  1. I was just catching up on this whole thread. The Owen/Peru was always a huge continuity flaw, one that I find to be beyond redeemable. Lets be honest, the Anakin should've been the same age as Luke was in the original movie at the beginning. I always heard that Yoda and Palpatine were able to use lightsabers at their age because they were so proficient in the force. I honestly find that to be bullshit, because they didn't do any lightsaber fighting in the original trilogy. I always felt that if they were that good at the force they would not need the sabers. Any how. Fingers crossed my girlfriends company allows me to join them to watch the movie mid day Friday, and that night I'll be doing a lightsaber battle in San Francisco.
  2. Out of nowhere Witcher 3 GOG copy stopped launching from Steam. I click it, steam says I last played it right there, my screen flickers and then nothing. I can launch the game fine via GOG but Steam stopped launching it. The worst part is I had it working until recently. I removed the game from steam and added it again but nothing, any suggestions?
  3. I don't think Iron Man 2 is a bad movie. I actually liked it a lot

IM2 is a bad movie, but it is ok to enjoy bad movies. Just do not pretend they are really good movies.

  4. Steam ID/Wishlist/Country (in case of regional restrictions) My old tag was Madbassman39, I also have recently changed it to Spacegator69 (hehe) Here I'm called Monsterman because I haven't spent the good time to change it back in North America: http://steamcommunity.com/id/madbassman39/ Wishlist: http://steamcommunity.com/id/madbassman39/wishlist General criteria Like everyone else, I'm looking for something short, but also something that can be played in bite size moments. I love RPGs, Fantasy and SciFi, Strategy games have been something that I've gotten into since Xcom (the more like Xcom the better) Most games I stream to my laptop from my computer so something playable with latency. What are your favorite genres? RPGs/Strategy/Open World/action and adventure What are your favorite games? Boy Skyrim is still up there, Witcher 3, Rocket League, Xcom, Uncharted, Are you looking for any non-Steam gifts? I'm very open to it, although I don't have any wish lists set up for games not available outside of steam. Will you take games not on your wishlist? Yes, any good fit would work as long as you think it fits my style and interests. I'm open to trying something out I've never seen myself interested in. Any other information you think relevant? No horror. I can't play those games they freak me out.
  5. I gave it a shot this weekend and overall I like it. A lot. I didn't expect to like it even a little, but I had my hopes. I chose a sith warrior and although I'm only a level 11, the story missions seem to be quick and on point with no grind at all. It plays and feels like an MMO version of KOTOR which I really freaking liked (thanks again Revan). Sure the gameplay and locations feel very generic MMO but if I stick with it for the next few weeks work my way up the story a bit then I'll sub for a month just to get the new expansion.
  6. I like that story and think its very convincing. I also think Lucas proved through the way he handled the prequels, and episode 1 in particular, that he would never have actually have been so clever as to only slightly imply in the first movie. Lucas was a bit on the nose with everything in the prequels, he had no idea what subtlety was. It would have been one hell of a reveal and a great twist for the prequels.
  7. I feel burned as well. I wont be buying it right away, or at all. Its a shallow game that they should be improving the base game to a point where its really worth the buy in before charging more for expansions. With Horizons down the line they will have multiplayer ships, even the large ships can dock smaller ships but I don't think thats worth my time to grind to even take advantage of. I want Star Citizen to be as good as it sounds, its a smaller section of the galaxy to explore, but its still very massive. The gameplay appears to be deeper than what Elite has offered, so hopefully thats the go to game. I guess I'm still waiting for my new space sim fix, even though I feel Elite nearly gets the actual gameplay pretty good. I'll still play Elite as it is, but they wont be getting more money from me. I enjoy what there is to an extend, but I also get bored fairly easily.
  8. I saw the rumors this morning. I don't care for the Fantastic Four as heroes BUT Dr. Doom as a Villain? Yes please! If this is true the MCU will have Dr. Doom and Norman Osborn as villains.
  9. New patch introduces Close Quarter Combat and launches on the Xbox One. I played a game of capture the flag and it was pretty fun. Still needs to figure out some balancing in the match making, I was in a game that was balanced 2 v 3 where the teams were level 1 & 11 vs a level 26, 19 & 1. Other than that some neat little changes in game and some new ships.
  10. Well, I did the same. Now I'm going to figure out how to migrate my OS without losing all of my video game progress. I'm excited to get it going!
  11. I believe that On Stranger Tides would have been better received if Dead Mans Chest didn't exist. I don't agree with the DMC love, it was a good movie but not the best movie of the franchise (Curse of the Black Pearl is the best by a mile). The one things I have always loved about the Pirates movies is the acting, they've always had fantastic actors.
  12. I'm sure someone here had mentioned their hatred of adding "gate" at the end of everything, but I was reading about VW's Dieselgate. Seems that other German based companies are now being investigated for possibility of doing the same. BMW & Mercedes both claim they aren't as crooked as VW. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/09/23/german-automakers-us-diesel-emissions/ I am curious what this means not just for the future of VW (they'll be fine as the largest car manufacturer in the world for 2 years, plus the sales of Audi/Lamborgini won't be slowing down), but rather the future of clean diesel coming to the US. If you haven't had an opportunity to actually sit in a VW diesel, its a pleasant drive with little to no noise from the engine, no smell and no turbo lag when driving. America has limited experience with diesel cars, most of our experience around diesel is big trucks and the late 80s Mercedes brought out a great car but it was loud and smelt bad. Europe has been using diesel for a long time now, its the standard, and cars there don't seem much different than the petrol option aside from being more efficient.
  13. Seventh Son I knew it wasn't well received, I knew it was going to be bad, and I was looking forward to it. I love movies about monster hunters, so Beowulf (the animated movie), Van Helsing, Constantine (Keanu Reeves) are some of my guilty pleasures. I wanted this movie to fit along those, and it did. I loved watching it. Its also a really bad movie, and I would not suggest anyone else to watch unless they are willing to deal with a movie that is objectively worse than the other movies I've listed. To list the things that were bad: Bad dialogue, evil but cool villain, plot devices that made zero sense to develop into a convenient get away for the hero, some background on characters that only seemed to matter for a single sequence, and a romance that eventually goes no where... literally.
  14. Its been a month after release. What are your thoughts? I love the new design and fluidity of the OS. It clearly works best for computers with touch screens, but even without it seems to be pretty amazing. Cortana was a little more work that Google Now to get it to set up to feed me my interests, but once I started using the Microsoft News app and started to customize my interests, it is the first thing I open up when I want to do some internet browsing. Microsoft's money app is very useful in keeping up with Op-Eds and info on the stock market, which I've never had an interest in until recently because of this app. I don't like the Mail app. Its nice, but its missing a few features such as creating folders. It also has stability issues and crashes. Windows 8 apps still suffer from the same problem that they had in Windows 8 including stability, font sizes are too small with no option to change, and don't all work with the new gestures. I've also noticed that Split screen is limited to either a 50/50 split or a 60/40 split aside from a very small handful of apps. With the ability to resize the apps in desktop mode to almost any size, this design choice makes no sense. I also need more apps that work on this device, but Microsoft seems to be spearheading the app front already. People seem to hate the privacy changes on the OS level, and I can't blame them. I don't seem to mind at all which I've been told makes me part of the problem. I've always been in favor of a more personalized experience in exchange for information on my internet usage, but I also have way too much information that I have willingly put up on Facebook/google. Overall, I am really digging the OS. Between this and Yosemite on Macs I really feel almost have a truly modern computer OS that has caught up to our always connected smart devices.
  15. Based on what little we know about the new Disney Parks, it sounds like all the new Marvel & Star Wars rides are going to be motion simulators. I've been to Universal Studios and it gets old really fast

