Drones eventually gained a little more power, but they still sucked because they still couldn't land enough hits on anyone. I swear, getting those drone specific badges was one of the toughest because of how lame they were.

I use to do that, but I eventually found myself playing with a lot of clever players because once they were killed once by C4, they knew to look out for it. The C4 would detonate and the player would rush in before I could turn around. There was one match I had where me and another guy were seeing who could get the most C4 kills. Placing them on all kinds of surfaces and reinventing our strategy all for the sake of gaining one vantage point.

The sniper is technically the Scout class so that's why you could scan the environment for enemies. Scanning would tag enemies close by and display them on all your teammates' radar/mini-map. I eventually became a great sniper, but I had to wait until I unlocked the magnum sidearm. There's no way I would use that class without packing that two-shot killer. I mean, you have the lowest health, so a lot of the times I would choose Boost as my secondary skill to heal and get the hell out of somewhere. Speaking of Boost, the Assault class was such a bitch. Early in the game that class was so unbalanced. I mean, you're suppose to be the slowest because you use heavy artillery weapons, but Boost would make you the fastest thing on the field with rockets! Eventually the class gained more balance thanks to some patches, but man I almost stopped playing online from all the online matches featuring 3/4 of Assault players. I still remember one match where everyone got into a rocket orgy on the smallest level.

I don't hate Apple, but I loathe the perception that Macs are the everyman computing device because they're "so easy." If you struggle with a PC, you'll have a hard time with a Mac as well. They're not fanboys, but most people around campus with Macs don't know jack about networking and computers. I've learned to keep quiet if I ever experience a problem because I always get the response, "Shoulda got a Mac." I usually follow up by asking how a Mac would solve my problem, and I always get, "I dunno, it would just work." Depending if my career asks for it, I'll get myself a Mac Mini, but I'm not going to get an overpriced MacBook Pro. My $720 HP Pavilion does everything my roommate's $2000 MacBook Pro is capable of. Still, I would have to blame the campus bookstore rather than the consumers. About three quarters of the computers and devices are from Apple. Anyway, on topic, if I'm a fanboy of anything it's FLCL. I really like everything else I own, but if I could only keep one series/game from my collection, I would keep my FLCL Ultimate Edition box set.

Without Nintendo I wouldn't have gone into gaming. There will always be a soft spot in my heart because of the Game Boy. Truth be told it's the one console I willingly spend money on. Need a second controller? Sure. A component cable for the HDTV? Why not! I have a PS3, but I'm always hesitant to get something for it. Still have one controller even with a few multi games. Really there's just the Blu-ray remote, but I've got all kinds of controllers for my Wii. Heck, my favorite series are of Nintendo origin, though I do enjoy others as well.

Games that you hate that everyone else seems to like

There's a good amount of skill, it's just that there is a strong luck factor thanks to all the items. If it was all chance, I probably wouldn't place first 9/10 whenever I place with local friends. I mean sure there are times where I get my butt handed to me thanks to a series of items and obstacles, but its in the name of fun. -
Wait, WTF is with the animals growing gigantic breasts?!

I almost always have lucid dreams, it's actually rare for me to be a viewer of my own dreams. I think that's why I remember a lot of dreams. That and some dreams have been really trippy and disturbing. One I remember most is back when I was ten-years-old, I had a dream where my mother was a shape-shifting velociraptor. Only my father knew and he was tricked into marrying her as he didn't know until the honeymoon. Because I found out, my raptor-mother wasn't very trusting of me to keep the secret so she would threaten to eat me and everyone I knew. I guess I pissed her off and she started chasing me. The dream ends, or so I thought! I began having multiple dreams because my dresser drawer began shaking. When I opened it, a velociraptor head popped out to eat my face! I wake up again, but a velociraptor runs into my bedroom! When I really woke up, I wasn't sure until nothing happened for a few minutes.

I just remembered the one time I flipped out over a spider. Like I said, I don't really freak out over bugs, but there are scenarios where I'm screaming like a murder victim. It was at my grandparents' home, and keep note that they have a large garden in the backyard. This will usually attract all kinds of wildlife, but mostly insects. They don't always stay out in the backyard, but will make the home their habitat. One morning I was walking outside the front walkway and there was a tug on the palm of my hand. I didn't think much of it at first, that is until something filled the palm of my hand. I looked down and there was a giant red spider, and as I was caught off guard, I began to drop F-Bombs ferociously. I threw it to the ground and stomped on it. I swear, it was like I stepped on a packet of 1000 Island dressing as pink goo splatted everywhere. I'm still swearing, and I'm saying a lot of colorful words. I mean... the whole neighborhood could hear me. My mother is embarrassed, but for the most part my grandparents wanted me to stop acting like a pansy and hose off their walkway.

