I got my Beta invite today and played a little. It looks a lot better windowed, and fullscreen is severely buggy (video glitches on loading and then no cursor on the main menu), but then you can't see crap for aiming at distant enemies. Character models are really crappy. The interface is pretty crappy and and buggy at the moment. It's kind of fun, but I see no point to play it if you have BC2, particularly the excellent Vietnam. Maybe if they improve this a bunch after it's been released for a while it will be worth playing, but ehh.

Yeahh... I'm tempted to get a DS eventually, 3DS in particular, but only after a year or so once the price has dipped/I catch a sale.

I suppose it's possible. The most worrisome rumor I've heard is that equipment has been severely nerfed, so there are no armor pieces besides belts (belts are confirmed, due to the Penny-Arcade item). That would be extreme balls, as I love managing armor pieces. Still, even if that turns out to be true, I'm optimistic for the game in general.

This is damn tricky. I've never been good with the bones of grammar, but they would be helpful here. A silly one: Father, then child, came by surprise.

Laundrehh and house cleaning. It sucks. Afterward I'd like to try and put some time into beating Uncharted 1, playing some Minecraft with a friend or drinking a few beers whilst catching up on the forum and doing some writing-editing.

I freaking love this song. Elbow is such a hit or miss band - they have some tracks I can't listen to, but the songs that hit, hit heard. I still think Red has one of the prettiest choruses out there. The song below is from the solo work of the singer of Veto, and excellent Danish (I believe) band. I love this one the most. It really sets a very particular atmosphere. The story doesn't tell too much, if you know what I mean. It's just right.

Oh god I had a terrifying dream. My ex-roommate invited me over or something to make amends, but then these two shady characters dropped in and were being very shady and then I was followed and security-guard-fakes that were robbing the place (?) began shooting at me and I hid in a place I had hollowed out in minecraft that had lava and AHHHH STUFF. Also, Raine, you've been playing too much Uncharted 2, this is my analysis.

I'm going to go back to sleep, but when I get up again, I'm down to play some more.

Online? Because you should totes add us and visit the Uncharted 2 thread in Event Planning. TAY is unbeatable when it comes to Plunder, and we have a few star players when it comes to Deathmatches. Hahahaa. I totally read that as the band, not Uncharted 2.

kk, hijacking the thread. these are from facebook notes (yep, I was that guy poastin poetry on facebook, but I only did it like three times), posting the two outta three I like more along with the pictures I had put the notes at the time. the other one I like on and off so meh, not poastin that. the first is one of the few poems I've written that I happen to like very much. I would take pictures. ink blot miracle.

Ohhhh, I love that first one. "blue-eyed Death" - brilliant Excellent tone, pace and finish. It's like a good shot of whiskey! I think I'm getting inspired to start writing short bits like this again and post them here. I've still got some work to wrap up, so I'm gonna try and concentrate on that and come back to this thread later and read over the longer one then.
