  1. Groot looks fantastic, as does Rocket.
  2. What if Twilight Princess HD comes out and I beat it, but I also beat the original Twilight Princess in 2007. Does that count?
  3. 2014 gaming predictions?! Go!

Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III delayed to 2017. Square Enix blames Eidos division for distracting them.

BattleFront 3 will be cancelled... again. Stick of Truth will be delayed until Christmas to "work out the bugs" and then be released full of bugs. One Direction: The Game will be released by Easter.

Hopefully, the Ps1/2/3 backwards compatibility through Gaikai will be decent.

  4. Good thing I don't care what a GOD DAMN LEFT WING ALBERTAN LIKE YOURSELF THINKS, FLD! TO HELL WITH YOU!
  5. OH SHIT. I totally beat Proteus on PSVita! LIKE FOUR TIMES, DEAN! Just missing a few trophies to get 100%.
  6. Yeah, of which you can earn trophies for (neat!). But Proteus on the other hand actually has an ending of sorts, it deserves to be there more than Welcome Park, IMHO.
  7. Happy Earth-Making-Complete-Rotation-Around-The-Sun! Let's hope 2014 will be a good year, unlike that jerk 2013.

  8. Still up on Steam though, apparently.
  9. Tearaway Really good! The best Vita game. I don't necessarily mean the best game on the platform but it's the best Vita game at being a Vita game... if that makes sense. It's just a joy to play! Some people might say it's too easy but that's not what it's about, any difficulty would have ruined the fun and creative atmosphere. I bought this before Christmas for 18 dollars, but I'd have been happy paying 40 at release. Anyone who owns a Vita needs this game.
  10. The Last of Us because it made me feel something that I've never felt in gaming before. It took the rock solid engine from Naughty Dog's Uncharted trilogy and made it even better. It's beautiful, haunting, exciting, and depressing, all at the same time. Grand Theft Auto V, it might not have been as good as Red Dead Redemption but in terms of open world city games this year, it's the top of the class. The character switching was a great idea for this style of gaming and Rockstar really did make Los Santos feel alive. Plus, Rebel Radio was awesome. I might edit in a third one. Tearaway I'm so close to finishing and it's sooo good but I'm not comfortable putting a game on I haven't finished so... we'll see. EDIT: I officially deem Tearaway one of my 3 GOTYs.. just a fun, creative, joyful experience. Great music, great level design, at times it reminded me of Metroid, at other times Mario, and sometimes LittleBigPlanet, but at the end of the day it was a completely unique experience that won't be playable on any other platforms. This is the game the Vita deserved. So... 1) The Last of Us 2) Tearaway 3) GTA V
  11. Is it Dominos? If it's Dominos Pizza get the hell out of here! Just kidding ...mostly! Welcome aboard

  14. I had a N64, never had a PS1 but my best friend next door did, we always bought whatever console the other one didn't have. At the time, the N64 was a good decision. When you're 10 years old in 1997, having your best friends over every night in the summer and playing 4 player Goldeneye till 2am was the tits. Same thing a couple years later with Perfect Dark. Plus both Zeldas and Mario Kart. But as I got older I found Nintendo didn't really grow up with me, so near the end of the N64 days I had stopped gaming. I wish someone had just told me to pick up a PS1 and some Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid games but alas, no one did. So basically what I'm saying is if you find yourself trapped in the 90s and you're over 13, buy a PS1.
  15. My. God. Tearaway is 18 dollars on PSN right now.

I'll give you that, the platforming is pretty average (at best); but i don't think anyone is praising it for that. The things they are saying, that it oozes charm, uses the Vita in new, interesting and fun ways and that it's a joy to play aren't wrong. Maybe it's not the best game of the year, but for my money, it's one of the more enjoyable ones.

I'll give you that I cracked a smile the first time I poked my finger through the ground to kill enemies, or used the touch screen to unroll a path, but the novelty of the interface wears off after about the second or third level. I agree it oozes personality, but the level design doesn't hold up its end and novel controls only get you so far. I enjoyed my one playthrough, but as soon as I went back to start getting collectibles I missed I realized I had no interest in slogging thro...

I enjoyed my one playthrough, but as soon as I went back to start getting collectibles I missed I realized I had no interest in slogging through those levels again now that the novelty was gone. It was a decent game, nothing more.

  16. Good thinking with the 32 GB card. I don't know how people get by with smaller cards.
  17. Final Fantasy V works on Vita now, if you were waiting for that, you can download straight from the store.
  18. I don't get this "I'll be happy with the WIi U if it's another Game Cube" sentiment from the Nintendo faithful. The Game Cube wasn't a runaway hit but it never bombed this hard. Nintendo would be VERY lucky if they got that kind of success.
  19. Woo! Last day of work till January 6. Soon, I shall game, oh yes.

    2. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

I know. I have something like Silver or Gold-level insurance (Platinum being the best). Except no prescription drug benefits, which SUCKS. That will change next year, though.

yeah, I've got 80/20 with like a 1500 family/750 deductible and 5k out of pocket max family. Next year is 90/10, 500/1000 deduct, 2500 out of pocket maximum. FOR THE LOW PRICE OF $96/WK.

I don't even know what a deductible is. My grasp of the english language suggests that the better your insurance the less John Mcclain's and Adam Jensen's you'll be bother by. de-ductable.

  20. It was Cactuar till Fred broke my heart
  21. HH, Is Irredeemable Antman that bad? I picked it up for 99 cents each via Comixology awhile back but haven't read it yet. I also agree with Paul Rudd being a good choice for Henry Pym, glad it wasn't JGL, he'd be better off as Doctor Strange. However, I hope the rumour of Rashida Jones as The Wasp isn't true, I can't see Anne Perkins fighting alongside The Hulk and Iron Man in Avengers 3. I wonder how long till we get a monthly Pym focused Antman book? You'd think that would have to be in the works with a film on the way.
  22. WELCOME TO THE BOARD RACHEL. We don't bite. Except Wally. Dude's psycho.
  23. Fuck I was really hoping for a 5 hour self contained story and then one or two other self contained DLC packs. THIS IS JAMAIKING ME CRAZY!
  24. Wait-- Freedom Cry is episodic?
  25. Skyward Sword was the best characters and story in a Zelda for sure. Too bad the overworld sucked. And the volcano area music. Oh god...
