P4: Gritty Reboot

I don't generally curse. I don't think I'm superior, and I'm not smug about it, but I try to find different ways to express myself. Now, swearing in movies and such I think is absolutely necessary sometimes; imagine Saving Private Ryan or Dexter without the profanity. Simply wouldn't have the same intensity, or in the former's case, historical accuracy(ish). And I also don't get squeamish around other people swearing. It's just the way the world is and the way the world speaks, so I think to get all offended by things like that would be kinda foolish. I do cringe a little at "Jesus Christ" being tossed about, being a Christian and all. But again, I don't expect people who aren't Christians to respect the name, so I try not to let it bother me. So yeah, P4 has spoken on this matter.

Actually, DQ9 is a pretty short game. The actual "campaign" if you will can be easily done in under 12 hours. I'm sure it could if you went in trying to speed run or whatever, but How Long to Beat suggests my time is pretty average for the game.

Totally depends on the game and genre. I played through New Vegas in 29 hours and loved every minute; I'm 36 hours into Dragon Quest IX and kinda wishing it would start to draw to a close.

Have you checked out Sin & Punishment 1 & 2 on the Wii? Good games the both of 'em.

Yup. When I went back to do some of the loyalty missions in ME2 there was an uncanny resemblance to tying up Frog's loose ends in CT.

Waffle is upvoted for Lego Island 2 alone. Also, I seem to feel about COD1 how you do about COD4. I should get around to beating 4 one of these days.

So I wrote this article a few days back exploring a few similarities between Mass Effect and Chrono Trigger. I've received both negative and positive feedback from some readers, but one thing I've learned is to not mess with Chrono Trigger. It is apparently sacred.

I love Prime. I liked Hunters' control scheme, but the singleplayer campaign got a little tiresome partway through. Still a good entry overall, especially for the technical accomplishment of fitting it on the DS.

Alright, sale almost over. What were the damages for each of you? I spent about $10 total on two gift copies of games, not too bad. Helps that I was broke for most of it.

I suppose I can understand his frustration with having his email put up here, but at the same time, I always try to write emails with the knowledge that they can be forwarded, screen-capped, printed out, saved, and posted anywhere in the world. I mean, did he think the accusation would be a secret forever? Dean was just supposed to take his lumps? Especially as an editor of a major gaming blog, I mean, it was gonna come out. And if it was important to keep secret for the time being, then put, "Hey Dean, please don't pass this on for now, but we gotta resolve this one lingering issue..."

The worst part of Chrono Trigger is the level layouts. Some pretty silly design decisions were made in that regard. But the story, combat, open world (a bit later on), multiple story paths, music, and graphics are all incredible. Easily one of my favorite RPGs, and I just played it earlier this year. If you get lost this walkthrough is super-helpful. EDIT: Oh yeah and I'm playing a Skulls of the Shogun alpha build and Runespell Overture review build. Both are great thus far.
