I would be a lot more interested in the Wii U if the "tablet play" mode was more universal. It's kind of frustrating to see all this unused potential, really. I would say that it would improve over time but the Wii taught me otherwise.

Without having even seen it, I can say what really bothered me about the Lorax was the INSANE amount of promotional shit. I mean it was just capitalism at its absolute worst. Anyone remember the "Lorax approved" car? A CAR!

This isn't a trailer per se but we don't really have a "general movie discussion" thread and I didn't want to make one just for this so I'll just put it here. There is currently a rumor that New Line has optioned a Deviantart drawing for a movie. Normally I would laugh at how stupid it was but there's a part of me that has to admit that what I see in the drawing would actually be a pretty awesome concept for a film. Here it is: If it's true it could still turn out to be a complete disaster, of course, like trying to make a movie out of a board game. Still, this is one time when I would actually be hoping that it wouldn't be that way.

Oh yeah, Resident Evil 6 changed my mind for the worse, too. But that happens to me a lot more often than a demo influencing my opinion in a positive way.

This is something I've been wondering for the last day or two. Most people who are really into gaming follows news and announcements and tend to know well in advance which games they already intend to buy or not buy. But I played the Ni No Kuni demo recently, a game I thought was interesting but hadn't given much thought beyond that, and now I'm planning to pick it up. I realized that this is a pretty rare occurrence for me. Demos have almost always been just "previews" for me of games I was probably going to buy anyway, but for once a demo was actually something that changed my mind. How often does this happen to you?
