  1. For the e-ink readers you have to root it and install a regular version of Android and then do it. Which means losing all of the battery life benefits of the device. If the files are DRM free (like when you pirate!) it's incredibly easy to put them onto the device.
  2. So how do I hook up my Nook to my Kindle account again?
  3. Yeah, but you're accessing them through the Kindle app every time, right?
  4. That's my issue but I don't buy too many for it to be an issue. Like with comics there aren't good DRM-free options unless it's through the author themselves. For books you can get some ancient stuff but not much else.
  5. Probably no e-reader. I can't imagine reading them on anything else.
  6. Both the PS4 and Xbox One controllers are improvements. PS4 apparently worked right away when plugging it into a computer according to some indie dev. I definitely saw indie devs using the controller at PAX for PC setups.
  7. So I got all of my new computer stuff... almost setup. My PSU doesn't have long enough cords to reach both the GPU and the CPU. Are there extenders I can buy at Radioshack or am I buying my PSU upgrade early?

Before I go I'm going to take a picture of all of the existing connectors. I think there's 2 sixes, and these have an extra 2 attached, then another cable is split into 4 and 4. Ideally I extend the 4x4 to the CPU and then I'm done with it.

Yeah, good idea. I had similar issues with molex cables before.

  8. While this wasn't part of the 50% off Amazon SSD sale (which was mostly what looked to be like not top-tier SSDs that they expected to be replaced by newer models, but still some good ones in there if anyone is curious and doesn't want to go top of the line) it was on sale at the price point I wanted. My other new computer stuff will be posted once I get it all together.
  9. Thanks. Check the purchase thread.
  10. Hmmm... that Kingston has much slower random read/writes but is also cheaper. Is that what really determines (or is a big part of) if a SSD is good or not? If so the Samsung 840 Pro is edging ahead.
  11. I'm getting tons of other new stuff (there will be a future post in the purchases thread) so I'm thinking I can wait on a SSD while I'm still excited about my other upgrades. Either way everyone I know who has used one raves about it.
  12. I started SSD shopping last night and I narrowed my choices down to these 2, one which should be an obvious choice for being in the running: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233311 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147193 The Corsair has higher sequential read/write and a higher MTBF which I've heard doesn't matter much anymore at this point anyways. The Samsung has a higher random read but the write is the same. Any other differences to take a note of? I've never bought a SSD before. Any other suggestions in that GB range?
  13. I'm simply pointing out that omission of information and a plothole are two different things. You're using one word to describe something else. A plothole would be if the grey matter stuff was revealed but then Walt acted completely different than how he should have based on the events or if it was forgotten about.
  14. @Vecha. Nothing you said makes it a plot hole. You probably think a game being unpopular is the same as it being underrated, too.
  15. Rosewill is priced like cheap Chinese shit but is certainly better quality.
  16. People accidentally buying this because it looks like MC on the cover is nothing but a good thing.
  17. How is that a plothole? A plothole and something that isn't fully explained are two different things. A plothole is something that doesn't make sense.
  18. Ultimately it looks like the Grey Matter stuff didn't really matter. Walt isn't stupid. He reacts emotionally to things at first but in the long run he thinks things out a lot more. So he likely just thought about why they would say that on TV and then figured out the best use of them which was to not kill them or bring up anything like that.
  19. Wait is this just a router? I have the same one.
  20. It sounds like it has both. I have a feeling we're going to hear a lot of independent developers talk about this over the next few days.
  21. Okay so the trackpads are kind of like how I was picturing it. Hearing the uses for the haptic feedback is interesting though. That's a lot harder to imagine for me.
  22. IDK... I'm picturing using it and it does seem like it could possibly have a lot more precision than sticks. No d-pad is a bummer but that's not exactly a shining point of the 360 pad, either.
  23. Hahaha. You're right. They left that off. Perhaps this guy is so pro they don't jump?
  24. Going to Kotaku for the comments has been a mistake for several years now.