Too bad they got rid of that ride for a (albeit better) Simpsons Ride. I used to love looking at the many fully modeled Deloreans.

  16. Got rear ended in my new car today. I'm mad, the kid had a rental car and was trying to go to the embassy to get his passport to leave the country. I made him stay for the police report

He was a nice kid, he just wanted to give me his phone number and he promised he was good for it. I didn't take him up on it.

  17. After struggling with my terrible little laptop I decided it was time to find something more what I wanted both out of Windows 10 and as a personal device. I made the difficult decision to buy the Surface 3 with 4 gb of ram. Sure its not a surface pro, but really its more of a web browser with some email, word, Netflix, and Music device like I would any tablet. I just have a hard on for Microsoft all the time. I had a Zune for so long and loved the damn thing, bought into the Windows phone early on in the market, so this is nothing new. I have to say its very snappy and actually a pleasure to use, except for the mouse track pad which the only fault is it being too small.
  18. Basking robins is my second favorite ice cream place. The world class chocolate is the best. I'm going to see if I can squeeze in ant man today, but I'll wait for fantastic four to come out to Netflix cause reviews are pretty bad
  19. Three finger swipe up / click the three square button next to Cortana and at the bottom right you can add the "virtual desktop". It's just another desktop that will help you with your productivity.
  20. So i think its been just shy of a week with Windows 10 and so far I love it. I wish my computer was a bit better at being less sucky, but hey thats what a $300 laptop will get you. Things I love: -Cortana (especially 'hey cortana') -the Notification Center (Can we start putting widgets in the like Mac one?) -How much better it runs that Windows 8 / 8.1 -Groove music (keeps my data from my Zune unlimited but I pay for Spotify so I don't use it) -The new start menu -Virtual Desktops Things I'm not too fond of -Edge. Yeah its better than Explorer but it also doesn't have all of the conveniences that I've come to love with Chrome. -Lack of hot corners. I know people hated them in Windows 8/8.1 but I like them on my work Mac, I would love to see them make a return similar to that -For some reason the notification center doesn't pop up the windows I want when I select them for outlook or when I plug my iPhone in. -Hey Cortana stops working once I close my laptop and open it again (this maybe an issue with my computer) Overall, this OS is pretty great. I loved what Apple did with Yosemite, and for Windows this is a step in the right direction and a good competitor with Yosemite. Windows has a little work still ahead of them, but honestly this is pretty freaking amazing, just need some way to text people without using stupid Skype, maybe a way to hack into my imessage on my laptop?
  21. I really feel this map captures the San Andreas portion perfectly. The Bay Area/LA/LV really capture the feel of the transit in real life, way better than they did in San Andreas
  22. People say the LC airport is out of scale from the LS airport, but I'll be honest I don't think it is. I would love to have this GTA game, something that we can actually use airplanes for.
  23. I played a game with my friend and brother this last weekend. We won the first game something like 8-1. The second game we lost 7-5, but two of the goals were our own fault. During the second game, which had the same players as the first game, they were on their mics talking about how we suck, called us pussies and reminded us that we were idiots. We reminded them that we did win the first game in the chat, and then they wanted a rematch. We dominated the third match and won 4-0 and to our surprise, the trash talking stopped almost immediately in that game. It was satisfying to win.
