That's one of my main gripes with the game. It's not accessible. Not by a long shot. The game doesn't even teach you how to spot! My advice is to go to Youtube and do a search for the kit you're planning on using. For example, How to play as a Medic, etc. Best thing to do in game? Help your team out. You see that little Back/Select button? Spam it like crazy when you see enemies. They spot them for your teammates. That little triangle on their heads. If you're a medic, dole out med packs every time they cool down. Even if your teammates don't need them. It's a good move for when unexpected fire fights happen. Don't rambo revive. That means reviving someone even though you know someone's shooting at them. Use the LMGs in controlled bursts. The recoil does lessen the longer you hold it but only do it when you're sure to hit something. Engineer use your rpgs, anti tank mines on tanks. If you see a tank taking a flag, hit it to distract it. Always try and hit the sides or behind the tank. It does more damage. Your repair tool can also harm enemy vehicles. Don't forget that. If you're in a tank and you see an enemy tank incoming, use your guns to take out their engineer if they go out. If not, after your tank takes damage, step out repair it and fire off an rpg at the enemy tank before stepping back in. That should help loads. Also remember UAVs can be repaired. Assault just give ammo to your engineers. Give ammo to everybody. If you see a house that you suspect are housing enemies, noob tube the windows, walls, etc. to flush them out. Just give ammo out. A lot of Assault guys seem to forget this. Recon...Best advice is to not be a sniper 100 miles away from the objective and padding your K/D. If you do want to be a recon, spam your motion mines intelligently. Throw it near M-coms, flags. Take out tanks with yout C4. Use mortar strikes to take out M-Coms. Most of all, SPOT! SPOT tanks, choppers, etc. SPOT every thing! It will net you points/exp and you're helping the team out. That alone should make you a better BC2 player than 50 percent of the players out their right now.

Haha! Yeah. I get my fair share of ribbing when it comes to that. I kinda want to share my daughter's name but don't even want to think what you guys will do with it. Oh, and when you do visit the site, tell me what you think! Mostly about me as I don't have any control on what they post. Haha! I'm still learning the ropes. Their criteria is way higher than the normal blog I'm used to. Both a good thing and a bad thing. Good for readers, bad for writers.

Denton's recent statement reads like he's unwavering, but has the communities best interest. In reality, I doubt he gives a crap. I mean have you read the comments in Kotaku, Giz, etc? A TON of people left. I'm guessing Denton misses the community he deems that are holding the sites back. What's the matter, rich boy? 60% drop in hits a little too much? In all honesty, I think Denton thought too much of the Gawker network. I don't think they'd anticipated that the exodus would be this significant. Tried the new system. Replies are still a bit broken. Still can't follow anyone, and unless I'm mistaken, you can't still can't send PMs either. All those clicks going away...And for what? Bigger ads that rape my monitor? Oh, Denton you so funny.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meal,_Ready-to-Eat America's finest. Haha! I guess we'll just continue calling this ME then. Or that faith game or something.

I honestly am very excited for Brink. They seem to be implementing a couple of new things that might revolutionize the FPS genre. If not, as long as it's fun. From customization, drop-in drop-out MP, SMART...The game seems to be doing a ton of things right. I just hope they can pull it off. I honestly am thinking of not getting Homefront, Crysis 2 just for this game. Oh, and the recent hands-on that's out right now have been very positive so far. This and BF3? Me = FPS games set.

Ok. Here it is! My first two posts! It went live exactly when I was sleeping! It was supposed to be three but one get deleted. Ah, well, can't win 'em all. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/84328/live-action-killzone-movie-watch-it-now/ I posted this the moment it became available. Shame it had to get approved and it stewed in news purgatory for more than 10 hours before it got posted. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/84349/flashback-creator-reveals-new-playstation-3-exclusive/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+gamrfeed+%28gamrFeed%29&utm_content=Twitter So, what do you guys think? I'm still grasping their system and writing method as it's a bit different from gaming blogs. More formal and re-wording is a must, etc. And yes. That's my real name.

