So, Telltale Games are a pretty good dev if you're into adventure PC games. I haven't played their Sam & Max seasons yet, but I definitely plan to. I've recently been playing Tales of Monkey Island, and it's pretty damn good. But none of their games are as exciting to me as their next one. Back To The Future is one of those movie trilogies I've been watching and rewatching since I was kid. I just never get sick of it. And every single time I finish the third one, I always get kinda sad that I don't get to see what happens next. Now, thanks to Telltale, that childhood wish will finally be fulfilled later this month! I'm pre-ordering this the second it shows up on Steam! Anyway, this is mainly about anticipation for the BTTF game, but feel free to discuss anything Telltale in here.

I would imagine it (Civ V) will be on sale during the proper holiday sale (which is believed to begin on the 20th), but I wouldn't expect anything more than 25% off, to be honest, since it's still pretty new. I still can't believe I actually got it for free on D2D B)

New set of objectives for the treasure hunt includes one for Just Cause 2, which just happens to be 75% off. That's one thing off my holiday shopping list.

Indeed, maternal/cutlery relations are highly offensive to me. Stop it at once!

Here's a classic.

Dammit! For a second there I seriously hated myself for not thinking of posting the Ecstasy of Gold clip from The Good, The Bad And The Ugly first. But then i clicked to watch it and got some bullshit about MGM blocking it in my country over copyrights crap and it pissed me off :'( ... And yes, I AM too lazy to get up, grab the DVD from the shelf and put it on. Here's something to make up for it, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twtvr4e7O2M

Most Anticipated titles for 2011?
toxicitizen replied to superfrogsavestokyo's topic in General Gaming Chat
Yeah, 2011 looks like it's going to hurt my wallet. I'll separate them by platform of choice: PS3: Batman: Arkham City Dead Space 2 Killzone 3 inFAMOUS 2 (not entirely sure this one's for 2011 though..) Resistance 3 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception next Assassin's Creed (assuming it's not a handheld title) PC: Crysis 2 Portal 2 Deus Ex: Human Revolution The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Mass Effect 3 The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim obligatory november COD release Bulletstorm And I'm sure I forgot a few. -
Since when do prepurchases need to be cheaper than the actual price of the game ? How is 10% off + early beta access not better than full-price once it comes out?
-
Oh, I see. Hadn't really considered that stuff since the PC version has dedicated servers, so it's pretty much never going to be a problem. I still hear a lot of complaining from the PC crowd, though.

I know very little of this. I somehow got the idea that it's similar to TF2, is that correct? I'm asking because while I don't have a 360, I just seconds ago got a notice that it's available for pre-order on Steam. Since it seems to be pretty popular around here, I figured it might be worth looking into.

lol Well I'm not saying it's the best movie of all time or anything. But I liked it.

I must be the only person on the planet to not have had any problem whatsoever with Black Ops? I mean, it was pretty unplayable on launch day. But it got patched that very day (had to verify cache integrity for it to start downloading, so i guess the patch wasn't "officially" released), but it's been playing flawlessly ever since. Are most of you guys playing on consoles or PC?

Made the mistake of starting a new game of Civ V last night. So yeah, that's probably all I'm going to be able to play for the next week. That game is worse than crack. It's not a time sink, it's a freaking black hole. 1 am: "Sweet, entered the Medival Era. I'll just build a few swordsmen and go to bed." 6 am: "Alright, that should be plenty... 6 AM?! What the hell happened?!"

Always loved the courtroom speech scene from Boondock Saints.

Ukraine to open Chernobyl area to tourists in 2011
toxicitizen replied to staySICK's topic in Off-Topic
Man, I so want to go on vacation to Pripyat! But Chernobyl will have to do, I guess... -
Actually shopped around for a new gaming mouse last month. I was using a crappy Dell one and the scrolling wheel stopped clicking, so I had to replace it. Had my sight set on the Logitech MX518 for a while (the one Cyber Rat posted), but ultimately I went with a Razer DeathAdder and I'm really glad I did.

I really need to grab Diabolical Box Mysterious Village was the first game I bought for my DS and I freaking loved it. Not so big on the replay value, though Also LOL. I still like Penny-Arcade, but I must admit they haven't had a good one like that in a while That one's just perfect.

It's been confirmed on their forums that it's a new in-house engine. http://www.examiner.com/console-gaming-in-national/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-uses-brand-new-engine

So far I've only grabbed some of the very cheap titles in the current sale. AaaAAaaaA, Chime and Shatter Keeping most of my funds for the holiday sale in hopes of picking up some big titles I missed over the year. The biggest items on my shopping list would be: -Just Cause 2 -Fallout 3 GOTY (finished the original game 2 years ago but havent played any of the DLC yet) -Splinter Cell Conviction -Borderlands DLC I grabbed such an insane amount of stuff last year that this year can't possibly compare.

Hence my saying that they are sometimes "okay". By that I mean they'll have the occasional article/review that won't be completely retarded. It's hardly a site I visit daily.

Can't believe I forgot to give Heavy Rain an honorable mention. Loved that game.

Not to mention N4G only approves, promotes, and propagates the "FIRST" sub-meme which is really annoying. It's quite a pain for small websites to get consistent approval yet they claim they're impartial as to what gets promoted. Yeah. But at least shit usually gets posted quickly. And you can occasionally find some rather good smaller blogs. For all the latest gaming releases huh? I assume you meant Destructoid Woops! Yeah, Destructoid. lol
-
After Kotaku started sucking, I started using N4G.com And nowadays whenever Kotaku finally does post something news worthy, I've already read about it somewhere else. Of course N4G has the downside of forcing you to filter through all the bullshit that constantly gets submitted and (for some reason that is beyond me) approved. Other than that, Joystiq is pretty cool. DemonoidDestructoid is okay... sometimes.... And I still occasionally visit IGN, though I don't have a valid reason for that one.

Mass Effect 2 is GOTY for me, but I haven't had the chance to play RDR yet. God of War III, Splinter Cell Conviction, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Rock Band 3 were all stand-out titles worth mentioning, but none of them are GOTY material to me.
