Still going through Wuchang, and was looking at either this or Lies of P, this one was cheaper lol. -
That sounds really cool and nightmarish at the same time.

I was hoping Lies of P would be somewhat unga bunga friendly lol, like how Bloodborne had Ludwig's, Pizza Cutter, Kirkhammer, and other stuff like that.

For me it's been the opposite lol, the fact that parry isn't a core mechanic in Wuchang made it feel like a breath of fresh air. I don't like parrying, I'm not good at it, so not having it is alright by me. Though it's kinda there, in the Long Sword skill tree, you get the deflect skill, not 100% the same though. My main issue is how everything is part of a skill tree, stamina feels too low for me, but if I want to put some points into it, I need to look for the endurance nodes and put points into other nodes until I unlock the endurance one, then finally put some points into that one. I'm also playing Ghost Recon Wildlands, went back to it on PS4, playing it while on the exercise bike, but found that some of the trophies I was going for were bugged (mostly collectible stuff), after learning the only way to fix this was to delete my save and start again, I decided to instead try it on PS5 lol, don't know if it's some setting with the console, the game's compatibility or what, but on PS5 there's some brightness issues, normal gameplay is way too dark, using night vision is way too bright, so mostly just playing during in-game daytime, thankfully it's easy to change the time lol. Hopefully trophies aren't bugged here, otherwise, I think I might try Nioh, or Lies of P, or Lords of the Fallen.

HELL YEAH!! Thought this looked cool, but apparently it's going to be some kind of PvPvE thing(?). First person Soulslike, Cowboy has a 48 minute video of pre-alpha gameplay, looks cool.

What's your favourite game of the year so far.....

Elden Ring Nightreign I do wish it had more cool modifiers and mechanics, but it's still pretty neat as is. Given the amount of stuff they haven't brought over from Elden Ring, I'm looking forward to future updates, adding smithscript weapons would be really fun. -
Games You Beat in 2025: Year of the Backlog

Sekiro After several restarts I finally finished this one lol, every time I played, I would stop for a bit, forget everything and then start again, this time I finally pushed through. Easily my least favourite FROMSOFT game, and it's 100% on me, while I can see why it gets the praise it gets, specially the combat, it is also mostly not for me, I saw mostly because I did really enjoy the stealthy bits, going around a level, tracking enemies, taking them down one by one, running away to lose aggro, all that was cool, it's when you actually have to fight, specially during boss fights, that the whole thing comes crashing down. Doesn't help that unlike other games, Soulsborne or otherwise, every guide for Sekiro is just "git gud" there's no other way lol, no builds, no shortcuts, there's a couple of cheeses (and I did use one for one of the last bosses lol), but mostly, the only advise is just "learn how to play, memorize each attack of each phase, then git gud!" The story, presentation, voice acting (played with JP audio) and music are excellent though. Think I got the bad ending? I have no desire to play through again for the other endings though. The way the final boss fight ends was really cool. \m/ \m/ Some of the bosses were amazing to look at, the design of these things is awesome, even if the actual fights were hell. Except for the visually impressive, but one of, if not the easiest boss in the game. Overall, I'm glad I played it, I can see why people like it so much, but I also don't want to play through it ever again. Grade: B+ -

IMO, Yeah, it's pretty bad, tried to be a Soulslike in the worst way possible lol, still, I enjoyed the other two a lot, so still kinda hyped for this one.

Nightreign is either the easiest or the hardest Soulsborne game to platinum lol. If you have friends who play and can consistently play with a proper team, or even if you can solo some bosses, it's one of the easiest, the one exception, depending on your playstyle, is defeating the last boss with every Nightfarer, some of them, like Recluse are really hard to play properly if you're used to the Unga Bunga playstyle. Playing with randoms can make this one of the hardest plats ever lol, from failed runs to people who ignore (or just don't know how they work) the shifting earth stuff, some bosses are also way harder with multiple people since it makes it super hard to keep track of their attacks. Thankfully you don't need to beat any of the Everdark bosses, those are a huge pain.
