  1. I loved the focus of it compared to the first game. A few sandbox areas would have been nice but IMO it works better in multiplayer. "Linear as fuck" only applies to how you navigate it through it, not how you play it. Also, while the second half definitely wasn't as good once it got all alieny like the first game, it was still loads better than the second half of the first.
  2. I feel bad for Crytek. They've moved in the right direction with Crysis 2's single player, then the wrong way with its multiplayer. They've got a really great engine that works on everything... they just need to focus on making a kickass all around game for it.
  3. I have no idea how to use like 3/4ths of the functions here. Shit isn't very user-friendly/obvious.
  4. From Dust is a decent game, I just can't bring myself to support Ubisoft in any way now. AC2 was the last game I bought from them.
  5. Ha, wait, I guess Bastion goes in here for me!
  6. One thing those systems need is pre-made loadouts for people like you. It'd be so much easier. Though I do remember both FF12 and DA:O doing enough to get you by, though not enough to deal with a dragon or anything. Anyways, I finished Bastion last night. I went with both of my choices being the ones on the right side of the screen. Not going to bother wtih NG+. Fun game, but feels bit too repetitive.
  7. Weed smells delicious. I don't even smoke weed and I think that. Cigarette smoke is much more noxious.
  8. That's what you get for buying it on Steam instead of GoG!
  9. I don't think that comparison exists... because it only runs at 720p on consoles.
  10. I used the full name before shortening it! But yes, that's it. Dropbox is great. Easy to use. Also, if you sign up, use a referral from me! http://db.tt/2TIadOq
  11. Depends on the game. But try using GameSave Manager and see if it can make things easy for you. Personally, I've had success with transferring stuff from an external to my internal the once or two I've re-formatted my computer. You just have to remember where the files are located. I didn't like GSM when I used it ages ago, but now it seems to be great. PXOD did a write-up on it recently which reminded me about it.
  12. Are the Skyrim mod tools even out yet? Shit will get really crazy once that happens. Anyways, I'm going to start playing New Vegas again soon and finish up the DLC, so I'll keep you posted on what mods I'm using. I probably need to go back and get the newer versions of all of them. Also, some graphical mods will be preference. As in, if you like night to be REALLY dark, if you want the game to look more "clear", stuff like that. I'm definitely going to use this mod that was just released: http://www.nma-fallout.com/article.php?id=60505 . It was created by one of the devs and looks to me to be perfect for those of us who thought the game was too damn easy. All of the changes seem to be "New Vegas if we didn't have to make it accessible for everyone."
  13. When's the last time you played it on a console? I was playing it literally in the same room as someone who was playing it on console and it looked fucking terrible in comparison.
  14. It looks a lot better, especially with mods.
  15. You can pause updates. Sounds like you've just been unlucky. You're one of the small number of people who runs into these issues vs the millions who Steam works great for.
  16. You should clarify that you mean "pirated" when you say "dl'ed." You download stuff from Steam, too.
  17. It's also one of the only ones that makes sense to pirate considering it actually has a good single player.
  18. Anybody want my 50% off Fallout Collection?
  19. Yes, the second half is not as well put together. Uncharted 2 is the one with the incredible pacing. Probably the best pacing I can think of for a game.
  20. http://whirrband.bandcamp.com/album/distressor Still in love with this shoegaze EP
  21. Question about New Vegas: I can't use the fan patches with the Steam version, but I can use mods, correct? Considering going straight and getting it on the Steam sale.

      Mr. GOH!

Maybe, but I am not sure.

Isn't NV a steamworks game? Doesn't that make the steam version the only version? Would be weird if fan patches didn't work with it.

I imagine it should be fine as long as you set the game to not update and never verify the file integrity to prevent steam from redownloading the original files. Should probably do some googling or check the steam forums to be sure, though.

Yeah New Vegas is Steam regardless. The only other version is a cracked n pirated one.

  22. Eh, might as well just create a last.fm bro. Anyways, listening to one of my favorite albums of the year: http://soundcloud.com/mexicansummer/sets/oneohtrix-point-never-replica
  23. Wait, achievements? That's a whole different discussion entirely.
