The church relies on their apolitical stance to get donations, and this move has a very good chance of reducing donations. I can't think of a better metaphor for the Republican platform than the vice presidential candidate feigning generosity while screwing less fortunate people out of nourishment.

    All due respect, Maritan, but when I hear someone blame Call of Duty's players for something they don't like about a new game, I tend to tune that person's argument out. It's an elitist, snobbish attitude and I hate that the gaming community has been divided that way lately. It feels like shifting the blame to some sort of unidentifiable mass for causing games to be made that you don't like. EDIT: I realize it isn't nice to tune someone's argument out, I just hate what the term usually alludes to and it makes me more focused on being annoyed by the generalization than the actual argument or opinion.

    Green Man Gaming is a godsend. Got XCOM for $45, which gave me a $10 credit, then used it with a 25% unlimited voucher to get Dishonored for $34.

      I'm thinking I'll use it to either pick up Gods and Kings or Dishonored if it goes on sale. Not too worried about using this 25% voucher, I'm sure there'll be another one next week.

      If a steam game has preorder bonuses but you buy it through Green Man, do you get a steam code that still qualifies for the bonuses?

      That varies from game to game. XCOM pre-orders got a key for Civ V as well as the soldier customization stuff, but not the TF2 hats (pretty sure that's always going to be Steam-exlusive).

       

      As for my pre-order of Hitman, I didn't get the Sniper Challenge mini-game.

    Yeah, Jeff Daniels did an excellent job. Sells his character very well, and creates an entertaining antagonist.
