It actually kinda baffles me that your city still seems to prefer the Xbox at this point. I mean the 360 and ps3 were mostly on even ground but now those people are literally paying more money for a weaker console with drm. It's not even close anymore. I guess they must really want the exclusives or something.

I'm starting to see people calling Playstation fans hypocrites for accepting a multiplayer paywall when they demonized Live Gold. I almost posted this in Innernet Pet Peeves but it's only been a few hours so let's just think about this for a minute. Yes, you have to pay for multi on the PS4. Yes, it's kind of disappointing. After all, multi was free on the ps3. However, this does not mean that they are ripping us off the same way Microsoft rips us off. What do you get with PS Plus? Tons of discounts in the store and free games to download every month. And these are often fairly good and recent games, too. Saint's Row 3 is coming to the service soon, and that game has only been out for about a year and a half. That might seem like a long time until you remember that they're giving it to you for free as a benefit of the service. That will still be happening with a PS4 subscription. Even without multiplayer being a part of it, it's still well worth the cost. What do you get with Live gold? Well, you get multiplayer. You also get the right to access netflix and hulu (PS4 will still do this for free). You also get a shitload of ads all over the place. Oh, and I guess now you get Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3, which came out in 2009 and 2007. Hooraaay. Even if free multiplayer is no longer an advantage of PS Plus over Live Gold, it still has plenty of other reasons to justify 50 bucks a year. They designed the service so that it really feels like it ENHANCES the playstation rather than holds it hostage.

I'll probably end up buying the camera at some point anyway but I don't need it tacked on to the price of the console right now. Sony did right by me here.

Every PS4 comes with an HDMI cable, a headset, and a 500 GB HDD. The Eye camera is sold separately.

I wouldn't be surprised if stores started trying to emphasize the ps4 over the Xbone to undecided shoppers.

You know it just occurred to me. Nintendo has no choice but to cut the Wii U price now. They cannot possibly expect to succeed when the much more powerful console of your competitor only costs 50 dollars more.

Considering how MS has been smelling its own farts ever since they announced all those horrible restrictions, something tells me they aren't as worried as they should be.

Even if Sony is charging for multi now, they're still letting you use things like Netflix for free. As far as I can tell, MS still intends to make you pay for that.

I think they were just doing it through the launch of the Xbone. Even if it's permanent, they have to give us better games than Halo 3.

I think there is paid multi now for PS4 games, which is kind of a bummer, but at least they aren't getting rid of any of the current plus benefits.
