  1. I enjoy Johnny Depp in weird roles but... I don't know I wish he would do more serious roles as well. I mean he has but not as many as far as I know.
  2. Man the Hobbit is getting destroyed by Critics. I mean it doesn't matter, it'll still make millions I'm just kind of sad it's getting the same reviews as what I can assume are much worst movies.

  3. I just gave an example. I can give you plenty of similar things then. How about John DiMaggio appearing in all of these different video games and shows, a lot of them sounding like Bender at least at first? H Jon Benjamin doing his orgasmic voice for many shows like Archer and Home Movies? Same with Nolan North doing Drake's voice in other games and shows. You can argue "those aren't as big as Portal" but that'd be not fair as some of the media they've appeared are pretty big. Sure they don't necessarily do the exact same voice and Glad0s' voice is autotuned so it sticks out more, but I'm just trying to prove how it doesn't bother me to see/hear people I'm accustomed to in one show/game in others. Some voices are just popular. Ask Nolan North.
  4. I mean in that regard yeah. but does it bother me? Not anymore than seeing Starkiller from The Force Unleashed in films.
  5. Really? I thought the voice fit perfectly for a computer AI. And it looks ridiculous because it's an homage to all of those japanese giant monster films.
  6. Why are we assuming that if they release a Steambox that it won't be as powerful as a mid/upper-tier PC? If they can somehow cut deals to get parts for cheap they could easily sale this for $500. Will they? Probably not but something as powerful as next-gen consoles, which will be around mid-tier PC's when they come out, won't be bad at all. Especially since companies developing for the PC and 360 won't have to move away too far to develop for this (unless it's Linux based). And Ethan mentioned a good point with the controllers. The problem of us still speculating this early in the point, with no information whatsoever to go on, is that we'll be in an alternating wave of good and bad-hopes for it. I hope they release more info before the next-gen consoles are announced. Or maybe in the same E3, who knows.
  7. gave up on attempting being stealthy. I never went guns blazing but if the next door was in between me and a bunch of people I'd keep walking when they noticed my disguise and if I could reach the door before they turned violent I'd go for it. If not I would hide.
  8. I'm not happy with crying until we get what we want. Hypocritical of me considering the ME3 incident, but what am I gonna do.
  9. thunder is unlikely to strike twice and have two awesome secret santas that gift Far Cry 3. This is me making you all feel bad about yourself again. And myself. I'm sorry FLD. I DIDN'T KNOW. I DIDN'T KNOW.
  10. http://kotaku.com/5967888/you-can-vote-for-bioshock-infinites-reversible-cover-art?post=55149780 there. Happy birthday. Let it be known from now on that we as gamers get what we want when we bitch enough.
  11. Maybe I'm just lacking reading comprehension today but I don't see what is so confusing. I see it as: People want to play PC games+can't afford expensive rig or people with consoles interested in Steam+Steam deals are potential buyers. I think this is a similar argument we as a forum were having when the Ouya was announced where I found myself in your side of the argument. I didn't see the point because it wasn't marketed for me specifically. If you already have the rig and the know-how of PC hardware this is really of no use for you besides knowledge on the way gaming might end up going for the future. It affects me and people like me with underpowered machines, maybe in university, who can't afford expensive rigs.
  12. Advantages of consoles with the library of Steam. If it is dirt cheap even more so. Guaranteed run of game on your rig without fear of upgrading or lagging, probably a better big screen UI. Valve already said this is meant for those people who want simplicity in their gaming and unless a friend is willing to shop around for parts with me, help me install them, and slowly teach me about graphics cards and compatibility and shit like that, it seems like too much of a hassle if I can just buy a thing that I know for sure will play upcoming Steam games for cheaper. Highly doubt it'll be tricked out or Ultra settings, but they should at least look as good as the high settings of a regular computer.
  13. On the first day of Christmas my lover gave to me a.... I have no lover. I'm lying to myself.

  14. If that's the case then I am kind of worried now, but apparently they took input from plenty of comic book writers. And to be fair I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since the previous comic book movies he wrote were meant to be old-school comic films or just pure cheese-fest. I haven't seen him write this, but if he can get Nolan to like the concept and pitch the movie for him, not to mention produce, it must mean the idea at the very least stems from his work with the Batman films
  15. It shouldn't take that long considering it's only the first one. ONCE IT'S THE THIRD ONE HURRR HURR HERP DERP
  16. It's being written by a guy who has cowritten or written many other superhero films such as Blade and Batman Begins... I saw Ghostrider in there as well, but no comment.
  17. Maybe it is a European thing. But as somebody who has lived in both South and North America, we don't tend to put the games on pedestals and point bright light bulbs on them as a choir of castrato choir boys chants an angelic theme for all the house visitors to pass and admire the cover and maybe... just maybe a tear will shed from their eye. No we just put cases in stacks after stacks of old video games. Out of the four video games I've bought or currently own, 4 of them involved an angry male with a gun taking the whole cover. Except for XCOM. That has like 4 figures in the shadows with their faces hidden by said shadows holding guns.
  18. That's funny, the cover is a mirror.... because... it is you.. who loo..ks like poop SHUT UP YOU
  19. Not sure if that's sarcasm but in case it is, there are other controller designs so it's not like I'm stating the obvious. If it's not sarcasm, I agree.
  20. Zack Snyder gets a lot of crap but 300 was fantastic, Watchmen was the closest we were gonna get to the comic, and that other movie (can't even remember its name because it was bad) was mainly his wife from what I hear.
  21. Don't let Dean know or he'll bring it back
  22. I love how basically most controller now are using the 360's body. It really is the most comfortable.
  23. I would assume it'd be compatible with the big gamepads, like the 360 controller. But I remember seeing Valve had patented a controller design where you could move around the joysticks/buttons to your preferred location.