Games that you hate that everyone else seems to like

I can't say I hate too many games, but what doesn't help is when people gush over a certain one and foam at the mouth for me to try it. At first I didn't care for Fallout 3 because my best friend would bug me about getting it. Though to be far, I would do the same to him as well. It's the general "OMG, try this" that usually puts me off to a game. In my own time I may find it and enjoy it, but that's up to me and no one else. I think that's the main reason why I haven't given Uncharted a chance, that there's so much gushing over the series. -
Backing up and restoring a harddrive takes FOREVER!

I upgraded my PS3, and while it's not the largest and fastest, I figure I'm not going to take up an extra 170GB in a couple years.

Same here. I played it a lot back in my community college days, back when there was barely any homework. Now I'm only taking one class in college, so aside from work, I'll have as much time to play online.

I was fine with it too. Not to necessarily point any fingers, but back in KZ2's prime, I noticed a lot of the complaining came from Call of Duty players. Even with the patch there still was complaining. Haters gonna hate, I tell ya.

When I lived with my sister in her basement apartment, we would get all kinds of bugs down there. Earwigs prefer damp environments, so you might get some in the bath tub or maybe on your towels. No matter how many times you drown them, they'll crawl back up the drain hole. I visit my sis every now and then. There was one night where a wolf spider darted across the living room carpet. I gave it a good hit right before it touched my leg. See, I'm not so much freaked out by bugs, it's the squishing and crushing that gets to me. Well, actually, flying insects freak me out a bit too. It's the sound that makes my spine crawl. Other than her place, I once lived in a town house that had a few hobo spiders. By the time I got hobo spider traps, we never saw another one. Once had a sowbug killer when I was packing up, but those are harmless.

That's it, first LBP2 Expansion Pack will be Kevin Butler.

No, but from what I've heard, the Multi alone is worth a purchase.

I mainly go to burger joints if I'm thinking of eating fast food. If I want a sandwich, I can make one at home. Cafe Rio is great Mexican, but it's always busy and it's more so dining food than fast food. Chick-fil-A is good, but the only one around is in the mall. I can't handle Arby's anymore, and the only good Chinese restaurant I've dined at is back home.

That episode was on a few days ago. It had Lars from Metallica waiting a month for his golden statue, Brittney Spears having to use an older model of a private jet, and I forget the rapper, but he was going to give his son a private island for his birthday. Anyway, onto my statements. I don't see how I'm being a hypocrite. Maybe if the songs I use to have were retail soundtracks, yes, I would see the hypocrisy. Perhaps it's copyright infringement, but from how I've seen it for almost an entire decade, the industry doesn't seem to care about video game music being used in such a manner. After all, you can go onto YouTube and find multiple videos using said songs simply to play the song for viewers. Heck, how about sites where musicians remix video game music? You've got to think, why would I even have these songs in the first place? The strongest possibility is because I have purchased the original work, a.k.a. the video game. If I have the Windmill Hut loop on my music player, it's because when I was playing Ocarina of Time I came to like it. Same thing with Tetris Type A, because when I played Tetris I loved the theme. Truth be told, I think some games can't be bothered to offer a retail soundtrack. After all, is there a large demand for such a product? Usually owning the game alone is enough for a consumer, if I'm not mistaken. That's where the real money is, but if you have something like Halo or GTA, you have the chance to gain a little extra revenue from releasing a couple CDs. Either way you view it, I'm technically not a hypocrite. Before you begin a counter argument, know that all my video game music was lost in 2006 when the family PC crashed. I can't be bothered to download any of those songs again as the site I used has become a large mess. I've regained some music I lost, but that would be thanks to online shopping and FYE. That's what can make a difference: your local retailer. Large retail chains like Best Buy or Target are not going to carry, for example, a wide selection of anime and music. If it weren't for Hastings or FYE, I would probably be labeled as a pirate because I might have a illegal copy of FLCL OST 3, or any of my Gurren Lagann volumes (not the current volumes, the old ones)! EDIT: Heck, this whole entire time I've been saying "songs" and "soundtrack" when in actually the best label you could give my once-possessed media was "MIDI loop." I can't really say those would make for a strong soundtrack album...

