  1. Got this last night. I needed a new stylus anyway, so go big or go home.
  2. I like to watch Primal Grill on the PBS stations. Nothing better than a big fucking pile of meat cooked the way it's supposed to be. Sure, he looks like a person stuck in the 70's (maybe he is), but he knows a thing or two about international flavors of grilling and BBQ. Side note: And really knows his wines, which he doesn't really talk about on his show.
  3. Pac-man was robbed.

Funny how the rematch date was already "suggested" by Bradley immediately after the fight.

  4. Starting the sentence with "omg" let's me know you are kidding, but you and my eldest share a name. I guess you can call me 'daddy', but that would just be wierd for both of us. I have yet to see if Legos will actually stick to it. I've been curious, but he won't take them off for me to check.
  5. I got these for my boy. He friggin loves 'em!
  6. Yes, and those are totally more affordable than the branded sets. The branded sets are just for fun. I love some of those SW sets (not all, as some are just a waste of LEGO).
  7. A man from Ubisoft said this: "Assassin's Creed III is coming out on October 30 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U.” So, Wii U will be sooner than later? Was he just speaking in error? Yo no se, amigo.
  8. Watching the replay of the MS press conference. I am disappointed. Way disappointed.

Did you watch it prior to hearing/seeing anyone's reaction?

I heard both good and bad, both from people's opinions I respect. I thought a few of the games looked okay, but I didn't enjoy much of the added "features" or another RE game or the look of Tomb Raider. I did like the SP game preview. No opinion on the added Madden features. Halo looked good. Maybe I was expecting more, but the other major players really made me excited about some new things. Not so much with the 360.

  9. I see that now. Fucking Romans. They need to just use whatever I use to make my life simplified. I refuse to change history, so I will leave that post as is.
  10. I check it out because of the linking to it for celebrity updates. I read TMZ and the likes, as well. I'm a gossip rag whore.
  11. Not that anyone is paying attention to anything other than E3, but a few deals are out today: FFVIII-2 is $40 at Amazon, 360 & PS3. Skyrim for $35 at BestBuy.com, 360 & PS3 & PC.
  12. I grilled some hot links and burgers. Had some pasta salad and carrot salad as sides. Cooler stocked with drinks. I've got enough left over to invite more friends tomorrow for another BBQ! Only, Harris Ranch New York steaks are 3.99 per lb at a certain store. So, I have larger meat to conquer on the grill tomorrow afternoon.
  13. Funny thing, here. A recent study showed that taking potassium supplements with higher salt content will negate the effects on health. So, next time, chase that with a banana. It is cheap and good for you in a few ways!
  14. Star Wars 1313. The premise sounds interesting. A lot of people disappointed it's not Battlefront 3.

Gonna have to show gameplay to me before I get interested.

The Star Wars license has been slapped around so much it actually generates negative interest with me nowadays.

Whoops! I hit delete on accident. Much apologies to who posted a response.

Johnny, I have to agree with you on how it generates a not-another-poo-pile response. However, I also keep hoping for something that is a winner. Part of being a sap for SW, I suppose.

  15. Toning muscles is actually a bit harder than losing weight. When you tone, the muscle is more firm during times of rest. Hence, you have to work out each muscle group in order to tone those areas. The easiest way is to join a local fitness class. Most gyms have them for beginners that focus on showing you basic exercises. Once you get the basics down, you can do more on your own and customize your own workout to best suit your needs. The thing about exercise for most is that it is a lifestyle change. You have to commit. And, if you have a friend to help you commit, you can usually stay focused on the prize.
  16. Hopefully the rumor about a Kinect MMO game from LucasArts is just bullshit. Knowing LA, it's worse than that.

I sort of wish Kinect would go away and die. Same with Star Wars at this point. (Don't kill me!)

No hate here, Cowboy. SW has been killed by overexposure. And, with all of the crap games they have pooped out using SW, there is good reason to wish it to go away.

  17. Finally saw Green Lantern. It's just as bad as people said. Special effects were good, but the rest was so horrid. And Blake Lively was just unnecessary, about as unnecessary as Gossip Girl.
  18. New Star Wars game being revealed at E3 has me giddy.

  19. I downloaded one for free today (free on iPhone today) called Glorious Quest. I booted it up to see what the game would be, and the music already sounds fun. The gameplay looks rather slow, but what else could I expect for free? http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/05/08/glorious-quest-iphone-trailer There is also another free one today called Tiny ARPG. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6mToxlK30o I didn't pick this one up, but I have a hard time passing up free. I'll be picking back up Mirror's Edge on the iPhone this weekend, too. I can't recall if I liked it on this platform.
  20. I don't think everyone thinks it is bland and crappy. Just the midwestern Iowa-type food, where the Wells Fargo wagon carries curtains, dishes, or a double boiler to the people of River City.
  21. Newegg is having some sale items, not just games. Games are at the bottom of the page. http://promotions.newegg.com/nepro/12-1886/index.html?SID=L2T_JKagEeGfbZLRDiclhQe9c18&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=TabStore_Tab-Gaming-_-nepro/12-1886-_-http://promotions.newegg.com/nepro/12-1886/696x288.jpg Decent prices on a few items.
  22. Cook's Illustrated is great for white bread American tastes. I dislike them for the international flavors, though. Sriracha is pretty sweet tasting, which makes it so popular, much like good jalapenos. For wings, I'd stick to Frank's. That stuff is great on burgers, too.

    Apple

I'm not saying it's only Siri. Apple operates within a bunch of rules that are very stringent, and they don't like to share details about any of their IP. And, it's quite noted that the iPhone tracks a lot of shit. As it is, iPhones are viewed as being a hard item to get within our company. They require VP level approval, and the VPs don't like to spend money. Now, add in that IT will be confronted with the possibility of security breaches within the organization stemming from the use of iPhones (perceived or reality). That is more than enough to have the plug pulled on iPhones and have them banned from the company. And since the company doesn't control who puts what apps on what phone, who knows what kind of stuff you can find (most likely, pron). Or, are we talking two different languages?
  24. TheRevanchist

    Apple

The company does not control the app store functions on the iPhone. That is all Apple. Plus, with our extensive security policy, we will probably enforce a change to keep our data safe. Things like security and safety are given a high level of importance within the organization.
