Games You've Beat in 2013
Faiblesse Des Sens replied to TheMightyEthan's topic in General Gaming Chat
It's in the weekly bundle from the let's play guy and not the Humble Origin Bundle. -
That's a sunset away from being a Tumblr post.
-
Just checked and it looks like it's purely free to play and they're banking on IAPs for profits.
-
...isn't it free to play?
-
Hmm. That's Geralt showing a lot more morality than normal.
-
I like that but it's pricey and a full tower. I'd definitely black out the logo.
-
Bill Willingham writes all of it except for the spin-offs. Essentially the ones who created the series always stay in charge on lines like Vertigo.
-
I'm not a manchild. I don't want my PC to be a conversation piece.
-
Are you trying to say that square black box is a bad thing? Do you think the transformers toy you bought actually looks good?
-
Looking back on Fables I enjoyed it but it's really not all that amazing/legendary/that sort of level. It really should have ended at some point instead of turning into a cash cow but apparently there's no clear direction Bill Willingham wants to take it besides to the bank. Either way it's fun enough so I'll likely be getting this as I did like their work on The Walking Dead.
-
Give them away! Anyone want the Origin versions of the games available on Steam?
-
I'm no expert on power supplies but buying a quality brand seems pretty important for something that's powering everything in your computer. I've had one die (burn out, specifically) and it's not a fun experience.
-
I think the $20-30 premium is worth it for not having something like that looks like a toy and is made of plastic.
-
The comments on the Kickstarter post are disgusting. The video game community does not paint a good image of itself. These people seem to think that Kickstarter only has video games on it.
-
Oh 100% goes to charity? I didn't even know that and gave them 0% anyways. This is a ploy to get people into the Origin eco-system of course. We'll see how it works out for them.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352020 Good looking cases aren't expensive. Fractal Design has a lot of good looking, well priced, non-ricer/'gamer" cases.
-
That is fucking atrocious.
-
That is one ugly case. I like what's inside it though.
-
Hmm... we're still looking at 6 months there, vs. 1-3 if it comes out during the fall.
-
LA Noire wasn't made by Rockstar if that's what you mean with that example.
-
That's not what we're talking about. We're talking about downloading the game several days before it comes out and then decrypting it at release which is what Steam does.
-
What about Rare? No, kidding, I know why they didn't even get a mention... RIP in peace Rare.

I picked up Escher-esque The Bridge which is Steam price-matched on Amazon. Why Amazon? The dev: Anyways I've bought stuff from Amazon before but I don't remember the downloads having such poor directions. "Enter this code when prompted in-game." What they actually mean is "Activate this product via Steam."
-
The Bridge is on sale for 60% on Steam. I emailed the dev about price-matching it via the Humble Store and he said this: "The Steam sale today was planned on very short notice, and unfortunately by the time I get in contact with the folks at the Humble Store it'd be too late for the discount anyway. Regardless, all that the Humble Store sells is a Steam key (that's our only distribution option at the moment). One note is that it's also available on Amazon for 60%, which has the same distributor-to-developer profit split as the Humble Store if you're interested in that option: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CHRFL6C/ref=hy-tab2-dvg-bridge?pf_rd_p=1593428602 Thanks, Ty" So huh, Amazon has a better distributor-to-developer profit split than Steam? Interesting. We know it's 5% for the Humble Store.

I'd root it just to remove the bloatware but keep all of the apps you won't be able to use on a non-Touchwiz based ROM. Though that is a fairly popular phone so I'm sure there are ROMs that are like that already. On my EVO 3D I tried out a few "Sense-less" ROMs where they removed every bit of HTC Sense that they could but it was still based on the Sense ROM rather than AOSP or CyanogenMod.
