yeah, my nieces still see him just as the guy who did ponyo, so i'm really trying to remedy that asap.

my mother, and she loses some awesome points because she made me buy my own presents. or maybe she gains them in some people's eyes, but i prefer to be surprised and delighted by how thoughtful someone was when shopping for me. i bought myself howl's moving castle too. it's my favorite miyazaki film and i somehow never owned it.

i got demon's souls and 3dot game heroes videogame-wise... and of course had zero time to play them with. i also got some pretty adorable things from my nieces. i shall post them here later so that you can all d'awwww.

retro is an easily changeable term. classic is not. so anything that you played over a decade ago could probably be considered retro to someone, just like styles of clothes or stupid haircuts. classic is generally held to a higher standard, as something that was played back then but still has relevance today. so like pac man, mario bros. type stuff. we'll only know what retro things become classics as they change the game or keep their relevance.

i'm eating some pizza and onion rings. i'm not even really that hungry, but the stupid pizza looked so good when i went down to the cafeteria at work today. and i hardly ever go down there and their onion rings are the best so i had to get some of those.

as other folks have mentioned ffxiii was obviously disappointing. i didn't hate it as a game, but it certainly wasn't the epic final fantasy i wanted it to be. and phantasy star when they stabbed me in the back and turned into pso. i tried for so long to get into a pso or psu game because i loved phantasy star i-iv so fucking much. i guess the psp games redeem themselves a bit i hear, but i'm reluctant to give them more money. they've hurt me enough.

yeah, i get really strange with refreshing websites and the like, especially if i'm slow at work (it actually looks like i'm doing more work if i'm refreshing a few different sites than if i actually go do something productive with my time) but once i start feeling weird about it i'm generally able to hold off / occupy myself otherwise. but i have had a day here or there where i've refreshed enough sites with no responses to know it's kind of creepy and i should probably stop.

argh, bad habits. i used to smoke, i don't anymore, but i do miss it like everyday. and i play with my lip piercings a shit ton more now that i don't smoke, but i guess that's more weird or gross to some people than a bad habit and since i'm on the phone a lot at work it's probs better than chewing gum. i don't like chip my teeth or anything. i drink a lot and boy howdy do i procrastinate, although my long bouts of procrastination are often interspersed with short periods of delightful productivity so i like to think it balances out. oh, and i lie to myself a lot like the balancing out thing. but i like to think it works to my advantage.
