What are you currently playing?
Saturnine Tenshi replied to Cyber Rat's topic in General Gaming Chat
Deus Ex: Human Revolution. It was my Secret Santa gift from excel_excel. I've only played about ten hours so far, and I'm undecided on what I think of the game. At this point it seems very repetitive. -
Picked it up when it was part of a bundle and only got around to seriously playing it in December. That was before the achievement, but I did get much farther when the achievement spurred me too (incidentally, many times farther than I ever had in sitting down once to get the achievement). Anyway, I think it's neat. The game is deeper than I expected: never knew there were so many types of upgrades to find/unlock. Still not too keen on the visual style. It's not that it offends me; it's just cloying. We get it, alright. You want to be nasty and offensive.

He's back-pedaling so hard right now. May as well be moon-walking. Welcome to the forums and website, Allan. You're going to be outcast here until you man up and get a PC.

The whole being a 360 game promises that. Edit: Oh, and Newegg.com not shipping to Canada. Newegg.ca has none of the deals of .com.

Tragedy! Oh, foul tragedy! Woe and fie! NieR, ambassador to beautiful bombastic beats, has not been mentioned. Worse, it has missed the PXOD article. And there was a very valid loophole that I'm cursing myself for forgetting. To be honest, it wasn't the best arrangement, but it was a god damn loophole. A puncture in time overlooked. A-a— http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9F4rGxr9w4 Shame on all of us.

I actually do that in real life. Not that I'm unaware, but I'll be preoccupied while driving (safe, right) or walking and somehow end up at my destination. -

She seemed normal to me. Certainly wouldn't have been my approach. But she seemed to enter with the right amount of apprehension toward, well, everything. You don't suddenly flip a switch to turn off your morality/code of conduct. It takes experience, triggers, something out-of-the-ordinary to either shatter or work at the tenets you've learned to value. Sure, she kills. But she doesn't like it (at least not yet). -

I enjoyed Lord of the Flies, but for different reasons. I don't think it plucked the same chords. Also reminds me of "The Lottery", btw.staySICK's comment really makes me want to finish the trilogy, though. >.< -

Sounds about right, kenshi (speaking for the first book). I meant to agree with MasterDex about Battle Royale but never got around to making the post (and forgot). -

Just the first. I'll wait until my sister picks up the other two books to read them. No point in getting ahead of her anyway. -

Hunger Games was surprising. Typically, I shy away from YA novels. Not because they're poorly written or home to poor content; they just don't generally sate what I'm looking for. The general direction of the book was easily predicted, but it was also pleasing. That's the important part. Don't know what I'm starting next (Hunger Games was a loan). The White Queen and Timequake stand out in my queue. -
I think mine was to not hate Stephen Harper's smile. I've already failed.

I think 4chan's /v/ got around to it; or some ardent fans; or both. Regardless, I can really get behind the readers. Also, Strangelove may be miffed, so that is a plus. ヽ(*≧ω≦)ノ Edit: Great Game Music of 2011 headed by HH.

Finally shambled around to this one (predictably late to the big name scene). It was my first Uncharted, so it's entirely possibly I was "doing it wrong". Still, while I was captured in places by what was an almost alluring narrative in its mysteriousness, that was always interrupted by poor pacing and design. You don't throw the player into a balls-to-the-wall adrenaline fest and have them emerge from that to enter a gauntlet staggered only by a few parkour hops and spins. Pace yourselves, Naughty Dog. I wouldn't be carping if this was just one occurrence: I'm accustomed to brooking these things for the sake of the game. But hell, it seemed unrelenting in the latter half of the story.

I've had that happen a few times, madbassman. Get off the horse and he's somewhere he shouldn't be, boning someone he shouldn't be.

I meant the video you responded to. 榛名に行ってみた The kanji there. They're common, and I knew them at one point maybe 1-2 years ago. Can't recall what they are anymore. -
Doesn't help that I need Origin to play.

I won a free copy and still have yet to load the game. >.<

PXOD Gift Exchange/Secret Santa
Saturnine Tenshi replied to P4: Gritty Reboot's topic in Event Planning
I think it turned out well (and have received my gift). The pricing system is fine, too: cheap but lenient. Next year, just start closer to the 20th in order to hit the sale. -

Sis has me scouring libraries for the series (Hunger Games). Picked up some Neil Gaiman book today. Cannot remember the title. -
Saints Row 3. First game I've purchased for myself since the Steam sale began and it was from GMG.