Favorite Hazard? That sounds like an oxymoron! Um, maybe ReDead or Wallmasters from Legend of Zelda. It's always intense when you're avoiding them. My least favorite would have to be the hawks in Ninja Gaiden. Yeah, I know they're an "enemy," but all a hawk does is make you fall when you're in the middle of a jump.

All the more reason we should have more video game soundtracks! It seems that honor is only given to Grand Theft Auto and Halo. The only real video game soundtrack I have is the orchestral Super Smash Bros. Melee soundtrack that came in Nintendo Power. So if you justify pirating game OSTs without a retail release because there should be more, does someone pirating SecuROM and Ubisoft DRM games to prove a point also have a justification? That kinda seems like apples and oranges, don'cha think? On one hand, I obtained some audio tracks that were never soundtrack pieces, i.e. Tetris Type A. With SecuROM and Ubisoft DRM, well, they're still games that have a retail value. Just saying, I'm not fully aware if I can actually get in trouble for downloading songs that have no presence on any retail market. Heck, I even checked FYE yesterday to see if they had any other video game soundtracks aside from GTA and Halo. While I found dozens of anime soundtracks, it was as I thought: GTA and Halo. Anyway, I can't help but think of Penny Arcade's take on DRM and piracy. If I may use another analogy, that whole ordeal is like something out of grade school. Say Ubisoft is the teacher and the students are the consumers. Well, obviously you'll have your troublemakers and so those will be the pirates. As a teacher, it's in your best interest to stop the troublemakers(pirates) from causing trouble(piracy). If left alone, the rest of the class may begin to act up and cause trouble themselves due to the lack of authority and/or discipline. However, there are different methods that attempt to correct such behavior. With the "current methods," the rest of the class is feeling punished as well. Why is it that they have to suffer when it's the troublemakers who are responsible. I mean, look at them! They don't even seemed phased by the punishment. It's through this that while the teacher may have wanted to maintain a stable classroom(business), it's resulting in the entire classroom to murmur and view the teacher in a negative light. TL;DR A company shouldn't be faulted for attempting to prevent piracy, but pirates are gonna pirate. There should be a practical balance and transition in improving anti-piracy technology so that those who follow the rules, a.k.a. "pay," should not feel punished/hindered. EDIT: As far as proving a point... I dunno, do you believe lying to prove someone is a liar to be morally correct? I can understand the logic of doing something illegal to improve on performance, i.e. white hat hackers. If you're going to pirate a game to say, "Hey, I still pirated your game with all that DRM crap," to me that furthers the reasoning to create tougher DRM. I mean, they'll still view it as someone pirating their game, just like a white hat hacker hacked into a network.

Looking at my movies right now, I've got a lot of animation and [super]hero films.

I'm not confident in the third option because it's asking for lifestyle change. Some will be able to make the transition, but on a national or global scale, I think that's almost like the cultural equivalent of crust displacement: rough and sudden. Perhaps our technology may not be enough, but I would say it's acting as a fine padding till we do fine sustainable alternatives. Nuclear fusion may be the answer, but from my understanding, the fusion process is requiring a lot of energy to even experiment upon.

I'm so glad to have Netflix. I've seen almost all of those Direct-to-Disc DC Universe movies. Sure I could get them dirt cheap on Amazon, but most of the time I watch these types of movies just once. It's in HD; I mean c'mon!

I happened to spot this at Best Buy today. Personally, I'm catching up on my MST3K with Netflix. As for me, I got: Wii Component Cable Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs Blu-ray+DVD ($15!) $20 PSN FLCL OST 3 I had a gift card for Christmas, so I made some impulse purchases. I don't know if the component cables will do much, but it's not my money! I've been passing up Cloudy for a long time, and I mean I really enjoyed the movie in theater! Went ahead with a PSN card as that's the only good way to use a gift card on PSN. I spent a good amount thinking about the FLCL soundtrack actually. There are three in total, but the third one is kinda a "best of" soundtrack. I didn't want repeats, but if I only went along with the third, I'd miss out on some of the music. So yeah, I went with the third because I really only spent time listening to those tracks for the show.
