  1. This looks awesome, price will probably be quite high, but still, pretty neat what they have here.
  2. Forgot to post this lol. I guess to promote Unbound, it's 95% Off on Steam.
  3. Secretary of National Security and Defense of Ukraine: In national news, it's leak season! First, after the Supreme Court ordered the cancellation of several arrest warrants against suspects in the Ayotzinapa case (kidnapping and murder of 43 students), classified documents were leaked. These confirmed the involvement of the army and local police in the kidnapping, the army offering to "clean up" some of the bodies, disposing of them in areas inside an army base and more. Most disturbing, the leaks showed text conversations between cartel members during that day, it's hard to describe how disgusting and sickening those texts were, how casually they talk about mutilating the "packages" handing some of them over to other members to be dissolved in acid, etc. To say it's fucked up is a massive understatement. Anyone who is against calling these people monsters needs a reality check, no other term could apply here. Then a hacker group calling themselves Guacamayas hacked the armies of Mexico, Chile, El Salvador, Peru and Colombia. In the information revealed about Mexico... Boy there's a lot, including that the president's health is way worse than he claimed, he's since admitted, though downplayed a fair bit, that he did in fact have to go to the hospital, but claims it wasn't that bad, the leaks mention he's had to undergo emergency procedures a couple of times. It was also revealed that, although the president claimed to be "different" and that his government didn't spy anyone, the government was using the Pegasus spy software to target journalists and human rights activists. The amount of soldiers present in borders, bridges and ports is also there, and it turns out they are severely understaffed everywhere. One of the biggest pet projects of our current president was the cancellation of the new airport and the construction of another, his own, inside a military base, was pushed because the army wants to create not only their own airline, but also a tourism based corporation that handles everything from flights to hotels, tours and more. We've also learned that the army not only knows who the cartel members are, but also where they live, where they go, where they get their weapons (one of these places is right in front of a military base lol), but also knows who their targets are and when AND where they're going to be killed, and yet they do nothing. Also apparently SEDENA (national defense) has Families of Children With Cancer Feminist groups Human Rights Groups On the same threat level as Hezbollah, ISIS and Al Qaeda according to a leaked threat analysis report for the AIFA airport. There's still more that keeps coming up, apparently there are 6TB of data, including documents, emails, texts and more. Also, and this was not a leak, AMLO is not happy about the Nobel Peace Prize, he was hoping he'd win it thanks to his peace plan for Russia and Ukraine, plan which received the following response: Of course, his plan was basically: Russia keeps the territories they've taken. Ukraine apologizes for being so hostile. ????? World Peace! Not surprising that Ukraine wasn't on board lol.
  4. NFS Heat The characters and story are all annoying as hell, the best way to put it, if you've watched the F&F movies, everyone is trying to be a more annoying version of Roman Pearce. The actual racing though, is pretty fun, very NFS, which is to say, very arcadey, been playing with a wheel and honestly, though it is fun, I think this is the kind of racing game that doesn't benefit that much from using one, specially drifting, still don't know how to do that. Kinda more hyped for Unbound now that I've played a bit more of this one. Dead Space 2 Going to try and play through the entire trilogy this month, DS is complete now DS2 is up, thought that I would have a hard time without the Zealot suit and weapon from PS3, but it turns out PC gives you a ton of special suits and weapons, so that's nice. Death Stranding Loving this game more than I thought I ever would, delivering packages is way more fun than you'd think.
  5. That thing is gigantic, ridiculously big, damn thing doesn't even fit in a standard size case.
  6. This looks ridiculous and stupid in all the right ways.
  7. TREPANG2 (DEMO) AKA You got some DOOM ETERNAL on my F.E.A.R. The aesthetic and atmosphere is very much FEAR, there's even some horror stuff here, the combat on the other hand, is FAST, not quite with the same mobility as DOOM ETERNAL, but that's only because it's missing a grappling hook. You have two special abilities, focus, which slows down time, and cloak, which makes you invisible. There's also some kind of stealth system but honestly, it's more of a way to set up enemies for max carnage than a way to sneak around. Speaking of, both physics and gore are over the top, run into some enemies with shields? Slide into them and watch them fly sky high, shoot them with the shotgun and watch them explode into a red mist, leaving behind a trail of internal organs. Combine this with the slow motion of the focus skill and you have a symphony of bloodshed. One of the best indie shooters I've played, definitively keeping an eye on this one.
  8. XCOM Enemy Within The EXALT missions got kinda boring after a while as there's only two types, hack relays or defend relays, the last mission was cool though. Gene upgrades and mech soldiers are cool, ended up only using genetically enhanced soldiers though, as I remember from a previous attempt that mech upgrades are... Permanent, very permanent, at least with genetic modifications they still look like humans. Dr. Vahlen was even more annoying than usual though, it's not my fault aliens are made of TNT and explode when dead, also not my fault they explode near meld canisters, which doesn't matter because we have meld coming out of our ears! I don't even know what to do with all the damn stuff!