@Pirandello Haha! I know what you mean. Japanophiles sometimes scare me to be honest. I assume this is the same case.
-
Kawaii desu~! :3 What the hell does that even mean? Who does that? I mean is there anyone on Kotaku who did that?
-
And you got play it?? You fuckin' bastard! What did you get to try out? MP? Early thoughts? New game-mechanic? Deets, man!
-
You talking about BC2 or are you in GDC and that's BF3? Haha! Sorry, just making sure.
-
Back-handed compliment of the week. LOL! Did that come out wrong? Wasn't my intention. I meant he wasn't trying to be a pompous super-debater guy or something.
-
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't talking about you when I started that. Was someone from Kotaku who always ended all his posts with it. John Lucas was it? Not sure. Unless that's you. In that case, erm...yeah. Haha! I don't think you're trying to be super-literate or something. I never got that from your posts. All's good, man.
-
Wahahaha! It's not something super juicy or something. Yeah. Either you guys know it, or it's widely assumed. Like Ashcraft stretching the term "games journalist" to its limits. Or that people think he takes living in Japan a bit too much. Not saying I agree or disagree. Just that a lot of people even those not going to Kotaku who feels the same way. Bottom line is reading a few things and observing a few things made me see bits of Kotaku in a different light.
-
@Deanb Thank you! At least I know it's just not me! I have no idea why. It just bugs me sometimes. @Thursday Next: You know what? I kinda was in the same line of thinking. I think these people who sign their name at the end must be journalist students or something. Not generalizing, but I think they must be "super literate" or they think they are when they do that. Yeah. Am I an ass for even thinking that way? "I hate people who have studied debating or public speaking in some way and then believe themselves to be silver-tongued (silver-fingered?) wordsmiths. For example, people who quote "ad hominem" or "Godwin's Law" and then act like they "won" the argument. "You mentioned Nazi's so by Godwin's Law you lose." No. Wrong." Oh, god! Yes. I know what you mean! Or people who knows more analogies, deeper terminologies, etc. They think just by throwing that out there it means their point is more valid, or it makes them smarter in some way. To me? They come off as pompous jerks. I rarely do that. For conversational purposes and for reading coherence. Kinda reminds me of Tim Rogers. Not sure if you dig his writing, but every time I see him post a story or a comment, it has to be long-winded and he comes off as someone who just thinks his fart smells better than everyone else's. Yes. I felt this way even when he wasn't contributing to Kotaku. @Hakidia: "Homoerotic convos that just involve innuendos or asskissing," "using tildes at the end of words" --- Care to give examples?

The article linked in the OP indicates it. Also some time in 09 it was announced that a small team was working on it. M'sE? No, that doesn't look right either. MxE? For all you straight-edge people? Thanks! Hmm...MRE? Or that DICE game that isn't BF related? DICE themselves said they learned a ton of things regarding ME is concerned. Y'know what, I actually haven't played it. Is it that good?

D'OH! Bad English...I apologize for being unclear. I meant to say that out of the people hear on this (TAY) board, you are one of the most active commenters at Kotaku. I can keep my mouth shut, but I can also understand you not wanting to have something in writing that you don't want getting out. I'm one of the people here that still has a star at Kotaku that wants to keep it, even though I only access it from the one PC I set up so that it redirects every page to ca.kotaku. (Even then, when I do head back, it's really sad how the quality, and quantity, of commenters has fallen. ) Ah! Yeah. Not as prolific now though. I rarely even read the comments these past few days. Not commenting as much as well. The community is slowing turning like IGN or something. I find that I'm commenting here more and more. Although I do think my recent employment with gamrFeed has something to do with it as well. I mean it wouldn't look good if I browsed for stories in kotaku when I'm employed by the gamrFeed, no? Also, not to bash and to plug or anything. But gamrFeed, Dtoid, Vg247, etc. Does have newer news. Their posts are more recent. I find that Kotaku's news are almost always a couple of hours, if not days late. Aside from the odd editorial that they do. Which, lately hasn't been special or anything as well. Or is it just me? Oh, and you noticing I'm one of the most active, is that a good thing or a bad thing? That's one of the good things about working at home. I'm in front of the PC almost the whole day. Of course. it does look like I have no life. I'm actually not concerned with my star. I mean I appreciate that I have it and I haven't lost it or anything, but I'm more concerned with the lurkers here. And some might assume X person from VGChartz is talking shit about Kotaku or something. Or they might read what I have to say and the EIC might deem that info should have been private. Hmm...Let me think. I don't think it's that big of a deal, but I also don't want to be in hot water this soon. It's mostly about news/news crediting, etc. Oh, and of course Kotaku's weird obsession with posting non-gaming related stuff.

