GTAV. Online multiplayer is fucking irritating (the way it's structured, I mean). The game is beautiful, though. Damn near photo-realistic.

GTA Online pisses me off. So many troubles, which it answers by kicking me to offline mode. So much loading. And it keeps telling me I need to do the tutorial to invite people without telling me how to do the damn tutorial. (I'm level 13 and have been playing for hours.)

That's the one.

Reminds me of that old Star Wars game from the 90's, HH. Gave me the same feeling.

Yeah, I'm on PC. I don't think I'll be playing it tonight (mainly because I'd rather get some experience in the game before jumping into online), but I'll see. Will you be on over the weekend? Edit: Looks like I need to finish the prologue before I can play online anyway.

I don't know. I just feel like I never belonged to the right coven or something, 'cause that was hardly ever the case with me. I guess I just sucked. And I agree about it not being exaggerated or wrong if you're going by opinion. Just stating mine. BESIDES YOU CAN'T APPRECIATE MY 2D WAIFUS!

I don't think that it's a certified good design choice just because you can conjure up some justification. And 45 seconds? Man. Maybe if you're pro. There's also the issue that, yeah, it may make you think more, but when you're dying almost instantly there isn't much experience to be gleaned. Just sort of: Oh, ho! I'm dead! Time to run back again! Some bosses are more forgiving than others in that respect, though. Don't mean to say the game is bad, or people are bad for liking it how it is, but I do think people really go out of their way to make things like seem much more clever than they actually are (if at all).

FLD: Well, it was certainly more difficult for me. Much less forgiving, too. Seemed that way anyway. I don't know if it had anything to do with Rogue Legacy having tighter controls or being less murky or whatever. Amusing what you mention about dex, though: I invested heavily in dex and discovered I'd wasted it. I guess I didn't know how to use it properly or something. But I couldn't do much damage, and there were the points (bosses notwithstanding) where not fighting monsters proved damn near impossible. I've heard Dark Souls improves on some of my issues. With the addition bonfires, for example, which is why I've been meaning to at least give it a try. So you're probably right there. At least to a point.

By backtracking I meant going back for souls, or the run back to bosses. You call it simpler, I call it easier. And while you may not need to farm, you certainly need to if you want to have healing items post boss fight (win or lose). Or maybe that's another one of those obtuse things. This is, of course, speaking from the perspective of someone who isn't on their fifth new game plus and knows all the proper strategies. Ethan: Doesn't address all of my issues with the game, but it's a good start. I actually was planning on playing Dark Souls recently. Got my controller set up and everything. But with The Witcher 3 coming so soon I decided against it.

Rogue Legacy was much more forgiving, though. Especially when it comes to backtracking and obtuseness. And farming. Edit: Than Demon's. Haven't touched Dark.

It takes some getting used to, but I think Metafalica's is the best of the three (or four depending how you look at it). Liked the rhythm bit.

Not sure what my roommate had, but it suited me out of the box. Also had some holes that I never used for speakers or something? Too big for anything naughty.

Parts of that thing are better than my friggin' desktop.

Not by a wide margin, though. I think it'll take a widespread Google Fiber presence to really push the big cable companies to improve what they have. Seems to be the only thing that motivates them to do so.
