I got finished with the Saints Row The Third storyline just a few hours ago. Good fun, I do plan to keep playing and finish off the city takeover stuff and just generally fuck around in the world. Other than that I'm working through Amalur and Fortune Summoners still..

As for your other points, yeah it's obviously not a realistic depiction of law proceedings, be it in Japan or anywhere else, but if it was realistic, it'd probably get boring real quick. Case in point: Lawyers get thrown in contempt of court if they're screaming and banging on desks and making stupid assumptions like Phoenix does indeed do, but hell that's what makes the damn game.

I was not aware of this... But like Thursday Next, I'm just going to use my phone for 3g. I'll be doing all downloading and online gaming on wi-fi anyway so it's not such a big deal for me really.

Well, you have to pay for the plan too so I'm not going to... I hear tell that if you have an iPhone (maybe other phones too?) then you can tether your 3g connection from that to the Vita.

So any mods people recommend already? Other than the obvious, awesome space core one, of course. I've not taken a proper look yet and can't imagine there's any game changers out just yet but anything neat?

The PC demo gave me some horrible problems before I turned off post-processing (not like my PC can't handle it, just the game I guess). When I did get the game working I wasn't sure if I was impressed with it or not. I really wasn't keen on the PC controls, maybe I should play with a gamepad. I want to give the demo another shot though, but right now, this isn't something I'm too excited for.

IF I get one, I'll be grabbing Uncharted, Rayman Origins and possibly UMVC 3... I dunno which digital games are out so not sure about that yet, but yeah! Edit: And possibly Katamari I guess... Gah.

To be honest I think I'd rather see the ps2 Kingdom Hearts games get glammed up than I would Final Fantasy XII, but maybe if this does well, Square will consider it.

I did like certain things about X-2. For example, the job system, that's a system I loved in the earlier Final Fantasy games. I guess XIII sort of aped it with the paradigm shift system (which is one of the few things I enjoyed about FF XIII) but eh. Other than that, I guess I liked the idea of being in Spira (is that it? I forget) again but I just felt that X ended perfectly and didn't need a continuation, the ending to X was sad and just put a nice cap on things and then along came X-2 to make all of it "better". I also just hated the fan-service. Wrong demographic, perhaps?

Personally, I really disliked XII and that'd be my last choice for a remastering... Of all the PS2 Final Fantasy's, I only really enjoyed X. X-2 had a weird, quirky charm to it but it wasn't exactly a good game, I'm not gonna count XI as it's an MMO, and XII, well... I just really didn't like it. I don't know why.

To be fair, some games become free "classics" too. Off the top of my head, you can get Beneath a Steel Sky, GTA 1 & 2 and the first Elder Scrolls for free from various places. I don't see a design like that becoming too popular in many "classic" games, but I think there's a case to be made for pirating games that aren't going to support the people who worked on it. Another query, how come Black Isle makes money on Fallout 1 but not Fallout 2?

Yes, a hundred times over. The World Ends With You is one of the first games I mention when people ask me for great games on the DS. I'd love to see them do something else with it, I don't see why they wouldn't make one at least on the 3DS, and maybe even on the Vita if it takes their fancy.

Not at all surprising that it's simply a remaster. If they were going to remake any of their games they'd be doing the really lo-fi ones first like they did with FF IV, and people weren't asking for a remake of X, they were asking (demanding?) a remake of VII. If they were gonna bother remaking ANYTHING, it'd make more sense to remake that. That being said I have no REAL desire to play Final Fantasy X again but if it comes out on the Vita and I happen to have one, then maybe.

The Kingdom Hearts issue in particular is one that strikes a nerve of mine. I was a big fan of Kingdom Hearts 1 and, to a lesser extent, 2, but all the games that have come out between it have been mediocre at their best (Birth by Sleep was okay) and awful (358/2 days was horrible). Squeenix are a real disappointment to me these days, I've not really enjoyed one of their games in a long time and I won't give them credit for publishing better games than they can make (Deus Ex: HR was beyond awesome).

Yeah generally speaking Sony has smaller studios tackle its IP's for its handhelds, and they seem to do a good job (portable God of War's were good, and from what I hear, Resistance was too). I'd say whether or not the ps3 sees another Uncharted is dependent on when The Last of Us releases and how long is left between then and a ps4, but that's just speculation really.

I'd like to think THQ still have some fight left in them. As pointed out, there're two big releases on their way, Darksiders 2 and Metro: Last Night, both of which should at least sell moderately well. They've also done very well with Saints Row: The Third. It's a shame though that no matter how well they do with Saints Row and the two upcoming games, it's all only gonna serve to heal the wounds caused by uDraw than anything else.

If it makes anyone feel better I have since organised them into director, then release.(Since Tarantino, Nolan, Boyle and Fincher take up a good 50% of the entire collection)
