don't get me wrong, not knocking the thai food at all but i like making indian at home better, probably because i personally am better at making indian than thai food.

that's why it's worth just getting a bunch of spices and creating your own curry powders. curry powders you get at the store are crap, but they're actually pretty easy to make your own tasty mix. i prefer indian v. thai to cook for that reason, it's easier to make your own powder than paste. i made some tikka masala last night. yum!

i can't get myself to actually watch it. i get enraged just thinking about it.

i watched cronos the other night. it's definitely worth watching. i mean, it's guillermo del toro and ron perlman's in it so... yeah.

the only good thing about speech class was being able to pick subject matter for speeches. i hated it otherwise. oh, and my speech teacher was an actor who used to be a waiter along with bruce willis in new york back before he was famous and he had such sour grapes he'd talk about was a douchebag bruce willis was at least once per class. that was mildly amusing.

i'm eating a delicious cream cheese brownie. i had a headache and decided it must be from lack of deliciousness, i feel better already.

in college for speech class i did my persuasive speech on legalization of marijuana. i've also done papers on lewis carroll and john lennon which were pretty badass, altho i for the life of me can't remember if i was supporting the claims that carroll was a pedophile or not - but i remember the paper dealing with it a lot.

Also, I'm gonna say infinitely respawing bad guys again because I'm playing through Black Ops. i guess this means i 3rdened this. i hate it when games have an item you need to be able to finish the game... and they let you pass a point where you're not able to go back and retrieve it if you miss it. i suppose this doesn't happen so much anymore, but god i still use sooooo many save slots because of this and get all uncomfortable when games (dragon quest ix i'm looking at you) force you to just have one save slot.

i don't remember what happened to him, i was like 6 at the time so i mainly remember wondering where all my kitty friends had gotten to (my brother was allergic to cats, so i would would use the roaming neighborhood cats to fill all of my cuddling needs). unfortunately i don't think he got his stupid ass thrown in jail, there aren't harsh enough penalties for animal cruelty if you ask me.

that sucks, i hope they come back! i'd stab someone in the eye and make them eat it afterward if they took my cat. when i was little i remember some douche bag in the neighborhood was putting poison in catfood tins outside his house cause he was sick of them going through his lawn. like 8 cats died before someone finally caught him. sometimes i seriously hate people.

yeah, my male cat was younger by like 7 years so at first i thought it was an age thing, but now that she's gone he just comes by and bats my ankles and stuff just like he used to sneak attack her when she walked by so i'm going with my cat's just a jerk.

it expands to any game with an EULA, which most games have, but i believe blizzards EULA's for WoW are probably a bit more specific than the ones slapped onto most videogames. i think the normal EULA on most videogames is similar to the ones slapped onto like DVDs and the like, i.e. for private, non-commercial use yada yada. Edit: and to concur with what ethan said, this is only currently binding in the area covered by the 9th circuit. this could conceivably come up in other federal courts with different results until or unless it's ruled on by the supreme court, which may happen if the ruling in another circuit is in favor of consumers because i can see blizzard being real dicks about it.

i don't normally take and interest in shooters but i have a friend who works at kaos so i've been following this one. my take on the game, and this is a little tainted by knowing the personality of my friend who's working on this and may in no way actually end up being what the end result actually looks like, but it's that it isn't trying to bash you over the head with "america fuck yeah" and even goes to some pains to rile up your emotions so that it starts to get you all warm and fuzzy with self-righteousness and then kind of sidearms you with how that can just lead to you being as much of a monstrous douche as the people you're fighting against. i also don't think the idea of it taking place on american soil was so much "america fuck yeah" as it was a little getting a taste of your own medicine kind of deal. but i've also somehow become an optimist in my old age, so i may be sorely disappointed.

i am a post-metal fan, not strictly by any means, but i like made out of babies and isis and neurosis and battle of mice and the ocean and stuff so i suppose all of that is classified as such. i really hate punk rock and metal labels, they're so nit-picky and dumb sometimes except when they explain how they actually sound (sludge metal, pogo punk etc.) those make sense. everything else is just music nerd fight fodder.

there's a little coffee shop down the street from where i work and they make these incredible, almost fudgy, cream cheese brownies (that only come in one size, obscenely huge) and ricotta cannoli with butterscotch and chocolate chips. along with their deadly good espresso that entire place will be my undoing.
