  1. I'm quite impressed with mobile steam. It has everything I would have asked for.

No way to view my own library apparently. Also want to be able to remote start downloads. Very slick though.

It just came out! Patience, patience.

Yeah I'd want group chat (though I understand why it's lacking), and remote downloads. But that requires a change of the Steam client...and Windows.

  2. I admit it's an unlikely scenario, but by no means is it an impossible one.
  3. Plus, let's not forget that as of right now, Sony is not rumored to be doing anything of the sort. If Microsoft actually came out and said they were doing this, Sony could come out the next DAY and say they weren't. That would probably automatically convert a lot of people. Plus, Gamestop would completely fuck Microsoft for this. These companies may not like Gamestop, but regardless of feelings, they NEED it. They're pretty much the only widespread dedicated games retailer in North America, They're the ones who actually understand this shit. If the new Playstation can play used games and the new Xbox can't, which system do you think they're going to push on their customers?
  4. They're really not the same thing. 1) Console games cost more 2) Console games take up space 3) Distribution of console games takes place in a much more restrictive marketplace.
  5. There's an article up on Kotaku stating a rumor that the next Xbox has a "feature" that will keep it from playing used games. That means no buying used from Gamestop, no trading or reselling your games, no borrowing from friends or renting from stores, no anything except buying brand new games that will be yours forever. This hasn't been confirmed, but if it turned out to be true would you still buy the console? If you're a ps3 guy, and Sony went down this route, would you buy the next playstation? Would they be justified in doing this? Is it fair?

I'm surprised more aren't complaining you won't be able to buy cheap points cards. Personally I'm still ok with this. In North America it was shifty how they made points worth less than pennies so you'd think "Oh, that's what? Ten bucks?" But it'd turn out to be $12.50.

I think if you must have points, be like Nintendo's points when 1 cent = 1 point. Simple and no math necessary.

Except when you're in another country where you don't use cents.

  6. I hate youtube users who pad their videos with ridiculous intros saying "Such and such productions". Unless you actually made it yourself, you aren't producing shit.

    1. Eleven

... followed by a disclaimer that, in fact, the entire video is not really theirs.

But what I really hate is some people who actually DOWNLOAD your video, and upload it as their own! I had one happen with one of my own videos. Who does that? It's ridiculous!

Heh, I agree. I can understand if you're doing say a Screencast on how to do something or MAYbe even a "Let's Play" vid but that's stretching it.

  7. Moving and shooting. Good job, Capcom. It only took you seven years to figure it out. Better late than never, I guess.
  8. Oh, I'm not saying I don't understand it. I do. She was just being kind of a bitch about it, particularly during the cherry sorting and when she tries to sneak out of her promise.
  9. Maybe it's for the best that Derpy overshadowed AJ, because AJ didn't exactly come through this episode looking very good.
  10. Screw it! Applejack has next week's episode too! DERPY FUCKING TALKED!
  11. It can be hard to get someone on the fence into the show because watching the show in chronological order is probably not going to convince them unless they're really patient. The first three episodes, while they're not bad, don't do a whole lot to convey the appeal of the show outside the target demographic.
  12. It shouldn't be necessary to have to wait for a community solution, though. Unless Origin somehow plays nice with steam (HA!) then it's fucking us over once again.
  13. Look Before You Sleep is a bottle episode. I love it, but that's because I adore Twilight. Try Lesson Zero or Sweet and Elite from season 2. Or, if you want to stick with season one, try Sonic Rainboom or Fall Weather Friends.
  14. I have a concern about ME3. When I bought Dragon Age II, I originally was going to buy it digitally from EA (before Origin) because I had a good coupon from their store, but they told me that the steam version of Dragon Age: Origins could not transfer its save into the EA version of Dragon Age II. Now, for those of us who had Mass Effect 1 and/or 2 from Steam, Mass Effect 3 will have to be from Origin. Wouldn't that mean that your save won't be compatible if you bought the first two games from Steam?
  15. I'd worry more about making health care a human right first.
  16. Funny thing, though, is that the pilot episodes are usually the ones that the people who like the show are the least enthusiastic about. I mean, it's the pilot. Still, I give you credit for doing that much.

    Help!

What is the "right" way to embed youtube videos? Because it seems like when I do it sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
  18. I can't wait for the episode where Dash is hospitalized and discovers the magic of books. It's gonna get all Reading Rainbow up in this bitch.
  19. The only complaint I had about the episode was that Applejack was the only one of the mane 6 to appear, but that's a very minor complaint when the episode was so enjoyable otherwise.
  20. Pre-ordered my Vita and a 32 GB memory card (Yeah, I know, but I'm figuring cheaper downloads will make up for it in the long run). I really hope like hell this doesn't turn out to be a dud.
  21. Someone put forth the theory that since content IDs are not being used to remove pony vids, that maybe Hasbro doesn't really mind it as much as other networks might, but they have to protect their IP to both please investors and avoid losing the rights entirely, so they're issuing DMCAs to keep up appearances. Seeing that ponies are still being uploaded, it wouldn't be impossible. I think they realize that youtube has gotten them a LOT of attention, but in a very unconventional method. Of course, if that turns out to be wishful thinking I'm sure there will be alternatives. This fanbase is too big to stop the uploads entirely. Someone would find a way.
