I have my doubts that they'll change their policies unless things get really drastic. I mean they are STILL charging indie devs for patches and insisting that they can't self publish. Still! For a company that insists they're future proof, that is really backwards thinking. Even though at this point that policy does them more harm than good, they refuse to change it. I expect the same attitude with the restrictions. If you find something wrong with it, well, that's your problem. Not only that but they still require a subscription to use media apps like Netflix. As far as I know they are the only hardware manufacturer that does this. They're just set in their ways and because of that they're ironically going to be the ones who end up stuck in the past, rather than leading the way to the future.

Not a chance in hell they'll make games cheaper. You can buy games from lots of digital marketplaces on the pc. The Xbox One is going to have one marketplace. There's no competition.

That's pretty far fetched don't you think? All I'm saying is that if the bad guys get to have infinite ammo, I should at least be able to pluck a couple bullets off their carcasses.

My many bullet wounds say otherwise.

If I have to criticize one thing about this game it's that it rarely lets you loot ammo off of human enemies even if they never fired a shot at you. That's my only complaint so far.

My point is that informed gamers won't buy it because of the drm and the casual audience won't buy it in droves because of the price, especially when the ps4 is a lot cheaper and, as far as grandma knows, does the same thing.

I don't expect the Xbone to be much of a success until they either drop the price significantly or do away with all these restrictions.

That's what I'm thinking. I just want them to say it.

There's actual failure and there's "business" failure. I expect the Xbone to fail the way Tomb Raider failed with three million copies sold.

So far I've been able to stealth most encounters except for a handful of moments when the story forces you out in the open. I'm about five hours in. Also sometimes you're forced to kill everyone but so far I've found that you can, in theory, sneak by most encounters without having to kill anyone. I should also mention that this would be really really fucking hard to do and is probably not worth it unless you're just that hardcore.

And yet they still fail to realize that it's at least 10 years too early for them to be putting all their eggs in that basket.

Something i'm wondering about the F2P games on PS4...Are microtransactions paid for with your playstation wallet funds? Or does it count as a third party client and you have to go through some obtuse in-game marketplace and use a credit card in order to get your war bucks or whatever the fuck kind of fake-ass currency they use?
