I didn't even want a new SSX. Tricky and 3 are awesome, but what I really wanted was Sony to bring back Cool Boarders. I'll make do with what I'm getting though, and at least give the game a fair shake closer to release, and probably a rental if I still think it'll be all right.

Game Dev Story I can vouch for, and I really like Angry Birds too. Canabalt and The Incident are also good and worth a mention. Also quite good is Doom: Resurrection. It's a rail-shooter based on the Doom 3 engine that uses the tilt sensors to aim around the screen. It's pretty enjoyable, but as to whether I'd get it at full-retail, I don't know, probably not. I got it when it was 70% off for Doom's anniversary or ID's or something like that.

This week, I will mostly be playing: Gran Turismo 5, NHL 11 and... something else. Probably making a press for that one last trophy in both Heavy Rain or Pac-Man CE DX.

I'm purposely gonna play FemShep first when I get the PS3 version next month. Never played any ME game before so looking forward to it. Also in before obligatory "Wrex." response.

This totally is not an advertisement. But I totally voted a handheld title GOTY. Suck it down.

I rather like Joystiq too. I know a lot of people rag on them because of the now-infamous Nier review, but they're really a nice bunch of people. Their podcast is always a good listen too. And no "good gaming website" would be complete without a mandatory Giant Bomb namedrop. Easile THE best games podcast their is, and the guys their are really good with getting properly involved in the community as well.

Maybe if the award show was focused more on the awards and not basically a primetime ad for GameTrailers (he'll, they even have Geoff Keighley producing the show, what did we expect?), us gamers might actually respect these. The GDC awards, and maybe the BAFTAs, are the only ones people take seriously. And with good reason. If the writers have to resort to weed and basement-dweller virgin jokes to perpetuate a stereotype, rather than the slightly more sophisticated people we actually are, then of course we're going to roll our eyes and deny their existence. You stay classy, Spike.

Now that this shit's on IPB it looks over 9000 times better on an iPod and way easier to navigate. Thanks for that, Reicheru! So yeah, James, 21, office croney, schmuck, Press X Or Die writer. I've written this intro too many times I'm not going to repeat the rest of it.
