The 'guaranteed DLC character' pack thing was only ever short-term when the first bit of DLC was released, and I don't think they've repeated that since.

http://blog.bioware.com/2012/07/11/earth/ More MP DLC. At least if I haven't unlocked a krogan vanguard, there's a higher chance for an interesting new human class. And new maps, yay!

I think I've only played two new games. Honestly, the year always starts slow and then ME3 and life kinda bummed me out for a while. Having said that... Mass Effect 3 Ultimately, I think it's a great game. While I wasn't happy with the general direction of things (boring squadmates, Crucible, space nazis), it did have some really great moments; a lot of which is bolstered by the past and having your own 'experience', that is unique to Mass Effect. The latter half (Thessia onwards) is incredibly weak, and the final section (the whole Earth bit) is still probably one of the most terrible things I've seen, but, with the EC, I have to admit that I 'appreciate' what they were trying to create with the endings, at least. I think, as with Arkham City, I actually got hooked to the general gameplay more than the weaknesses in the story. Multiplayer is definitely a lot of fun and I still play it to this day. I do wish they'd do something like Episodes From Liberty City with some of the other characters made playable, since they already have a lot of the groundwork. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Hadn't touched a LEGO game since the last Batman one, so this one probably benefits from being a little 'fresh' for me. Not that it's something you can really play for more than an hour. I like a lot of the new things they've introduced, and it's fun to play as Superman (even if flying in the open-world is absolute pants), but I did like the first one's switch between playing the heroes and the villains. Can't say I've played enough of the story but I guess it's alright. There's just too much 'Batman and Robin/Batman and Superman go after The Joker and Lex Luthor. Then something happens, and they get away. Rinse, repeat, etc.' Definitely not GOTY-material, but a fun enough little distraction every now and then.

Sorry, should've clarified that. I think there has been some sharing going on, though I'm not sure how easy or widespread it is. But then I guess I wouldn't have expected people on YouTube (where I saw this stuff) saying "Here's the file to do it. FREE SONGS." And, yeah, I didn't get that you were being disparaging about the Rx Bandits track. I just love them SO IF YOU SOUND EVEN REMOTELY NEGATIVE, I WILL FIGHT YOU

I felt guilty about not giving their latest stuff a chance, as they lost me some time ago, but after reading that I feel less guilty. You don't revisit classic tracks like that unless you've got some masterful plan. Especially this long later. Especially that song. Ugh. I'd have gold stars in that within an hour It does look like a fun one to play though, definitely. Do you have any idea htf people are creating custom tracks like that and how one goes about obtaining them? I had seen it done in the past with Guitar Hero, which I know to be a PC release, but I ignored it as I'm not a fan of that interface. If there is a scene of people making custom RB shit with pro support though, I need to find out where it is and stand in the center of it. I might even have to learn how to contribute. I think there's still value in stuff The Offspring do, you just have to adjust your expectations a bit. Ever since Ixnay, they have always gone in a different direction overall but there are flashes of the old stuff in there. With that Rx Bandits song, I wasn't really talking about technical skill (though I think I did show you Bled To Be Free by them) but the overall composition and creativity. The drummer just blows my mind. The custom RB stuff is all part of the Rock Band Network initiative, I believe. They released some sort of software or something that people can purchase or license or whatever and it enables them to create charts to go with songs. I figure a lot of people just use it for personal enjoyment, but it looks like a fair few companies/individuals actually work for bands or record labels and create the tracks to sell on RBN. If you could figure out how it works, you could theoretically make anything you wanted though you'd need to hold the licence to make any money off of it though.

The Amazing Spider-Man. It had its problems but I think it's my favourite Spider-Man film. Though the Raimi ones are a very different style so I'm not saying it's 'better'. I like the approach it took with some of the stuff, although it wasn't without a fair bit of cheesyness and contrivances that are par for the course.

He was only a producer for Talladega Nights so I'm not sure how much he can be blamed for that.

Yeah, I have so many films I intend to watch and John C. Reilly is great. I usually just wait until they hit that £3 on DVD sweet spot. I just own too much shit, that I need some way to limit myself.
-
Heh, that would be the one I haven't seen. I do find his films to be poorly-paced in general though.

I think it would depend on where those 30 minutes were. The first part definitely did not need any more stuff. Related advice: Never watch the extended cut of a Judd Apatow film. You will be bored rigid.

I know. No, wait, I mean I HAVE NO SHAME! (That I'll tell you guys about anyway). Also, I am playing a bit of LEGO Batman 2 but that does not hold your attention for long.

Every time you fund a Kickstarter you are effectively saying 'day one'.

Problem I have is, like ACII, they are clearly going for some sort of arc for the protagonist (which is a good thing!) but if marketing is to be believed, they've gone for the most trite idea ever.

Plus, you know, Altair already killed a fuckload of Crusaders and no one gave a shit then.
