  1. It's still extremely reverb heavy and obviously not what the guy would sound like live. Just two ways to approach vocal production and neither are styles that come close to sounding like the real thing.
  2. For all of AC1s faults you actually did feel like an assassin in that.
  3. Sorry, I think I was still drunk at that point. I was just talking about how the traditional has been around longer so they're more apt to follow it and customers are less likely to like change. Or something.
  4. Stuff like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot Also just the fact that there's much history means that there's a lot of people who you can afford who are used to one thing but you want to try something else. @Waldorf Sapporo is terrible. It's Japan's piss beer.
  5. @TheFlyingGerbil Not in the sense where I'm super strict about anything but I do basic stuff: Turn off lights when leaving, don't keep the heat full blasting, etc. I mean, it costs me money anyways, so there's that going against it. I do try and tailor my purchases towards things that support better practices even if they are a bit more costly. If I ever bought an appliance I would definitely do the same there. I compost, I recycle, I buy in bulk, I'm vegan, I make a lot of my own food, so I'm doing things in my way. Overall, I think that you'd have to completely change your lifestyle to have any sort of large impact. You have to live in society. Unless you move out into the woods and start living off the land there's only so much you can do. So for me it's all of the little things that I've been doing and will keep doing. I do understand my negative impacts: Computer on all of the time, buying cheap stuff from China, etc, so I know I'm making compromise. I'm not Bill Gates. There's only so much I can do with the resources available.
  6. To reiterate: The number of people who will own a PS4 on launch will be significantly lower than those who own a PS3. We don't know an exact launch date but by October 8th, if the PS4 was out, would only be at 1% to 5% of the total PS3 sales.
  7. Why would you want them to half ass a PS4 port? To actually make a game that would use the PS4s power like an exclusive would isn't something that can be done by October. All you'd get is some better textures and other minor things while excluding the tens of millions who already own PS3s. Terrible, terrible idea.
  8. I would recommend trying some Belgian beers when you can though. Typically expensive but usually worth splurging on now and then.
  9. America has the best beers. Come at me bro. No but seriously, America has an insane amount of breweries, and covers just about every style possible. Belgian beer is great but due to the popularity of making your own beer turning into a huge amount of microbreweries popping up America has so much stuff that it's impossible to keep up with. Don't worry about the country. Just worry about the beer.
  10. Oh man, yeah, Absolut isn't even that smooth compared to the fancy shit. Vodka is just that easy to drink.
  11. Isaac has a bank account he can tap into as payment for all of the crazy shit he got into in the first two games. Immersion unbroken.
  12. See, my problem is that the games mentioned aren't very immersive themselves. The first Dead Space? Sure, but DS2 and DS3 star super hero alien killing white dude.
  13. Sorry, but I know I'm playing a video game the second I can walk into any sort of store like thing and come out with an arsenal. It's already immersion breaking for me even without micro transactions.
  14. In Dead Space 3 there are fucking magic benches and machines that combine weapons, you can buy weapons from, and can completely charge your armor. But yeah, micro-transactions, shit's totally unrealistic. I have zero recollection of micro-transactions popping up in DA: O. The only DLC I can even remember was a bunch of lame quest lines.
  15. During the port they likely realized that Sony doesn't even support doing things server side like they want so that's why they made the change. For the PC version it would be a significant change.
  16. @Rev It's just a random collection of stuff I have in my house. I don't think I've ever posted anything too extravagent here. The key is just having a bunch of ingredients I can always pull from then having staples like rice, noodles, tofu, seitan, and tempeh for my vegan ass, and then just trying out stuff all of the time. I make most of my meals so sometimes stuff works sometimes stuff doesn't. In that sense I don't worry about recipes. I just worry about ingredients.
  17. The only one I've ever used is Mirin so I'm useless there. Today I marinated some tempeh in soy sauce and hot sauce and then fried it in coconut oil. Added it to Jasmine rice with hot sauce and sesame seeds and it was delicious. I used the marinade in the rice instead of using even more soy sauce. Simple and great. I need to start using healthier rices though.
  18. You think this character is so anal that he's going to hack into whatever the fuck database this is (why is a homeless guy even have a money-related database anyways? No bank account, etc) and change this himself just so it's always correct? This has to be the worst argument I've seen on this forum.
  19. ...but he would have to change the values in the database himself. Why the fuck would he do that?
  20. Haha. I'm guessing they rushed to put that out considering that's not what the space needle looks like in game. Definitely a Chronicle vibe to that pic.
  21. The only way to fix a problem is to identify it first. It's understandable that you and others wish she would provide solutions beyond that. How do you fix such a problem though? That's quite the issue to discuss. I feel like in gaming journalism period rarely are solutions offered. Industries are hard to change. That's why their recent article about minorties in games stand out because they talk about fixing the problem.
  22. Well they don't use real cities but just base the games off them so Seattle is never directly mentioned but the wide shot of the city is pretty obviously Seattle. Source: I fucking live in Seattle.
  23. How so? I don't really see that from the articles I've read. Mind you I'm not exactly searching down all of her articles on the issue but I know I've read a few here and there.
