm starting to get backed up with all of the writing I've been doing. Also have episodes of Shinryaku! and Arakawa waiting to be finished. |:
  13. Sorry. By itself it'd be silly and backwards. As an additional feature, it's great. Better to add more options than limit them.
  14. Panties in a bunch because I'm discussing it? I didn't say anything about CD PROJEKT BETRAYING THE PC GAMAZ. I just think it's silly and backwards. You can use one button for styles. Extra weapons are(unfortunately) superfluous in The Witcher, besides the axe in the first chapter or so(not to disregard the input). Journals/menus/etc. are all non-combat functions. Adds up to a few buttons, really. If you can't remember them, that's fine — fine, not bad.
  15. Yes, I watched the video and talked with Kovach about how the guy continually said "DEVIL UP". I must have forgotten the auto-pausing. That's a plus. Yet pausing wouldn't be necessary with keyboard buttons. I didn't need to use the function in the first game(on the hardest difficulty) and, let me tell you, I suck at thinking on the spot. Except MMO PvP... which may be the reason why. I don't even play RTS games, though. Only turn-based strats. Anything to the "5TGB" line is easily accessible to anyone who plays the game with any regularity. The keys "6YHN" and beyond are generally reserved for less frequently used functions. If you don't play the game with enough regularity, then I can understand having the wheel as an auxiliary feature. Though The Witcher isn't exactly a labyrinth of input. Not really assuming, just worrying.
  16. Keys are quicker, and more importantly, they don't interfere with mouse functionality. If you're in the middle of a frantic foray, pirouetting around and shit, you're using your mouse to adjust your camera and attack. So its functions would interfere with using the mouse wheel, if only briefly, when it could have been bound like it was in The Witcher. Keystrokes are friendlier with WASD movement. It(obviously) doesn't bother me enough to prevent me from buying the game. Just a tiny niggle.
  17. After watching the most recent developer diary covering gameplay, I was slightly aggrieved. If a game ostensibly — because we all know how aboveboard PR reps and marketing swine can be — is being developed with PC as a priority, why the fuck would you put in a wheel? There's nothing intuitive about weapon wheels when you don't have a limited control scheme. It's just used as a workaround for gamepads. I know the game does have gamepad support, and that's probably the justification. I just hope there is an alternative to the cursed torture wheel. Edit: Also, just tried to register my Witcher Enhanced Edition on Steam. No luck. >: Oh well, it was worth a try. Went out to pay off the CE for 2 today.
  18. And a Curse and Love and Betrayal just released.
  19. I didn't like that sneaking around meant zilch when dealing with monsters, and the whole concept of the "Dark Ones" wasn't really explained. I can understand maintaining a scope of mysteriousness because people find that enticing. Still, I wanted to know more. Wrt gameplay, another thing that bothered me was the "waves". And the "escort" mission. God, I despise children. Typically, I stray from anything even moderately scary in the slightest form, but Metro 2033 kept me involved enough to want to persevere. Much more than slop like Halo or Call of Duty SP. Of course, all of this is subjective. THIS IS HOW WE ROLL!
  20. Eh, better than most of the first-person garbage released this generation.
  21. Add Metro 2033 to the list. I'm glad I waited until it was five dollars to pick it up. Short games are short.
  22. Clamp is, by far, my favorite studio. Mostly because of Chobits and xxxHolic, but their other series are neat, too.
  23. Replaced Morrowind with The Witcher on my list. I don't know why that wasn't on there.
