I did the same thing with NieR. One achievement away from a platinum, and fuck that.

Complaint: carry weight. They obviously weren't going for anything realistic, so why include crafting materials when you're going to be lugging around enough to fill a fucking warehouse? Also: Ekimmara Decoction is really flippin' effective.

It's entirely possible, though I think they'll probably move on to Cyberpunk 2077 (if that's still on the table). And yeah. Sailing is great for what little it is.

I forgot to mention that they way they have you using potions is really unintuitive. Only two slots, so you have to go to the inventory and swap them out, leave the inventory, use a potion, go back to the inventory, etc., etc. @IDDQD: It looks fine to me. I didn't watch any of the gameplay videos, but what I'm seeing looks great.

GeForce Experience has most of my stuff on high or ultra, and it looks grand, especially, as mentioned already, the wiiiiiiiiind. @Kenshi: Concerning alternate signs: I still can't figure them out. I did figure out that you hold down the button to use the alternate mode, but that doesn't always work. And there's no indication of why it's not working. For example: I'm trying to cast Axii's alternate mode, which will channel instead of casting instantly and turn a foe into a temporary, buffed ally. Often, it'll just do its instant cast and that's that. I quickly grew sick of those loading screens. It sucks when you're doing multiple loads because you're fighting a difficult boss and it just keeps droning on and on and on and on.

Took some doing, but I fought those drowners, too. Helps if explosive barrels are nearby. Had the same results with a wraith. You just have to be extra careful. I'm mainly having trouble trying to get counters off, especially on drowners. Also, knocking people off cliffs. Trouble there, too. I agree when it comes to the Witcher Sense, Dean. Wish it'd just pulse or something. Everything else is good thus far. Playing on normal difficulty.

All of the battles were drawn out, and hardly required any actual strategy. Load times were terrible, too (maybe that won't be a factor on PC). The story was pretty bottom of the bucket stuff. Really, the only redeeming aspect I can think of is the whole progeny system (I don't remember what they actually called it). At the end of each sequence you choose a wife. You mate. You have a child. Your child inherits his abilities and appearance from his parents. The US version is a supposedly bit better due to a better translation, but I can't really vouch for it there. Ghostlight didn't do it any favors in that department. More than anything, it's that it was one of those SRPGs that only appeared to be an SRPG. In execution, you just had the grid and followed the movements.

@FLD: Agarest sucks. I imported it from EU back before it was released in the US, and it was just . . . ugh. Maybe you can find something in it to enjoy, but as far as I'm concerned it was one of the worst if not the worst SRPG I've ever played. On a brighter note, I own Pier Solar for the same reason you bought it. Just haven't gotten around to it. Let me know how it is! @Jack: I just hope all the fuss over the game isn't because of the lewd attention it's attracted.

You only have 13 days! DO SOMETHING QUICKLY! I say move on. Don't force it on yourself. Maybe you can come back and appreciate at least the story and characters more after getting into The Witcher 2 if you can manage that.
