As Shadowplay pointed out in Steam chat, there is no pleasing those who'll complain over dress. There's "too conservative"—obviously a ruse to subjugate women as housewives, "too slutty" or "too girly". Artists should just depict women as toothless hairy slobs in rags, not the gorgeous creatures they aspire to be. Objectification is going to happen regardless. What's being asked isn't to make women less attractive, but for folk who are attracted to women to not be attracted to women: "I want to look nice, but don't look at me." Get over it and play the game.

Over-hyping NieR? My only real qualm with the battle system was the whole (asinine) restriction that you had to keep your leader alive else you lost.

Worth it for First & Second Encounter. Haven't played the others. They're old-school sometimes-corridor shooters with co-op and hyphenation.

@Mistwalker: Eh, they've remnants of Sacnoth/Nautilus, creators of a series far better than Final Fantasy in every way I care about. So I'll expect more from Mistwalker than Squeenix if choosing between the two. I think I've made my feelings for Final Fantasy after VI vivid either in this thread or elsewhere; yet I could finish previous Final Fantasy titles. XIII was just beyond me. I literally forced myself (with a grimace) to pick up the controller every time I did and tread farther into the game. Until the time arrived when I could no longer suffer the damn thing. +1 for fucking Oblivion. What difficulty were you playing on? I ask becuase the only beasts that forced me to pull out my bow were the deathlords and dragon priests (my leveled points were spent fairly evenly across all three "attributes"). I didn't go about any super enchanting like Ethan mentioned either.
