I'm not sure how a slider would work for the Souls games besides giving you ridiculous amounts of health and making the bosses die in five hits. By design I don't think it would work any other way.

Well there is t-mobile where you just pay off the phone as you go. Compared to the new plans from ATT & Verizon where you end up owning the phone by the end but you pay for the cost of the phone AND the subsidized price. Total ripoff that's just trying to take advantage of what T-Mobile is doing.

The playing field is becoming more level in terms of service and what is offered by each carrier. So you'll be stuck with whatever you have now when a better, cheaper option could pop up. Also if you're on Verizon then you're also forfeiting phone selection for the next 2 years.

An iPhone 5 on sale is still going to be more expensive than a Nexus 4. The iPhone 5 is nearly double the cost of a N4.

Well the choices are certainly broad in appeal and not niche. For most people that's going to be a plus since it's appealing to most people. It would be pretty insane if you could choose what games you wanted. I guess that's almost to the point of having a subscription service ala OnLive/Gaikai.