It reminds me of the Neo Geo Pocket and Next Generation Portable. (I really hope Sony doesn't go with NGP as a name...) If I see someone talking about ME, I tend to think Mass Effect instead of Mirror's Edge unless there's some context. Yeah. NGP reminded me of the Neo Geo. ME just stands for Mass Effect. Same with GoW. It's God of War to me. Mostly because it is the senior franchise compared to Gears. Minor nitpick.

Too many or too few? (words) I am interested. PM maybe? (You're probably one of the most active Kotaku posters on TAY board.) Too many. I mean It's alright for normal pieces, but for cut and dry linking news? You have to fill it out. Although I do get why we need to do it. Doesn't make it easier. You mean one of the most active here? Or in Kotaku's TAY? Haha! I'm debating with myself if I should PM you. Nothing too major, but I haven't told the site I post here. Don't intend to actually. Thinking if I would get into trouble if someone reads what I say. As I say a lot!
-
Ok. I just made my first two news post! I think it's going to be live either later, or tomorrow. Nothing big mind you. Just something to get the cobwebs out and adapt to the site's posting format. Which I painstakingly did with an editor guiding me somewhat. Good? I can be opinionated but not too much. Bad? Word counts! Haaaay! Word count and image sourcing! Friggin' annoying. I'll post my first post here. And yep. It will be by my real name. So be gentle with the flaming. Also have to do a BIO of some sorts so that the site will put it up. And a pic! Fuck! Do not like that. I'm thinking of using an unknown actor's pic and passing that off as me. Will anyone know? Haha! Also got a few tidbits about kotaku that I want to share, but I don't want to get into trouble...

To be on hiatus means it needs to have been developed at all at some point. There's no indication that even that has happened. DICE seems to want to make another ME but it's EA that's going to decide if they ever get that chance again. EA is saying no right now. Oh, it was! Some higher up from EA did say that they're not forsaking or leaving the ME franchise to die. I think it was Patrick Bach of all people. Although I doubt they'll reveal anything soon. I mean BF3 is still BF3. Side-note, Is it just me or does saying ME really remind me of Mass Effect. Saying ME and "dead" or something feels weird.
-
Yep. If you read what the developers have to say it's definitely not canceled. Just on hiatus. DICE is working on BF3. They've been working on it for more than half a a decade already. In short, it's DICE's and EA's big game for this year. They don't want any other game to interfere with its sales. Aside from ME3 that is. Heck, the DICE devs I've talked to can't even comment on ME. Be it that it's canceled, or in prod. That's a good thing, right? So, imagine ME2 in Frostbite 2...Yeah. Those graphics and environments with real-time destructibility for a FPP? Fuck yeah!
-
I actually have never read Ashcraft review something. Aside from J-Pop things, Idols, etc. Has he actually reviewed a high-profile game?
-
What? Haha! I can imagine that being really, really annoying...Damn! Did you ever call him out on it? To be honest, I have no idea why I get annoyed with it though. Same reason people who refer themselves in the third-person annoys me I guess. I think it has more to do with the person posting something elitist or that he was acting like a douche.
-
I actually thought of something that irritates! People/Commenters who post their last name/nick at the end of their post even thought their avatar, profile is clearly shown. Say, me. Blah, blah, blah Blah, blah, blah excaliburps I dunno. Just seems a bit "douchey" to me. I mean, we know who you are as we can clearly see your avatar/profile name in it. It's not like a letter or an email where you do it to be courteous and letting people know or something. Am I the only one who noticed this? Someone from Kotaku used to do this before and I think I called him out on it. excaliburps (See! It's annoying, right?)
