I use my PS3 frequently both as gaming platform and as BD player, so I would say I like it quite a bit. The person below me thinks I'm crazy.

So far there's been a lot of cool ideas! I'm thinking about downloading it and using it for some stuff I want to do. Though if this works and people want to sell it they ask for a $99 fee and 25% Royalties after the first 5k earned. I learned ho to code and program some basic stuff in school, so I want to see if I still have the ability to learn and use stuff like that.

Why would I? My PC would explode if I tried to run that game. The person belows me wants to work in the videogame industry.

All the time... Well, not all the time, just most of it. The person below me lives in a small apartment/house.

"While this weapon's damage output is low compared to other weapons obtainable with similar effort, it is unique in that every hit that lands (even if the enemy blocks it) does 10 durability damage to each item the target has equipped. When the durability of a weapon or piece of armor is below 30%, its effectiveness decreases greatly. Because of the special effect, this weapon is very effective against players or NPC's that wield katanas, since it only takes 5 or so hits before their weapon durability is below the 30% point." Every time I try to use an actual "writing process" I end up doing nothing, so I just listen to some music, and whatever comes to mind becomes a story, sometimes good, sometimes bad, I should probably add some of them to my blog, but I'm too lazy to do so. I tend to hit brick walls this way though, which is why a lot of the stories I begin are never finished, but at least I actually write stuff this way. Also, every time I have a cool idea, I begin a story about it, that's why I always try to carry a notebook or something with me.

LOL, Replies are disappearing now! Anyway, to answer your question, there's no in-game way to coop with someone specific, basically what you do is send a message via XMB saying something like "Ok, placing my soul sign *insert place where soul sign is going to be placed* ready?" then the other dude replies when he's ready and he goes to where the soul sign was placed looking for the specific soul sign of the person he wants to coop with... I'm not good at explaining things so this probably sounds way more confusing/complicated than what it is when you try it.

I always go with 1-1 2-1 3-1 4-1 5-1 then 1-2 2-2 and so son it works best for me. Also, for weapons, depends on what are you going to focus on, my new character is heavily focused on magic so I went with a Crescent Falchion (you get it in 4-1 I think), that weapon receives bonus damage based on my magic level, so that's the best weapon for me right now, if you have a strength inclined character then there are many good weapons, but I'm not familiar with them. For shields, I don't know, I use the Dark Silver Shield with my other character, but it will take a while before you can get that one. Before that I used the Rune shield which is available in 3-2 (that's the tower right?). Anyway, we should start playing coop again!

Installed patch, tried to join squad, got stuck in "connecting"...

I just ran to a corner and waited until they tried to ram me. They go down easily that way. Also, that dead animation is:

You can change regions in the options menu I think, so as long as we're all in the same region we can play.

Of course I do! \m/ \m/ The person below me didn't care about the Super Bowl.
-
I didn't know about that part, sounds interesting, though I'll probably avoid it, not good enough to compete against others. I'm keeping an eye on the Atlus forums in case they say anything there.

I can't hit anything with the shotgun. So I use the standard weapon for tactician, coupled with the revolver.
-
Most of the games I've played have a decent medic, except you know... It's only 1 I tried playing medic, but considering I get killed easily I'm not much help. Curiously, most of the time, the other team seems to have a lot of medics, they're always being revived which creates some really interesting battles in certain areas of the map.

I have around 200 DVDs, and just 10 BDs (though I'm counting the anime boxsets as only 1 each ). Also, I still have a couple of VHS movies around here.
-
True. The person below me doesn't play videogames of the survival horror type.
-
As far as I know, you can change regions in the options menu. Also, going with tactician now, everything else just means I'll be dead within a couple seconds of spawning. Now that my connection seems to be working again I can play at any time. Edit: I love playing Operations, really cool game mode, and so far I haven't had any problem with dudes not working as a team.

SS: Like Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls will include online co-op and competitive play. Are you planning any broad changes to the multiplayer? HM: Yes. Throughout the game, there will be both cooperative and competitive play with other players. Each user will enjoy a unique single-player game; at times, they will cross paths with one another. Depending on the situation, the time, and the players’ goals, those players may cooperate or compete against each other. The multiplayer system we’re creating will envelop the single-player mode. Multiplayer will enhance single-player, make it more unique, compared to other games that emphasize traditional multiplayer co-op or competitive play. SS: What’s the single addition to Dark Souls that you’re most excited by? HM: Probably the Beacon Fire. It stands for a lot of things. It serves as a recovery point; when the player’s health is low, the Beacon Fire helps you recover. It serves as a respawn point as well. So it’s powerful from a gameplay perspective. Secondly, the Beacon Fire will be used to share experiences with other players. It’s a place where players can gather together and communicate — not verbally communicate, but emotionally communicate. Third, it’s probably the one place in Dark Souls where users can relax just for an instant. In this cold, dark world, the Beacon Fire is a place of warmth. It’s one of the few locations in the game that is heartwarming. It expresses this dark fantasy world I’m trying to create. I'm about to go online Also, my connection has been going all crazy and stuff after a certain point (like, during the afternoon it won't work properly ), so I probably won't be able to play unless it's before 7 or 8 PM

Taken from a comment on Kotaku: One thing Bash left out of the translation of the Famitsu article on Dark Souls was that because of no dedicated servers there won't be any Soul Tendency anymore. No talk of World Tendency. Also, the world views of the game will be Middle-Age dark fantasy (obviously) and will have three directions/trends: "high-fantasy knights and king(s)", "the depths of earth and death", and "the flame of chaos." Honestly, I'm not really sure what it means, but I don't think anyone is at this point. There are two themes to online play: Sharing experiences with other players to get a slight feeling of camaraderie (note the word "slight"--I think they're still trying to provide a solitary experience), and the other one (already-mentioned in Bash's article) is "mutual roleplaying," which promises "varied interactions." There was also a picture of someone who looked like the successor to the woman in black. You could only see her back, but she was blond. http://kotaku.com/comment/36587150/
