I lean to the left so maybe my opinion on this matter is biased, but I don't think the republicans have a single decent candidate this time around. I didn't vote for John McCain, but I could at least see him as a credible opponent to Barack Obama (though I think taking Sarah Palin as his running mate was a VERY stupid mistake). Really, it's like Atomsk said. In 2004 the democrats had John Kerry, but even I could see that he wasn't a very strong candidate. Now the shoe's on the other foot. I'm not against the notion of ever having a republican president again, but I am very much against the notion of having any of THESE lunatics as the president.

I saw The Muppets today and it was great. It really remembered what made them endearing in the first place rather than just using them as gimmicks to prop up lame tv specials.

I know that season 2 has at least 10 songs. Since we're on episode 8 now and we've only heard one, that means we still have at least 9 to go. No guarantee they'll all be full-length of course, but it will still be something.

As far as I know, Tintin has a much bigger following in Europe than in the states so I think what they're trying to do is establish some buzz in the franchise's region of origin before bringing it over to the states, which isn't as familiar with the brand. I can understand that and all...but damn, I wanna see it.
