  1. Violent Night First half is a bit slow, but man, once It gets going! Violent, funny, with some pretty good action, and with some genuinely heartfelt moments here and there, an instant classic for me, and one I'll gladly watch over and over every Christmas season lol. If the first half was a bit shorter it'd be one of the best movies ever. David Harbour is awesome as Santa, def would like to see him back for another one lol.
  2. Progress!! Was meant to be for Halloween, might be done in time for Halloween of 2030.
  3. It's on Game Pass if you want to suffer through it.
  4. Scorn Made it to the first puzzle, and that was enough for me. I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the ted sled shred shed (), but the way the controls feel, the sluggish movement of your character, the unskippable animations and the fact that you can't reset a puzzle if you've fucked something up, just makes things way more annoying and frustrating than they need to be, and this is before you factor in combat and monsters, not to mention that after looking up the solution to the puzzle I was warned that there were even more annoying puzzles in later portions of the game. Visually impressive with a very cool art style, but most definitively not for me.
  5. Amnesiac characters, gacha games in particular LOVE their amnesiac characters. Specially bad when your character doesn't remember who they are, turns out they're the legendary hero/special forces dude/whatever badass title the game gives you, but everyone still treats you as a glorified errand boy because you don't actually remember anything, even after being told who you are. "Ok, so you were leader of the Holy Order of Whatever, cool, anyway I need you to go on some menial quest for me, you can't refuse because... Reasons..."
  6. "It's like Battlefield but scary" Pretty accurate description. Basically, you mark your target and the systems it has make all the necessary calculations, distance, windage, bullet drop, etc, and then tells you where to aim in order to ensure a hit. It can also save multiple targets and according to Vortex's site, it's meant to be able to link with drones and other systems in the future.
  7. Yeah kinda, the story beats and revelations might not make sense if you skip the base campaign, also I don't know what kind of inventory the game gives you if you skip it, specially given how you can craft weapons and items. Also I don't know if the game will even allow you to start the DLC without having a base campaign save, I know you don't need a completed save, but you might need to start the base game before playing the DLC? If you can start it right away and you don't want to play through the base campaign, here's a quick recap lol: Maybe not as quick as I thought lol, but that should be all you need to know in order to start Awakened.
  8. Dead Space First time playing on PC, made the turret sections so much easier lol, aside from some technical issues, like the game not running properly if the Origin overlay was on, and some crashes, I'd say this has aged like fine wine. The atmosphere, the sounds, everything, even after playing through the whole game a bunch of times, it's still scary. Dead Space 2 Looks way better than I remember, but maybe that was because I originally played it on PS3 at whatever settings it ran and this time it was on PC at 1440p lol. Holds up pretty well, the drill section is still annoying IMO, but the rest of it is fun. Dead Space 3: Awakened This is what DS3 should have been, scary tense, creepy, loved what they did with the That was awesome, the ending was also really cool, normally not what I would like, but for a series like this one, it was fitting. Originally meant to finish a second run of base DS3, but I couldn't bring myself to finish it lol, made it to where you're supposed to put the thing back together before giving up. Dead Space: S Dead Space 2: A- Dead Space 3: F Dead Space 3 Awakened: A+
  9. This looks awesome, price will probably be quite high, but still, pretty neat what they have here.
  10. Forgot to post this lol. I guess to promote Unbound, it's 95% Off on Steam.
  11. Secretary of National Security and Defense of Ukraine: In national news, it's leak season! First, after the Supreme Court ordered the cancellation of several arrest warrants against suspects in the Ayotzinapa case (kidnapping and murder of 43 students), classified documents were leaked. These confirmed the involvement of the army and local police in the kidnapping, the army offering to "clean up" some of the bodies, disposing of them in areas inside an army base and more. Most disturbing, the leaks showed text conversations between cartel members during that day, it's hard to describe how disgusting and sickening those texts were, how casually they talk about mutilating the "packages" handing some of them over to other members to be dissolved in acid, etc. To say it's fucked up is a massive understatement. Anyone who is against calling these people monsters needs a reality check, no other term could apply here. Then a hacker group calling themselves Guacamayas hacked the armies of Mexico, Chile, El Salvador, Peru and Colombia. In the information revealed about Mexico... Boy there's a lot, including that the president's health is way worse than he claimed, he's since admitted, though downplayed a fair bit, that he did in fact have to go to the hospital, but claims it wasn't that bad, the leaks mention he's had to undergo emergency procedures a couple of times. It was also revealed that, although the president claimed to be "different" and that his government didn't spy anyone, the government was using the Pegasus spy software to target journalists and human rights activists. The amount of soldiers present in borders, bridges and ports is also there, and it turns out they are severely understaffed everywhere. One of the biggest pet projects of our current president was the cancellation of the new airport and the construction of another, his own, inside a military base, was pushed because the army wants to create not only their own airline, but also a tourism based corporation that handles everything from flights to hotels, tours and more. We've also learned that the army not only knows who the cartel members are, but also where they live, where they go, where they get their weapons (one of these places is right in front of a military base lol), but also knows who their targets are and when AND where they're going to be killed, and yet they do nothing. Also apparently SEDENA (national defense) has Families of Children With Cancer Feminist groups Human Rights Groups On the same threat level as Hezbollah, ISIS and Al Qaeda according to a leaked threat analysis report for the AIFA airport. There's still more that keeps coming up, apparently there are 6TB of data, including documents, emails, texts and more. Also, and this was not a leak, AMLO is not happy about the Nobel Peace Prize, he was hoping he'd win it thanks to his peace plan for Russia and Ukraine, plan which received the following response: Of course, his plan was basically: Russia keeps the territories they've taken. Ukraine apologizes for being so hostile. ????? World Peace! Not surprising that Ukraine wasn't on board lol.
  12. NFS Heat The characters and story are all annoying as hell, the best way to put it, if you've watched the F&F movies, everyone is trying to be a more annoying version of Roman Pearce. The actual racing though, is pretty fun, very NFS, which is to say, very arcadey, been playing with a wheel and honestly, though it is fun, I think this is the kind of racing game that doesn't benefit that much from using one, specially drifting, still don't know how to do that. Kinda more hyped for Unbound now that I've played a bit more of this one. Dead Space 2 Going to try and play through the entire trilogy this month, DS is complete now DS2 is up, thought that I would have a hard time without the Zealot suit and weapon from PS3, but it turns out PC gives you a ton of special suits and weapons, so that's nice. Death Stranding Loving this game more than I thought I ever would, delivering packages is way more fun than you'd think.
