  1. Yayy for working at home. (I say this as I sit with a duvet on my lap)
  2. Why do I feel hungover when I did not drink last night.

One can only dream of such a morning.

CS, stop telling everyone about my morning rituals!

  3. My fault. I suggested it be moved to New Vegas, as the general anti-Kotaku sentiment might be discouraging to people from Kotaku that are looking to join the boards. In the thread I also mentioned the fact that the editors are still not too fond of dean or these boards, and I think he's been trying to reverse on that a bit, but I could be wrong. I know for sure that one of the editors greyed out one of Dean's comments in speakup trying to promote these boards, after I had promoted it. Anyway, that was my reasoning for the suggestion. This thread is pretty similar anyway though, so I don't know.
  4. Well that was a hell of a lot of fun. I'll have to get a mic or something eventually I think.
  5. Down to use this for gaming event communication sometime. I forget my ID though, haven't used Skype in like a year.
  6. Yeahh, that is brutal. Ohh, I should use that in a story sometime.
  7. No thirty feet of snow incoming like in NY?
  8. Rain appears to be incoming today. Hoo-rah!
  9. Oh my gosh, yes! Haha. I was really young and my mom's friend's husband was one a programmer for Sierra Online, so they had all the systems that were out, and I'd beg to go with my mom over there with her and play them since we just had an old Nintendo at that point. I guess I was too young to find out you had to go into the menu and call the airplane. Good memories, though.
  10. This is like nostalgia lane, here. Anyone ever play the Sega Donald Duck platformer? I remember plungers and not being able to get past the first level because I couldn't figure out how to get past a wall.
  11. Oh man. I had a demo of Croc on my computer and I was obsessed, I wanted that game so bad. Something about the shiny looking pickups and (for that time) pretty graphics.
  12. Crash Bandicoot has kind of taken a nosedive since the PS1, yeah?
  13. Still no midweek madness. It's been like, a whole week.
  14. Haa... oops. Also, I vote for this thread to be moved to New Vegas. No offense Goh, but I don't think it's really conducive to bringing in new Kotakuites or reducing the distaste Kotaku editors have for Dean and his associated boards, in case they decide to browse here on one of the #speakup advertised links.
  15. Haha... I was just about to post here and say, "zOMG," and link that. I saw that comment in #speakup last night but was like... nah... And then today I couldn't resist wasting twenty minutes of my life to craft a snarky, thoughtful comment, that will no doubt be lost in the barrage of comments already pages deep. I like that they're pulling stuff out of speakup (even if they started right after I started posting here instead of there /vanity), but seriously, that is a comment/page-hit firestorm.
  16. One of the stories my mom would always tell about my grandma, was how when she was a young girl walking to school, she looked up and saw a billboard for a red, oozing substance known as 'catsup' or 'cat soup' as she interpreted. And then ran home to cry about how unfair and horrible that was to her mother. At which point she learned the alternate spelling of 'ketchup.'
  17. Go Dean! (My procrastination shall feed on you all... eagerly... and without a napkin.)
  18. HOLY CRAP. You did that in a day? My house so sucks compared to yours, and I've been at it for weeks.
  19. Heyy, it's Thursday! Man, a bunch of my old favorite Kotakuites are showing up here now. Personally, I still have no issue with any of the editors or content. I am ambivalent when it comes to Kotaku, but I rarely post on there anymore, though I still check for news there regularly.
  20. Bummer about the bill, but I'm still proud of you, and that's got to count for something, right?
  21. Yeahh... there's so much good pizza in this city, but I've gotten addicted to Domino's. Ironically, because it doesn't wreck my stomach like the real stuff. Not sure how that works.
  22. Well, the idea of having another one just got better with each... That, and I figured I'd order once I'd done a good bit of reading and writing, so it was a while. That Pizza Hut cheese filled crap is horrid, by the way. Nauseating. I hate Pizza Hut. (This my second time I've had Pizza Hut, and my second confirmation. Doh. Stupid advertising.)
  23. Inspired by Dean's status the other day, I ended up craving fish and chips the whoooole day, and so I decided to go check out the seafood restaurant by the park I've never been to before. Ended up drinking 6 hefs on tap which made my bill a joke, but when I finally ordered their battered 'catch of the day' (which was cod) along with their spicy fries and tartar sauce, ohhhhh my gosh. It was. I want it again. (But do not want to pay another $60 bill. Damn beer. I don't think they charged me happy hour prices but I was too drunk to protest.) Tonight I am going to be dual wielding cheap pseudo-pizzas. I ordered a Domino's pepperoni pizza earlier (which took an hour to come and was cold once it got here!) and have half left. Then I saw an add for a 'cheese stuffed crust' from pizza hut and am gonna order that for comparison and why-not's sake. Because my 'eating peas and running/exercising' thing is apparently in remission today, thanks to this hangover.