  9. That did work better, still had some trouble but that can be chalked up to my lack of skill.
  10. I tried the demo, but wasn't a fan of it, the parry/deflect works excellently against human enemies, but against creatures it was frustrating, deflect a hit and it doesn't do anything as their combo just keeps going and going and going, I'd rather deal with the ulcerated tree spirit than the tigers and the dragon thingy. Doesn't help that one of my first encounters against a tiger involved it falling down a cliff and laughing it off only for me to slip down said cliff and dying instantly. The morale system was also pretty frustrating, even with the flags and the way they raise the minimum morale, I still found myself backtracking way too often just to kill weaker enemies and work my way back up, only to find that sometimes the mere act of being hit lowers morale, that some spells are tied to morale level just made it worse IMO. I did like some of the combat systems, combining martial arts and spells with normal attacks makes for some interesting and really cool combos. The beast system is interesting, being able to choose an offensive, defensive or support role is pretty neat and should make for some fun online sessions, but overall this style of games is not for me lol. I am loving Sekiro, but that one has a finesse, rhythm and feeling to its combat that IMO is not quite there in Wo Long. It's a shame because it looks cool and I was looking forward to it, but after playing the demo I think it's a skip for me. Watching some videos of people who know what they're doing is pretty cool though, makes it look really fun.
  11. Looked cool until I learned it was PvPvE, lost all interest there and then. This one looks great! I can't wait! \m/ \m/
  12. So that's a thing, I know a lot of people like EVGA and now they're out of the GPU market, for whatever reasons they may have, they refuse to work with AMD or Intel, be interesting to see how things go for them.
  13. Fuck it, decided the best way to try and break through this block was to just try and replicate a drawing I like by reference. Original (NSFW warning): https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/57225537 Did some warmups and then went at it, messed up a bunch of stuff, proportions, eyes, hands, but as a quick exercise it wasn't that bad(?). Did realize that by the end my hand couldn't grip the pencil anymore lol, I was struggling a fair bit, not that I use a death grip or anything, I try to consciously use as light a grip as I can, but even so, don't know whether to chalk it up to severe lack of practice, 'rona aftermath or something else. Brain is still a bit foggy, hand's a bit weak, but at least I want to draw again lol, whether I actually do so or not is an entirely different thing.
  14. Well, looking at my last post in this thread sure is depressing. Haven't finished that drawing in almost lol, in fact, haven't been drawing much, bunch of things happened that kinda took the wind out of my sail, and then when I tried to get back into it I got stuck in this loop of wanting to get better at drawing and wanting to practice, but not wanting to draw anything because I hate how the stuff I draw looks. Sure been a fun year in that regard.
  15. Death Stranding This is gorgeous! What? Wait what?! WHAT?! The fuck was that?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?! DUDE! THAT'S Kinda sad I didn't get to
  16. Nope Didn't know whether to post this here or in the OK movies thread. Decided that in spite of the issues I had, it was actually a pretty good film I wouldn't mind watching again. I liked it, it does something fun with the genre, it was neat when The was awesome. \m/ \m/ Overall it was a really cool movie, though I wouldn't call it horror, since nothing about it was really scary or anything like that, there's some blood and gore but nothing that I would consider horror, something to consider if you're going in expecting a sci-fi horror movie, you might be a bit disappointed. Though I'm not a big horror guy so probably not the best judge when it comes to this stuff. The thing that drags it down a bit Without those scenes or if they were shorter it'd be a GOOD movie. Also, someone said that it's and now I can't stop thinking about it.
  17. Been playing some demos: Soulstice Devs went all "What if we made a game that had cool graphics, cool combat and a fun and useful companion... and then we gave it the worst camera system of all time!" Thus we end up with this, it uses that not-quite-fixed camera that follows you a bit before you move to the next area and it moves to its next fixed point, resulting in: Getting hit from enemies that you can't see. Camera freaking out when moving back and forth between certain areas. Geometry blocking your view when walking through narrow paths. And some other fun issues that make this game kind of frustrating to play, shame really, the rest of it seems fun enough, if they fix the camera issues I might get it. Anger Foot This one was fun, I was worried it'd be one of those games were enemies die in one hit but you do too, thankfully you can actually take a couple of hits before dying. You kick stuff, yeah, there's guns and other stuff, but the main combat is kicking stuff, there's even different shoes that give different buffs and abilities, neat. Frontier Hunter Well, this one I didn't play, downloaded the demo a while ago, tried to play today and... No more demo, you can only buy it, turns out the demo was time limited, so that's a thing. Metal: Hellsinger Absolutely love the concept, awesome soundtrack, cool gameplay, love everything about it and yet... It's not for me, the rhythm game aspect of it is a cool gimmick and something to set it apart, love how the music is tied to it and how things really kick off when you reach a certain combo, but it also made me keep my eyes glued to the rhythm bar instead of looking around and keeping track of enemies and the environment. Wish there was a way to increase the volume of it, or have a different visual cue. Still, love everything about it, it's not the game, it's me. Edit: Way easier to get the rhythm right with headphones! \m/ \m/ EXCELLENT.
  18. Aperture Desk Job 10/10. Yeah, it's basically just a showcase/tutorial of the Steam Deck, but even if you don't have one, it's worth playing for the humour and writing.
