  1. It won't get deleted from your hard drive if the server gets turned off, either. And good luck doing a backup of a physical object.
  2. *uses phoenix down on thread* I started and finished Lockstep by Karl Schroeder this past week. Excellent book that gets around the impossibility of faster-than-light travel with a concept that builds a very interesting universe for a series. Hopefully he continues writing in this world he's created. This story is very self-contained but there's endless potential here for other characters.
  3. That is quite the busy cover. I wonder how it would look without the keyblades?
  4. I view any anti-DLC viewpoint as incredibly ignorant. Brood War was the best DLC of all time. It just came on a disk at first. I've never had a game ruined or felt incomplete because something was only in the DLC.
  5. I can see you're one of those old guard members on the forum who likes to make the new members feel welcome and encourages them to post, enriching the community and making for a friendly environment all round... Sorry, but I don't baby anyone, nor do I think anyone deserves any special treatment. This is completely off-topic, btw, so take it elsewhere if you wish to complain. To get back on topic my point is completely valid. Killing yourself is easy. Killing others is easy. There's a million ways to do each. The classic saying "Guns don't kill people, people do" is very valid.
  6. http://pitchfork.com/advance/492-the-next-four-years/ The new United Nations album. Not much Geoff Rickley this time around but this is still really intense and sarcastic as ever. I guess Geoff was too busy forming No Devotion with the ex-members of Lostprophets.
  7. What a crock of shit. There's plenty of things you can kill yourself with pretty easily. Mind you, guns are certainly up there, but so are pills. Both have a chance to go wrong as well.
  8. They're famous because they spent their life doing something productive. Games are a hobby, not a job.
  9. So glad I don't live in the American south, it's this kind of thing that would push me to violence; and with guns legal over there I'd have surely killed someone by now. Criminals who aren't allowed to own guns have guns. The legality isn't the issue.
  10. This seems like something that should be discussed in the general thread.
  11. Look into your Nova settings.
  12. The locations settings changed with 4.3, not KitKat. I much prefer this system, provided Samsung hasn't royally fucked it up on their phones.
  13. tortoise, squarepusher, digitlaism, 2chainz, kid cudi, nas, puiblic eneemy, the cool kids, wu tang clan, vampire weekend, curtis mayfield certainly not a bad selection. though the "punk" section is a bit of joke on the list I saw.
  14. Kind of funny when I get a warning for being "abusive" when I barely post and I'm extremely sarcastic when I do. I have no idea what post even got moderated. That should tell you something.

"uwotm8s" I struggle saying that in my head. I know what its supposed to sound like but I can't do it without saying it out loud.

so I'm like the only one who didn't / doesn't have a problem with her (Patricia/Brida)? still follow her on the twittas and have her on my xbl flist.

Well, I never really interacted with her all that much. So, it's not like I could really have a personal issue with her or anything.

  15. Singer is shite and this is horrible viral marketing for a very far off project
  16. You probably got pushed to KitKat or something. I find it hilarious that you're pissed off you're on a newer, better, more up-to-date version of the software. In fact, if it is KitKat, it should run better.
  17. That's another good way to think of it. I get behind this.
  18. Please don't post worthless teaser viral marketing bullshit like this. Be above it.
  19. You're misusing the word "all." The "actual" game is also the whole experience, dumbass. Unless there's somehow a game that is separate from what you were playing. Considering you don't work for the company that developed the game you can't break the experience into such parts.
  20. It's a Disney adaption of something Marvel that is heavy on the adaptation aspect. IMO it doesn't fit.
  21. I really don't get people who can't evaluate things based on the whole experience you get while playing it.
  22. Huh? It uses function keys for that just like a laptop. That keyboard isn't daily driver anyway IMO. It's main use would be for TV setups.
  23. "and supposing Marvel Studios delivers a compelling Fillion Nova, they’ll easily claim masses." I don't think this website really understands how niche Fillion is.
  24. It's the whole idea that you're playing the minimap rather than playing the game. Everyone views immersion differently. Some people seem to have no middle ground where the only way a game is totally immersive is if there's absolutely nothing "video game" like going on at all. I'm of the belief that a game is still immersive when you realize it's a game and certain things will only make sense because you're playing a game. The minimap is one of those things that breaks it in a lot of games. I prefer the subtle things like having a point glow off in the distance rather than a giant arrow leading you the way. I think that design wise trying to get rid of healthbars and stuff is a good idea but we still rely on too many other things that could likely go away as well. Which is why I love that this has always been customizable in the AC games.
