I don't code. I do open a lot of tabs. Here's today's catastrophic issue. I don't think 3 letters showing on the tab breaks my NDA.
-
Oh that's not too different then. I've been on the bus in Seattle, NYC, and San Francisco and the way it worked is you would get off at a stop by pulling a wire/pressing a button that indicates to the bus driver someone wants to get off on the bus stop. There is no price difference based on distance (unless you're going outside of a certain zone.)

You tell them the destination? Do they not run on routes? So it's like... a big cab?

What are you listening to now?

http://www.npr.org/2013/10/06/228840821/first-listen-tim-hecker-virgins The new Tim Hecker. Quite frankly it's amazing. I'd say this is right up there with Haunt Me, Haunt Me Do It Again & Ravedeath, 1972 -
My work setup currently: Rotating wallpapers on each monitor. I flip the left side down for gaming. But man it's really nice to use websites and my work stuff with a vertical monitor. Oh and I put the taskbar on the bottom in this mode because it feels too far away on the top and horizontal space becomes a premium when the monitor is vertical.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236116 Got this second hand from a friend for $125. My current 1080p monitor has PS3 duty and this 1440x900 Gateway one is way too much of a piece of shit to use as a primary monitor in its place so I have this. I plan on buying a TV next month so I'll get rid of the Gateway at that point. 3 monitors seems like it would be overkill. Maybe I'll wall mount it or something... Also this: I actually bought a shitty PSU at Best Buy that I'm returning this week. I ordered this on Thursday or Friday and it's already here. I love Newegg. It was also $15 cheaper today so I emailed customer service this morning and they already responded and gave me $15 newegg credit. That's all for new computer stuff for now. Expensive month but this also means that I'm not buying anything for a while which is nice to have it all taken care of even if I wasn't really planning to so fast.

Games You've Beat in 2013
Faiblesse Des Sens replied to TheMightyEthan's topic in General Gaming Chat
Thirty Flights of Loving. Fun, cool little short game. I can't even image what a fully fleshed out game like that would be like. Noir and surreal at the same time. -
My preferred method of this is a counter that appears when you're near the limit that then shows how many characters you are over the limit.
-
Yeah, but if they did? Also, do you really think nothing of their Nvidia deal? Nvidia has plenty to gain by giving them lower prices. Also they are making their own case so arguably they are a hardware manufacturer now.
-
I thought one of the patches already improved that?
-
Seems kind of pointless to mention the cost of only these 300 units considering they're free. The rest of us are thinking in terms of if any of them actually came to market. We have no idea what they've worked with Nvidia though.
-
I know you don't meant it as an insult. It's just very far off the mark.
-
... You might want to take a step back and go to the start of this game's coverage.
-
I'd also note that they seem to have struck a deal with Nvidia, too.
-
Because you said this: Also you weren't talking about the titan when you brought up a specific price: I Newegg'd the components and it was much cheaper than that. It's a new OS and a new controller. It needs real world testing as far as I can tell. I do believe that Valve themselves have said that they value real-world testing very much. They also probably want to see how much people like their hardware packages.
-
i7s and Titans are as high end as you get so they are diving in with the highest specs they can think of. And no that build would be about $700 and not $900-$1400. That's ridiculous. You are making a claim about their beta testing.
-
That's the build for the test run. Not for anything else. And all of those components together are not $900 unless they're using top of the line everything. Drop a few hundred off of that. ...did you miss the part about the i7s and titans? Perhaps that's what they're doing with this i3 build? Valve is a mysterious company. Don't claim to know why they're doing things or what's best for them.
-
Deanb, apparently you missed the part where this is their high-end build, and there will be plenty of other options.
-
Just looked it up and you are correct. Perhaps they use a different PSU in that model? Or maybe 450w when it's that highly rated works.
-
I'd say that basically 50% a new game is worth having to use Capsule considering this is a game I will actually play as each episode comes out like I did with The Walking Dead.
-
When you convert like any of these formats they turn to shit, too.
-
How much would this cost to build yourself? Considering a Titan and an i3 is involved the cost difference between all of the components is hundreds and hundreds of dollars. There's a company in Oregon who sells something like what they're describing for like $2500 for the top of the line. I can't remember their name but I'm sure their builds are a big influence on Valve.

Epub can be DRM-free and works across a bunch of shit. B&N uses the DRM version. Btw, besides the Nook e-ink readers where you can't use Amazon stuff, what about Sony and Kobo e-ink readers?

+ inside That's a Gigaybte 990FX motherboard with some stupid other name attached onto it. The procesor is an FX 8350. Both of these I bought from my friend along with 8GB of RAM. He gave me a deal based on current Newegg prices which I really can't complain about. The case I bought on my own. Would have went with windowless but the windowed one was $40 cheaper due to free shipping + a coupon. It's a really nice case. I love the cable management. It's big but it's not Xbox huge. I think I'm going to switch the side of the desk that it's on though so it looks better in the room. Right now it sticks out a bit.
-
Yeah, I knew that. But I feel like complaining that Amazon's DRM prevents you from using the book on a Nook is like complaining that Steam's DRM doesn't permit you to run the game through Origin. ...which actually is an issue and why I always talk up GoG and Humble Store and the like.
