  1. Sold For Honor and bought NieR: Automata for $7 difference. Thanks, GMG.

  2. Yeah, that game was god awful in every way but Trico. And even Trico was irritating oftentimes.
  3. I dunno. I have a hard time believing that, Ethan. Open world is incredibly difficult to do well, and multitudes more difficult to do while doing anything else well. I can count on one hand the number of games that have accomplished that as far as I'm concerned. But as someone who really enjoyed Zelda until Wii done goofed, I'm happy to be proved wrong when I do get around it. Just doesn't instill confidence.
  4. Haven't played the game yet, but I agree with what FMW said as an idea. Also, everything I see about Zelda is "wow this is open world crap from 2005 but Zelda".
  5. Yeah, the more I hear, the more I want to play it. So many convention expenses this month, though. And a trip to Italy next month. : \ Trying to avoid spoilers is difficult, though.
  6. Now you know how we felt about the first NieR, FLD.

  8. Finally got around to watching the film, and it was disappointing. Seemed like they rushed into him being a magical genius.
  9. That actually looks like fun. I just want an entire dungeon of Zelda golf now.

  11. I was sort of wary due to the PC problems. I may end up getting it on PS4 anyway. With Prime I can get it for 20% off. Good to hear it plays like an action RPG. Wasn't sure what to make of the whole Platinum involvement.
  12. Going to name my PC Jay and romance Peebee.
  13. Wait, I thought you'd already finished this?
  14. The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Strangely, I've finished three games this year. That's . . . quite a lot for two months. For me anyway. Blood and Wine's Toussaint is far and above the best region I've visited in the Witcher series. Love the colorful Rococo it has going. And it feels like a proper expac. Too bad it's the end of things. I had some trouble with the Skellige deck at first because I approached it wrong, but after I figured how to get the base deck all was tickety-boo. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Maybe not as much as the vanilla game simply because of the nature of the stories involved, but it had at least one returning character from the books who wasn't in the previous games. And some great characters and scenes of its own. Altogether great. Now I need to get the 5 achievements I'm missing, which involves replaying the core game on the hardest difficulty.
  15. Yeah, not a fan of those games either. Probably will end up waiting on a sale, too. Even though I think I may want to play it on PS4 . . . maybe. Whichever comes first I guess.
  16. I probably wouldn't bother with it if it were just a Platinum game and not NieR.
  17. Drakengard was pretty bad, though. It's probably best if we just pretend NieR is its own thing.
  18. "All the fishing and drop farming." What? I guess if you wanted a platinum, then yeah.
